We get tornados and have never made a big deal if it like they are; if we k is it’ll storm all night we sleep in the basement so it’s more quiet for the kids. If a storm pops up, all 3 of our kids will sleep through us carrying them downstairs to our safe spot, or if they do wake up we keep it dark and calm and they’ll go back to sleep down there.
They would be better off taking this year to try composting, and really studying their yard and experiencing their new lifestyle on the land to figure out where a garden would work best. Spend more time researching and everything, no need for them to rush with everything in their near future!
Alex referring to herself as a ‘hot mess express’ looks better than when she tries too hard with her make-up. Just keep it natural and be comfy; it suits her much better.

Phil’s IG stories said they already lost two chicks to “natural causes.” What baby dies of “natural causes?” They died because Phil and Alex are idiots.

Especially ones that are inside out of the elements, and under heat lamps. They are pretty low maintenance at this point! Unless their box is too big, and the chick died because it was too cold? There’s not many lampsVeruca_Salt wrote:Phil’s IG stories said they already lost two chicks to “natural causes.” What baby dies of “natural causes?” They died because Phil and Alex are idiots.

It also can be too crowded and they’ll get “run over” by their fellow chicks...or it could be too hot as well...if they don’t have enough space to get away from the lamp.Chatabox wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 10:33 pmEspecially ones that are inside out of the elements, and under heat lamps. They’ve only showed it in their stories, so I can’t include a pic. But it’s large. Big enough that 4-5 people could easily sit it in. Alex was giving the chicks “connection time” the other day and was sitting in it with the chicks, so you could see the size easier. There was heaps of space. I believe there is only one lamp in a corner. Re: Phil and Alex: clickbait, vlog’s late, & kids they don’t appreciate | Part 8
It could have been her “handling” them including not enough space under the lamp and unmedicated feed...not enough clean water etc...and if they got the chicks from a store they might already carry something that will decimate themChatabox wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 5:45 pmThey’ve only showed it in their stories, so I can’t include a pic. Remember same lady that peed on a stick and then say it right next to find she was preparing....isthisnormal wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 4:46 pm So even after learning that pregnancy and chicken shit don't mix, she proceeds to cook dinner in the same shirt she was giving the chicks "connection time" in by putting them on her chest at forehead. Has she totally lost it? Is their water off again and she can't shower? She BAFFLES me.
All I thought when she was sitting in that box was I wish she was doing that with the girls.. not chickens. I've said it before I'll say it again. Undiagnosed bipolar disorder. Her downswing is coming. Next manic episode I bet on goats... Horse seems a bit big. But this is Alex....

Yesterday she did her 33 week bump picture, problem being that yesterday she was 33w 6days. Today she's 34w and was wondering if she should post it as a 33 w picture then take another one and post it as a 34w picture in a few days.
Oh my stars! Just do it as a 34, we are confused enough on your vlogs as they are so behind, don't confuse us on Instagram too!

Alex on insta stories talking about how she took a 2 hour nap.. And she says "I cant remember the last time I took a nap!" She repeated several times.. WHAT is this the same lady who was laid up in bed for 2 weeks with what we can only assume was a cold?!

Ok so I watched the vlog last night were they get the chicks....
I am surprised that they haven’t lost more than 2 chicks. That black box at 75f is pretty warm already. The brood lamp they have is for chicks that are actually in climate that’s colder. We had our chicks under a lamp with a regular light bulb(I think 75watt) because southern Alabama gets warm this time a year..and they did fine...
The box is also too small for the chicks too move away from the warmth.
I am not going to start talking about the mower Phil got

What gave them the impression that anyone would be excited, let alone care at all, that they got chicks? They’re like “if you’re not on IG, you missed this info 6 months ago when it happened - sucks for you.” But like, I’m actually jealous of the people who only had to watch them get chicks once.

Alex said they would be eating any roosters. We'll see though

They were in this box when they died. I can’t get a good shot of it though from insta. I’m sure it will be in the next vlog. But that last vlog was all about the chickens and so damn boring!Amsouthernbell wrote:Ok so I watched the vlog last night were they get the chicks....

Theoretically you have to keep chicks separate from each other to make sure that one “flock” isn’t sick and infects the other flock...
Another thing is that they got their chickens from Tractor supply...while living in Tennessee....they could have gotten some very nice chicks from a farm/homestead in their area. I am pretty sure it would have been very easy to find some.
If they would have done that I would guess that the survival rate would be higher because the chicks would have been already exposed to the local climate.
Tractor supply is not the best option...IMO...even with social distance they could have gotten better quality for the same price.
Phil is going to regret that Mower as well...can’t wait

That's a LOT of land for Phil to keep mowed...something tells me,even w that big mower,he's going to tire of it soon.
If they're going to farm, they'd be better off doing something profitable with all that land, like growing soybeans.Chickens are good for personal use,but I'd just rather buy eggs, they inexpensive anyway. Not worth the trouble of raising them, imo
