ThisGatheredNest: Lip Fillers and Lil Critters | Part 3
Re: ThisGatheredNest: Lip Fillers and Lil Critters | Part 3
It’s strange to me, because having a baby doesn’t seem to fit her”Go, go!” personality. Babies are sweet and helpless, but they can be kind of a burden because they are so scheduled. I enjoyed the last family vlog. there were a lot of genuine moments between the kids, and Angie with the kids. The twins are at that magic age I’ll call it, where they’re still so innocent, but full of life and curiosity. Benji is just getting to the point he doesn’t need to nap as much. They’re still babies, enjoy them!

She's said that she doesn't have her young kids on a routine, they just drop and nap anywhere so she can continue to do whatever.
I agree though, toddlers are so much fun to spend time with and you have to enjoy it whilst it lasts. I'm a big kid mama and I miss having tiny ones around. That age where they first learn so many things constantly is just wonderful. I regret renovating back when I had a 5 year old as I was too stressed and busy with the construction, i'd hate to focus all my time on that and miss out on even younger children. The thought of having 8 kids actually makes me feel really sad for all those missed moments that you normally treasure with each individual child, let alone having 8 whilst running after 25 animals and bouncing from project to project 24/7. You just can't get that time back, and recording rather than living it just makes it worse.

On that note, her latest video is titled: Where did my baby go!?WheresMyCoffee wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 10:25 am Yup. I think Benji is the last baby and now she has this weird void she doesn't know how to fill. Its so sad though because BENJI IS STILL A BABY!!!!! Her kids are all still so small and need so much attention. She isn't an empty nester, why isn't she enjoying this life she created?

Yes also started being very moody hardly smiling like the wandavision episode reminded me of her thinking the twins looked like them. Only listens to those who agree and fluff her ego.pinkflamingo wrote:i just love how she asked on her instagram if her followers agree that she looks like elizabeth olsen in wandavision (the poll was 50:50 and apparantely ppl told her she looks like her. i still dont see it ) and in her latest video angie copied olsen's hairstyle.

Did anyone see the Instagram story with her big dog laying on the dining room table and Angie screeching at him to get off.
I am completely disgusted by the fact that they have already managed to teach their dog not to listen to them. I know that he is still a “puppY but that’s just too far.
CR just sat there doing nothing

I totally forgot about the podcast!
I hate how she shuts off comments on YouTube. So often I want to leave a friendly comment about something cute one of the kids said or how big Benji is getting, but then scroll down and they are turned off.
I also don't like how she talks to viewers. She said something like, "there are things I just wont share about my family. Ever. Things are private." Or something like that. Obviously protecting privacy is a huge deal and everyone who has a channel or is on instagram or Facebook should protect privacy. It's not what she said, but HOW she said it. I think people watch her and others like her to feel a connection. Like if you have adopted kids, or a large family, or a farm etc. you want to feel a connection. I watch other channels and the people are so warm and they are not broadcasting private things about their family, but you just feel so close to them. They don't have to make a huge announcement that they are only giving you a tiny piece of them and you will never know the private things. I think we want to feel like we are friends with the you tubers we watch. Part of that is chatting in the comments. I love when a YouTuber responds to my comment. Makes me smile and feel like a friend. IDK, I just feel like she is annoyed with her viewers instead of trying to connect with them.
I love the life she built and enjoy watching her kids and her meal preps, but I just don't feel welcome or valued like I do with other you tubers.

Comments are off on this gathered nest because it's a family vlogger (it's something that youtube did to protect minors). They're on at their other channel (Angela's channel).SunnyV wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 4:49 pmI totally forgot about the podcast!

I guess that makes sense, but I watch other family vloggers and they have comments turned on (Our Tribe of Many, Grace for the Millers, Mel Datugun etc.)ins93 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 08, 2021 6:41 amComments are off on this gathered nest because it's a family vlogger (it's something that youtube did to protect minors). There are certain steps she can take to get her comments back, she might have already done it but decides to not allow the comments and then blame it on youtube. Or she just hasnt been bothered to take those steps.

i know this is the least of ashleigh's terrible parenting choices but the names hazel and mabel are far too similar.

Does Ashleigh have any active online presence? I liked her garden and chatty vlogs, I was just trying to get past the awful vocal fry she does, and wanted to see how her garden developed this year.

