I completely agree with you. The could all go vegan or vegetarian for a week...do some creative cooking and show people what it’s like for a newbie to give up meat. Or go a whole week drinking only water (even in restaurants...no Starbucks) or give everyone a fitness challenge...like Couch to 5k. Challenges don’t have to involve the shopping mall and spending money

Also...there seems to be no substance in their lives. Maybe homeschool but otherwise it’s all about Starbucks, Disney and shopping. The girls do a little bit of cheerleading...but that’s it! I’m glad for Evie that she has a friend and I was also glad to see the cousins..it means she has a relationship with her brother. But I watch a few family vloggers and they mostly seem to have real jobs and the kids go to school. This lifestyle can’t be sustainable for a family, surely?

All these purchases they make for the videos, they probably write them off and make bank come tax season. It wouldn't surprise me if they get caught up in some tax evasion situation or something.

I was thinking the same thing - tax write-off's for the "I'll Buy" challenges. I am guessing those videos are prob scripted and the girls are told what is in boundary for that particular challenge. And, why don't the boys get to participate in the "I'll Buy" challenges? Or at least get something bought for them as well. Doesn't seem fair to me... or maybe, I am just missing something.

Kendal has said a couple times that the boys don’t want to do it. Sebi has participated in the last couple but the end up “cheating” for him and Bones anyway. And of course this last one they “donated it all to charity” .... one pair of shoes and some legos. Really?

I don’t even get the impression that Daniel is convinced a YouTube life is the way forward. He used to have an escape from his fame hungry wife for eight hours a day and now he doesn't anymore. I kinda feel bad for the guy. Who would want to be married to her?

I mean .. obviously he does, bc he did it lol. I never feel bad for the husbands in these situations bc they put themselves there and could stand up to their wife if they don’t like it. It’s his own fault for being a pushover and letting her be the way she is towards him.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I remember him getting a new job in Florida, which is why they moved there in the first place. I think he quit that job only a few months later to do YouTube full-time (which is very weird).

Something isn’t adding up though, because I remember him saying after he “retired” that he’d been with the same company since college. So maybe his company had an office in Florida?

Anyway, I don’t think this is a healthy dynamic. You can tell Kendal wears the pants in the marriage now more than ever, and it was bad enough when Daniel was the main bread winner.

And does anyone else notice how the relationship between Daniel and their oldest child (Evie) is off? All the kids seem very close to him except Evie. Maybe it’s because she is the only teen, but it’s actually sad to see how distant she is towards him, especially compared to the other kids. Kendal and Evie are complete BFF’s, so I’m not sure what the issue is between her and Daniel.

Yes I did notice that but I also thought he seems unsure of how to treat or talk to a teenager. I think he seems like a really nice guy but a total pushover and he’s probably a bit awkward around Evie who is more woman than child. I think it’s natural though. I also have a 16 year old and a 14 year old daughter and they naturally seem more comfortable around me than around my husband even though he hasn’t done anything to warrant the often tetchy attitudes of his teenage daughters.

Kendal just did an Instagram live where she confirmed they won’t be making vlogs anymore because not enough people were watching them unless they used clickbait titles. She basically confirmed they are now a full-time challenge channel.

I’ve been subscribed to their channel for years, but only recently started watching every day a few months ago. Sucks that they basically quit vlogging just as I got really interested in their channel. They were the only family vlog I was interested in.

So basically she admits that she only cares about the views and the $$? I thought the purpose of being a family channel was to capture memories of your kids growing up and shit like that? As annoying as I find them, it's sad she'd rather film stupid challenge videos instead of things are actually meaningful to her family like Disney and the kids' birthdays, life milestones etc. She's such a sellout.

I feel bad for the kids. Most little kids are playing with toys or hanging out with friends while their mom drags them to the mall everyday and forces them to make challenge videos. Like I get doing one every now and then but those kids must be so tired of them by now.

I think they are going to burn out their channel only doing challenges, and it’s going to happen quick. They aren’t creative enough to keep them interesting. Everything is “if you can do this, I’ll buy it”

I wonder how long they can keep this up for? The videos continue to get tons of views, unfortunately. They’re all getting over 100,000 views almost instantly. I noticed one of them got over 600,000. The YouTube algorithm must be pushing challenge videos for whatever reason. The few that I’ve watched were OK, but I much prefer the VLOG style videos. They should do at least 1-2 VLOG videos per week to keep adult subscribers engaged. I can’t see anyone other than little kids watching these “challenges”. I mean, they are just so friggin’ stupid.

I think you’re right. I bet they’ve had many discussions about this. However, I think they’re using the children like machines. Day in and day out they have to play this happy charade for the camera
