Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
He didn't specify, he just said "oh, the doctor said I lost weight." Could be a pound, couple of pounds, whatever. If he doesn't keep up the lifestyle changes, the walking, the "eating better" (Jersey Mike's and putting butter/oil on your green beans doesn't count) then he can kiss whatever weight loss he has goodbye.HelloSweetie1 wrote:I honestly don't believe that a doctor would really count 1 pound. I mean, my weight fluctuates about 4-5 pounds during the day. Did he actually specify it was only 1 pound?
The skeptic in me says that this is Bryan, and he could be lying and saying the doctor noticed just to point it out because no one else noticed. Cue the minions saying "you look great Bryan!".

I know they feel that Ollie is safe in the pool because he went to swim class but geez put down the damn camera! I almost had a panic attack lol Accidents do happen. And if he was sooo sick why would you take him in the pool. It might just be my culture but growing up if you were sick you stayed in the house.
I really could care less about their weight. My thing is that they just jump on whatever train everyone else is on.

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I agree with everyone saying Bryan shouldn't be "rewarding" himself with food. A new t shirt or a guilt free night of binge watching Netflix is my idea of a reward and I think you should only be rewarding yourself at intervals. Like 5 pounds down, 10 pounds down, etc. Be proud for every pound you lose and keep off, but don't reward yourself for every one.
Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I agree about Bryan. Congrats on the 6 pounds! 3 weeks in is when your actions start becoming habits. Keep going!rdt1004 wrote:Bryan knows how to be healthy and workout, he's done it before, even with Missy being a bitch and teasing him with her junk food. So he can't just act like he's ignorant about it all. If he wants change, he has to work for it. I'm trying to lose weight now and that's something I remind myself all the time. It's been 3 weeks and I've lost 6 pounds and I'm proud for every pound lost.

I think those green beans and potatoes they eat are the Green Giant steamables ones you buy in the frozen section. A frozen vegetable is better than no vegetable, but I think the nutrition definitely goes out the window when those vegetables are loaded with butter. Those steamables come with butter already in the bag.

No, we stayed in when we were sick too. I mean, they both had sweatshirts on the other night when they went for a walk, you could hear it was windy, but Ollie had bare feet and a tshirt. He was sick! Sick enough to need steroids is pretty sick... unless their doctor is prescription happy (which I suspect) and Missy pushes for drugs.calichic29 wrote:I know they feel that Ollie is safe in the pool because he went to swim class but geez put down the damn camera! I would still watch my toddler in the pool, or bath. It is common to have a dry drowning. It happens more often than parents think. The child inhales water under the water and either the parent doesn't notice, or thinks the child is fine. They then get sleepy later in, and the parents think they are just tired from swimming. They put them to bed and they just don't wake up. Sad, but true. I would tell Missy but we know she won't listen anyway.
I also wouldn't have a warm vaporizer running in a room with a toddler that could figure out how to climb out of his crib any day now. Or just talk to them through the baby monitor after they wake up from a nap if there is a suspicion of absence seizures. If I knew he were awake, I'd get in there, because it is most common for them to happen right after a nap. How can you honestly say it hasn't happened since if you aren't around to see? They might as well skip the Neuro appt... they don't want answers unless it's "you guys are the perfect parents!"

I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure croup is a viral infection. Would steroids even really be helpful for that?HelloSweetie1 wrote:No, we stayed in when we were sick too. I was on a swim team as a kid. My parents still didn't let me swim in the pool without keeping an eye on me. Ollie is by no means water safe. Yes he can float a little and will go under for a second but he's can't actually swim to the side for safety by himself.
The ironic thing about your comment on them only wanting to hear that they're perfect is that perfect parents would do everything in their power to make sure their children are healthy. Seizures are usually a malfunctioning in brain wiring. Not something that they would have caused or prevented. I really hope they find an answer for those.

I've been sick so I've been watching old vlogs. It's becoming more and more obvious to me that they've changed They r so different in this video.
Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
yes the steroiid does help, its a inhaled steroid that strengthens there lungs, croup only really effects infants. My daughter woke up choking and gasping for air one night and she had croup, i brought her to the e.r because she was clearly struggling for breath, and they said her o2 was low and it was a good thing i brought her in, they put steroid in her oxygen machine and it fixed her up in hours.angelfire89 wrote:I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure croup is a viral infection. Lol same here I took my daughter to the ER when she had croup she was lethargic and it was pretty scary. I just remember her her getting a steroid shot it was long ago so i wasnt sure exactly what it was for. Not all cases need steroids though. If Ollie was fine enough later in the day to go for a walk, then I suspect he wasn't that bad. I mean, Bryan didn't even go to the "hospital" with them. If Ollie were gasping and Bryan elected to work, then that would shock me... and I'm no Bryan fan!jjtard wrote:lol im not a dr too, just a momma thats been through it, could be for the throat, all i know is the steroids WORK miracles.lidialove2912 wrote:I thought steroids were for the throat swelling
My 6 month old has had croup for a few days now. We are to keep an eye on it, treat the infection as you would any cold (virus), and give him an anti-histamine to help dry up the mucus. The doctor said only severe cases need steroids. It reduces the swelling and inflammation.
I thought they referred to his meds as a pill though? Not a breathing treatment.
Remember the time Missy went to the doctor with a cold and came back with an armload of drugs? I think their doctor is a bit drug happy

Yeah, they seem more authentic. Bryan doesn't talk in that weird voice that he does now, all fake excited and stuff...and Missy actually seems happy!! This was before I started watching them, so I don't even recognize those people! So sadEponine24601 wrote:I've been sick so I've been watching old vlogs. I'm TOTALLY not seeing what you guys are seeing.
I still see Missy, the entitled, self centred Princess, making a big deal about her husband daring to eat a chocolate he thought she was done with because she'd left it for a couple days. Come on, her last day of work everyone HAD to all eat the same sandwich because Princess Missy said so? And the way she acted in the baby aisle?
I still see Bryan teasing Karma. I still see them trying to beg for cool points on instagram. And did you see their closet/room? Obviously they were just as lazy back then.
The only difference I see, is that Missy's hair was less fried, Bryan's face was thinner and he didn't speak with so much faux exuberance. They were still the same old Lanning's we've all come to know and hate-watch.
Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I feel like her lisp was stronger back then. Maybe cause she wasn't as used to talking on camera. She was really excited and happy in that vlog too and when she gets like that she talks faster and the lisp comes out heavier.
