Does she think every person who is lactose intolerant has brown teeth?!
God forbid any of the young ones find out they’re lactose as they’re growing up, wonder if Ruby would make a blog panicking about her kids teeth possibly turning brown because of her one incident in college (probably because she didn’t brush them for a long time which we know she doesn’t do often even now lol)

Re: 8 Passengers: can't stop lying, freeze drying, or impulse buying! | Part 19
Do you really believe those kids are happy? They aren't allowed to be _unhappy_. Chad doesn't seem happy to me, Abby and Julie seem like they're faking being happy, and Russell has issues for sure. Eve was SIX when Ruby refused to take her a lunch. That isn't teaching a child independence. That's teaching a child that you don't give a shit if they go hungry. And a child who isn't growing isn't "healthy". Shari has lots of health issues, and when she needed to go to the ER, her mom took a shower, which let's face it, normally isn't a priority for her, and cleaned the bathroom.SamPatel99 wrote:Well Ruby’s justification for the Eve lunch thing and how she parents the other kids is to teach them responsibility and make them independent which as much as I hate to say it, is true. While we find a lot of basic humane issues in what she does, her kids are happy, most of them are healthy, and they are actually independent. So I guess that means Shari moving out sorta fits with the parenting scheme of building independence? Plus isn’t it just as common for families in America to expect their kids to move out after they graduate/when they start college as it would be to keep them at home even if they’re near by?
I’m not agreeing with what Ruby’s doing, more so trying to justify but tbh Shari also looks excited about moving out and doing things on her own, it’s how she was raised and even besides that she seems like the one who has it sorta in built into her personality to want to move out for college and stuff, she’s the oldest so it must be a nice break too...can’t judge her for that (as a senior in college myself at least)
Of all the things we can @ them and scrutinize them for, I think this one ain’t one of them. IMO it makes the most logical sense for their family from what we’ve seen so I’m gonna refrain BUT if they give Shari the sedan now that’s a whole new story haha
Or if they still expect her to move and they haven’t resolved the $$ issue and refuse to support her then that’s messed up. I wonder if it all got transferred to an account with Ruby’s name, how hard could it be for her to just move it back?!?!
Unless it’s an account with her name that she didn’t make?
Chad had his bed taken away for a YEAR after being sent away.
I'm sorry, I just don't see "happy, healthy" kids.

By refusing to give your kid a lunch when they forget it basically it's saying that it's ok to skip a meal every once and a while. That is not good as eve could have health problems because of that and potentially have body and weight issues too. No 5 year should be expected to starve when they forget their lunch. While I'm sure that eve survived without having a lunch but that doesn't mean I agree with Ruby's decision to not give eve a lunch when she forgot it. It is not realistic to expect a 5 year old to remember to pack and bring their lunch.lmmomSD wrote:Do you really believe those kids are happy? They aren't allowed to be _unhappy_. HAHAHA THAT HAIR. I love that she introduced her haircut in an ad, it's probably the only way she will get anyone to actually watch the ad.

I don’t know about you but I think Kevin is for sure meeting escortsSamPatel99 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 12:23 am This is going to sound weird but despite all the scrutinizing things I post on here about Ruby I actually do feel terrible for her and also sometimes wonder if she reads these or has begun to because her behavior recently seems to be changing... More on more as time goes on I feel bad for the predicament shes in because kevin is also to blame for 1/2 the issues if not more. Ruby might have not gotten an education but im sure its hard when you have a young child and are supporting your husbands dreams (who is also older) while trying to make ends meet as a young adult and little guidance as shes the oldest of 5. It was ofc her choice but idk I feel some sort of compassion after her scared kevin wouldn't come back comment. Shes told us how she was often asked if she was a single parent and the fact that she brought it up a bunch early-mid covid whenever she talked about grateful to have kevin home, it seems like its something she sort of still holds onto maybe out of spite or self-assurance that shes been through tough times before too? From what she does do (lil or lot) it seems like she handles everything between doctors, clothing, school supplies, cleaning etc., while kevin just cooks from time to time and takes the kids on trips. No wonder she makes comments about how everyone loves kevins food more than hers or how hes always good cop because he literally always comes off to be and then he acts smug about it in front of the kids... Like hes hardly there and then whenever they're like "we like it when dad makes it more" he gets this smirk on thats just so rude. I read this on here sometime last year but kevin literally seems like hes in it for the physical stuff and for the public image in their community (married, lots of babies, a good job, big house etc)...Hes always gone and I think he likes it that way, pretty condescending and idk just looks creepy. I wish he did more than just take the kids on a ski trip now and then and one kid on an international trip once a year...
I also think I like her a lot more when she features in sharis channel because I find Shari WAY worse than ruby. Shari was given every resource growing up and education and still seems as much if not more (for those reasons^) out of touch than her mother. Ruby on Sharis vlog seems real and actually likeable. I did like her advice about her getting longer bangs and glad she spoke up about it lol - she seems less fake or putting on a show and more like the regular supportive mom of teens i guess?
Ive also noticed that they stopped filming school related stuff that makes it into the vlogs, in the classroom but are more in the living room or kitchen - what was the point of buying all that ikea stuff and turning it into a school room for the lil's then? Could have given that space to abby and julie so they could still have separate bedrooms but they all seem happy so thats nice.
Im glad ruby pays her kids for grades - I feel like less than the majority of parents do that kind of stuff (the only ones I know that do are on youtube lol) and it might be her way of giving the youtube $$ back to the kids but in a way where they're striving towards it/earning it? IDK if thats the case and I know the amount she pays them is way less than what they probably make but at least its something and its a good lesson in saving up for college so shes not wrong about that...
I can't stand how ignorant she is about the world around her but as a person I can understand why she makes some decisions she does, a wise ass daughter like shari, absent husband, a temper tantrum thrower in russell and mischievous eve OFC no one told her to have this many kids but she did and it must be hard to do it alone most of the time (people have it way worse im aware). Not to mention she grew up probably having to be the role model or something for the other 4 siblings and her parents seem like they probably were hella overbearing on her...
I hope these subtle changes were seeing in their vlogs and her attitude continue to carry on and one day allow her to see constructive criticism comments as a way for self betterment because I think if she really took a second to step away from her defensive attack dog position, she could find some truth in it.