She build that life based on (manipulating) trying to gain connection from (lonely) people and was heavy with the 'community' and "Hello Friends" and 'grab a coffee so we can chat together' and 'lets fold laundry and chat like we're girlfriends'. I feel like she really tried to make people feel that connection, it was that following that got her book deal, sponsorships, stay at home hubby and a new farm. Then came the typical social media influencer behaviour and she didn't like any criticism, at the same time Youtube changes led her to change her content and pretend she was never a family vlogger despite 3 years of personal talk and video about all her kids. Once she hooked a thousand moms into her paid-for group she reduced the 'community/we're friends' stuff as she didn't need it as much. She can come across as arrogant, cold, preachy or resentful now as she's tried to figure out her most profitable place on Youtube.SunnyV wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 4:49 pmI totally forgot about the podcast!

I agree, you have to keep a level of distance, because at the end of the day, vloggers are out to make a paycheck. The moment this isn’t profitable enough or worth the effort, she and her family will be gone. It bugs me when viewers are called “friends” or “loves” or “tweets” or whatever, we’re just a single view or a “Like” from their perspective.wasteoftime wrote:She build that life based on (manipulating) trying to gain connection from (lonely) people and was heavy with the 'community' and "Hello Friends" and 'grab a coffee so we can chat together' and 'lets fold laundry and chat like we're girlfriends'. Super shallow comment, but I think this new hairstyle doesn't suit her, it makes her look much older. I'm not a fan of her bedroom remodel either, it's like she's trying too hard to find a style. I usually always like her aesthetics, i think she has good taste and a good instinct. I knew there was something off with her, she mentioned fatigue in her video today. I don't think she had covid, i think she is overworked. Because she's always been able to juggle multiple projects while raising a large family doesn't mean she can maintain that forever. I hope she takes some time for herself and her family. I think she's getting close to the end of her youtube career or at least the end of the family channel. Sadly this gathered nest is more popular than her personal channel so she's kinda trapped.
Re: ThisGatheredNest: Lip Fillers and Lil Critters | Part 3
I have to say I was surprised to see her numbers on the social blade page.
It puts the Angela Braniff channel at €148 - €2.4K / month and €1.8K - €28.4K /year and the family channel at €186 - €3K/month and €2.2K - €35.6K. Both have been decreasing in views and new subscribers. I'm not sure the values are accurate and it doesn't include partnerships but still, I honestly thought they were making more... It doesn't look like a lot of money if you're owning a farm, have 8 kids, and a dozen animals but I also don't live in the US so I have very little idea of how much that would cost. They also homeschool and don't have to pay for private school and don't do extracurricular activities so that must save a lot of money, I guess. I wonder if they have been paying their kids for the family channel like other YouTubers have been doing.

I have no problems with her hair but it’s quite different than her norm, especially the blocky highlights.Espeon wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 2:43 pm Super shallow comment, but I think this new hairstyle doesn't suit her, it makes her look much older. I’m guessing she had been driving back to Charlotte to have her regular hair person do her hair, and recently she tried someone more local. To me this would explain the drastic change.
That or maybe she was just ready for change! In my opinion hair is so personal it’s all about what makes the person happy themselves.

Re: ThisGatheredNest: Lip Fillers and Lil Critters | Part 3
Over on Jesssfam it showed her fees were 10-30k for a 1-2 minute ad depending on the platform, so with the large companies the Braniffs work with I would guess they're making at least half that per ad. Then there's several months of her online group (I can't remember how long it was running for? At least 5-6 months? with 1100 subs each paying $10 a month, her share was sizeable), and all the book money. She said she had a second book deal. They also mentioned a cook book and were really pushing CRs cooking, but then they stopped that after the move. Probably because the poor guy is busy looking after all the kids, the animals and the constant DIY, whilst Angie is getting her beauty procedures and dolling herself up and talking to the camera.
I was looking for her old curriculum videos and saw some of the old family vlogs, I can't believe how different they were back from 2015-2018 before the new YT rules came in. The camera used to be in all of the kids faces the entire vlogs.
She's seemed her normal self with walking around chatting, doing the cleaning and reorganising and showing the fencing etc so I didn't see any 'dip' in energy. She still seems manic jumping from project to project. She talked about insomnia which makes anyone tired. I have conditions that cause profound exhaustion though so I guess I have a different range when I think of fatigue. I certainly wouldn't be getting 3 puppies in 6 months in a patch of heavy fatigue. I think a lot of people are curious about having the antibodies given our current situation and it's relevant trending content though.

Her new video, 'how to raise baby chicks', is so Angie. She's that person who's always the expert of everything. I'm not saying she shouldn't share what she's doing, but in the video it sounds like she's trying to educate people instead of sharing her experience as she goes. Phil from Phil and Alex did the same with his maple syrup video. If you don't know her and watch this video, you might think she's done that time and time again, so you follow her advice. It's a bit dishonest imo
