I doubt that Janelle is self-aware enough to edit out what casts her in an unflattering light. If she were, she’d notice the looks of alternating misery and boredom as they prepare for yet another session of sitting in the Beast Bus as their mother and sister visit a bulk food supplier (85lbs of fruit we’ve never tried!), grocery store (no snacks for anyone but Janelle- kids just need pizza and mayonnaise), or thrift store (Mommy is looking for things to fill the hole that children just don’t cover, and Charity has found a book recommended for grades 5-7).

This. Totally agree. Also add....Charity finds 1000th ball of 1/2 used yarn and Janelle adds more “retired” 31 Bags to her ever growing “stash to give away”. Lol

That "31" corner where they put the hooks up looks dreadfully messy. Why does Janelle insist on having them on display all the time? She seems quite obsessed with those bags.

Imagine if Janelle put as much time and effort into 1 paying job as she does into all these plans she has to make money. Art seems like a better stay at home parent anyway.

The bags looked better displayed on the table. I suspect the little girls wouldn't leave then alone though and they didn't stay arranged. The hanging bags don't look good. Bad spacing. The handles are too long causing the top bags to almost overlap the lower hooks. I think Janelle wanted them out so her video customers could see them and ask questions. Saves Janelle from having to search for them. It may be practical, but it's certainly not visually appealing.

I’m convinced they must just love playing that “thrifty/frugal family” role. They spend SO much time “saving money” that they waste a whole lot of time. You’re right, Art is so great with them.

I've noticed with couples that claim to be frugal and go on and on about working for yourself and the security of it. Yet they seem to put in so much effort for so many different ventures that I don't see how it can be less stressful. I bet if you figure out how many hours they put in for the return they're probably making well below minimum wage so what they get paid in the satisfaction of being able to say but but but I worry from home for MYSELF. I think that's why so many of them fall for MLM as well.

So true. To each their own but it’s like, driving from store to store to “shop the sale”. If it works for you, great! I don’t have the time for it. My time is worth more than what I’d save driving from store to store.

It looked to me that Janelle was in the way. Why did she park her butt there rather than at the dining table? So she could mention that she was doing her "31 business"? hah.

I don't think I'd want the boys carrying those long boards into my house. Can you imagine what they'd hit/knock over? lol.

I didn't mind Lydia doing the vlogging. I did notice the door was eventually propped open. Should have been from the start rather than depending on Lydia to hold it open and vlog too. I've always felt Lydia got left out...being caught in the middle. A lot of years between her and Charity, yet she's older than the "little girls".

Charity is the big sister. Mary has been referred to as cute. Grace is happy and easy, I think Art favors her. And then Lillian is the baby. At least Grandma has started including Lydia in some of the outings with Charity.

I thought the same thing. Why didn't Janelle get off her butt and help that poor man? Not only did he have to carry all of the wood by himself, but he had to manoeuvre it around her! She could have easily sat somewhere else so that she wasn't in the way.

I really wish they would do something with John's teeth. His front teeth are appalling and Lydia's aren't any better. Maybe now that Charity has had her braces John might be lucky enough to get some too?

I also cannot STAND when the kids vlog. I think the younger boy does an okay job but it’s still not my favorite. I always forward passed. Which is funny because I usually don’t actually sit and watch, I’m cleaning etc. but l walk across the room to forward it. And yes, I sure hope the kids get dental help. If Charity did, I would assume they will try to help the others. I hope!

John was born with cleft lip/palate. I don't know if his repair is complete? Maybe they are waiting on him being a certain age to finish his dental work? He does need it. I've wondered about Lydia too. She's nearly 7. I don't know if those are her baby teeth or not.

Art is the one who said Mary was the cute one. Janelle hushed him up quick saying it's the inner beauty that's important. I was surprised that wasn't edited out. To me, Mary doesn't have Janelle's look. She was next to Janelle's mom one time and I thought she favored her, but that was awhile back. Mary has a Minnie Mouse voice when she vlogs. haha.

I didn't realise that John had a cleft palate. All the more reason though to make sure that he is taken care of medically surely? As far as Lydia's teeth go, Im fairly sure that the front ones that are the problem are her second teeth. They are shocking.

I don't think Mary is in the least bit cute. Apart from Janelle herself, Mary is the one who irritates me the most.

I noticed that Janelle was parked on her butt yet again to watch when Art was painting all those boards. I thought Janelle was the one who always does the painting because she has stated that she is "so much better at it"? Apparently she only paints when it suits her. I'm not an expert on these things by any means, but the amount of wood they doesn't anywhere near enough to cover that front porch. I hope they aren't simply doing a patch-up job and leaving some of the old boards there? From the look of it, it really needs a complete repair.

If John had a cleft I wonder if he's being followed. One of my kiddos had a cleft and every year we have a follow up on how things are growing if we'll need any additional surgery etc.

I'm jealous at how much uninterrupted free time Janelle seems to have. I take care of my 2 yr old granddaughter and can't complete a 5 minute task.

On a recent video she was outside in the yard while the little ones napped, definitely out of earshot. And she mentioned coming in at something like 4:20, certainly the girls had been up for their nap for a long time. Charity does way too much.

Janelle is like a child. I don't think she could function with 2 or 3 kids, no older kids to do most of the work, an average husband who is away at work all day, and parents who don't live in the same town.

Charity is their second mother. Too much responsibility is placed on a girl her age. She should be out having fun with friends, not looking after her little sisters all day. I think that Janelle was always the cherished daughter and emotionally stayed at the age of eighteen which was when she married. She has never grown up because she didn't have to. She was handed from her parents to her husband and all of them have looked after her. She really has no idea of how to function independently and certainly has a wonderful life with everyone supporting her. Heaven help her if anything ever happens to Art, but I suppose her parents would simply step in to fill the gap in raising the kids. I often wonder about her brother and what he thinks of it all.

Poor Charity will have to do even more today because it's Mother's Day while Janelle sits around demanding even more of the attention.

Quite a while ago maybe close to two years ago now when I first began watching one of Janelle's relatives got into something about how she cares for the kids in the comments mostly about the food rationing and that's when Janelle began this hyper-focus on how HEALTHY they eat and how much they eat from the garden. Yet, what do we see? Cream of soups in the crockpot and bread pizza.

I am convinced that those kids don't get enough to eat.
