Charity could easily have her own bedroom, but they refuse to even consider it. I think it is so unfair to that girl to expect her to share. I would place a bet that she gets up to those little girls if they need help during the night too. It just smacks of their constant "everyone must always be together" approach to things. I don't understand it.

Yes, because of course that worked so well for the Duggars.
They're really trying to model after them; the frumpy clothes, oldest girl/mum syndrome, "training children", disregard for public education- and definitely NO choosing for themselves.

On another point, I would lose my sh!t if this was all I did EVERY DAY. These kids are bored out of their mind and 100% resentful. And you can hear it too.

Yeah ... living in that house would be like Groundhog Day, wouldn't it? I love watching the kids in the background while Janelle or Art is talking to the camera and their body language and facial expressions are really telling sometimes.

I honestly don’t care if they set it up for him to be a business owner and they are fine with him bouncing back and forth every day. Whatever works for them I guess. I think, for the sake of their boring channel this could spice it up a bit. It would be interesting to see Janelle handle it all on her own. I’m sure she would get the hang of it. Maybe not in a week but eventually. I honestly haven’t watched a vlog in quite some time because it’s just more of the same. I’m okay with real life, I don’t actually like to watch vacation vlogs and stuff like that but I can’t take the monotony of that channel right now.

Maybe if one of the parents worked a full time job they wouldn't have to ration the toilet paper.

Side note: I find it odd women who cannot handle the children they have insist on having more kids. Art seems to do a better job than Janelle but maybe he needs to be like yeah we have enough now.

She really needs to give that man a break! In the latest vlog he is trying to put the step into the girls' room, but the three little girls are all over him and the work he is trying to do. Janelle needs to take them away while he gets something completed for once! They never seem to say no to those kids when they are all over something. I really think there comes a time when they should tell them to go away while something is done. No wonder they hardly ever get anything completed.

And what is with the painting in the girls' room so late at night? They did say that the three middle girls went to bed in their room for the night, but poor Charity and Lillian had to stay up late while it was painted , and then sleep for the night in a room that must have been full of paint fumes. Why not paint it first thing in the morning instead?

Oh yes .. that's right .. they are all usually asleep for half the morning. Well at least painting it in the afternoon might have been a better idea?

According to their Facebook page, Charity has gone with Janelle to a "Ladies Day Retreat". That must have been SO not interesting for a 14 year old. Why can't they let her go to something where (heaven forbid) other TEENAGERS might be instead of her mother and other adults? In that photo of them Charity looks older than her mother.

So she's a child so she can't make her own choices but then she's a "lady" and expected to be mother to her siblings and apparently she enjoys cooking and cleaning.

There was this interview I watched with a former child actress and she said in one episode she had to dance with the other child actors but since she wasn't a "real teenager" she had no idea how to dance or interact with people her own age. So they brought in "real teenagers" to teach her how to minic their behavior. This is Charity if she met another teen would she know how to be one?

She wouldn't know. I keep imagining her suddenly thrown into a high school setting or a teenage social gathering. She would absolutely no idea how to cope, which is so sad. She doesn't even look like a teenager ... I think she looks about 30 or 40 from a distance. I have mistaken her for a older woman several times when I see her in the background of a vlog.

Once again taking all those little kids to an event that was totally not appropriate for them! I understand that Art was by himself (yet again) with all the kids and probably couldn't go without them, but that lecture was NOT the place for those little girls. I'll bet the rest of the audience groaned inwardly when they saw them walk in.

How can they have all those kids and not know what counts as a good outing for kids? I wonder if they counted that as homeschooling for the day and that's why they do it.

Art took them on a lovely outing in the latest vlog. Very child-centred at the park as he let them be kids and play in water, get dirty and generally have fun. I think he is a very good father. He is odd (by his own admission), but he really does a lot for those kids and thinks of them first.

If anything ever happened to either one of them, I think that Art would cope well, but Janelle would fail dismally. He would need help with cooking, but given how he approaches life, I'm sure that he would take on the task to learn. Janelle on the other hand simply doesn't cope well with those kids on her own.

Whenever Art is by himself most of the outings are child-centred. Whenever they are together the outings are usually Janelle-centred. Whenever Janelle is by herself with the kids ... well she is never by herself with them so it is difficult to say ... but I swear that their outings would still be Janelle-centred.

She maintains that the kids enjoy the shopping and thrifting that she delights in, but their body language and facial expressions say otherwise. She really is a selfish individual. Even when she has one-on-one time with Charity, it is always something that she wants to do, not a teenage activity.

Art was capable of vlogging while taking six kids to the park. Art does seem like he's better at interacting with the kids when Janelle is gone.

He sure is.

Not only did he manage to take them to the park and give them a great time while vlogging, but he also got her birthday presents from them organised and wrapped. Did anyone else notice her face when they came home and she was standing on the porch? She looked extremely sour and not at all like a mother seeing her kids after two days away. I have a feeling that Art puts up with a lot from her when the camera isn't on.