And also, I don't think it's because of a positive influence of Ruby's that Shari is excited to move out on her own. Most 18 year olds are excited to go to college or move out and get their first real job. And for Shari I believe a lot of it is escaping her whacko mother, having to parent her siblings, and having some freedom.

Lol never heard an 18 year old be excited about anything you just said. Most 18 year olds are just as nervous and anxious about what they should do beyond high school just as much as a person who’s in their twenties.lmmomSD wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 4:50 pm And also, I don't think it's because of a positive influence of Ruby's that Shari is excited to move out on her own. You can be excited and anxious at the same time. My kids were excited to go to college and they were nervous. That's normal human emotions. Fear of the unknown.chrisQtheone wrote:Lol never heard an 18 year old be excited about anything you just said. I know I was excited about going to college, and my son was nervous but super excited to move to Montana. My niece and nephews were excited about going to college too.chrisQtheone wrote:Lol never heard an 18 year old be excited about anything you just said. Maybe we're just a weird family. But nobody was treated the way Ruby treats her kids.

God Ruby is just a piece of shit person. Well Ruby and Kevin. I go back and forth with having some empathy for Ruby because she’s obviously ignorant and a product of her environment but holy shit she just takes everything too far. Their attitudes are so disgusting and the pack your bags title is literally a jab at the people who watch their videos bc the outrage around the “they can’t live with us after 18” controversy. Such shitty people. Like I get wanting your kids to have independence but don’t be fooled, that’s not what Ruby and Kevin want. They want mindless fucking Mormon robots. They are awful parents. More and more they show how much they don’t care about their family. The kids are suffering and they don’t even know it. Maybe the leave at 18 is a good thing in this case so they can get the hell away from those two. I feel bad for Shari I feel like a mental breakdown is going to be inevitable for her.

I've never heard of an 18 year old that wasn't excited about going to college and moving into a dorm or apartment. I know I was and all of my kids were. Nervous? Possibly but mostly excited.chrisQtheone wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 5:01 pmLol never heard an 18 year old be excited about anything you just said. Yea it’s not good the whole situation, if they weren’t Mormons and where Catholics or even Atheists Shari would be one hundred percent a totally different person than she is right now as well as all her other siblings. The whole religion thing is one of the top problems in this world of this so called life we live in.madewitty wrote: ↑Sun Mar 21, 2021 3:22 am God Ruby is just a piece of shit person. I agree with what youre saying 100% I guess I should have said that that is how they appear to her** So it reinforces the idea of her parenting method actually working even though we know as viewers that it doesn't. Once again, im not saying I agree with what shes doing or that any of it is responsible or appropriate behavior but im just trying to see if there's any reason or way she would be led to thinking this is right because maybe that way it feels a little less helpless on our part of thinking shes doing this knowingly (cruel af) vs it being a result of her cycle of parenting (not that either are good options). My bad!lmmomSD wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 1:25 pmDo you really believe those kids are happy? They aren't allowed to be _unhappy_. I haven’t watched or followed along here for ages but I just clicked on the MS vlog, what a scary time for poor Shari that must be really difficult to take in,
On a totally different note and what actually made me come on here was Julie! My gosh that girl has grown into a beautiful young lady I almost didn’t recognise her when she got in the car!

But it was ruled out before Ruby made the vlog. Shari already made videos about it. But of course, the doctors don't know what they are talking about. The Griffiths and Google have it figured out. Just like Jennifer had a heart attack and stage 3 kidney failure.Lauralou_15 wrote:I haven’t watched or followed along here for ages but I just clicked on the MS vlog, what a scary time for poor Shari that must be really difficult to take in,

Not saying that it wasn't scary for Shari. She posted some awfully cheerful instastories from the ER, though. And ridiculous Ruby took an hour to shower and clean the bathroom before taking Shari to the ER.

I wish I could see Shari's Instagram stories but unfortunately she blocked me just like ruby did. I guess they block people who don't agree with their opinions. I bet ruby may have blocked me on behalf of shari since she controls her account. Kevin still hasn't blocked me yet. I guess their afraid that I will tell somebody on them and get them in trouble so they blocked me. I don't understand why anyone would want to support this horrible family.Kattiness Everdeen wrote:Shari is roasting Ruby on her IG Stories right now if anyone is interested. I vote Lord Farquaad.

Maybe Shari is shading her mom because she’s glad that people have moved on to ruby and aren’t making fun of her bangs. Ruby’s hair definitely ages her and is not cute.
