What are they even talking about? They've been lying in for months now.

Not defending them in the least bit.
In my experience, cloth diapering a newborn is awful. Meconium is a bitch to get out of diapers. After I found out the hard way, we stop cloth diapering for a few weeks until he was a little more chunky and the diapers fit better.

Do hospitals teach new parents about olive oil on the bum to help with meconium changes? I've only had birth center births but it's pretty standard there. Just curious because he said they had to scrape her bum to get it off.

Meh in my experience it was fine it came right out and I had diapers that snapped down for the cord stump.

I remember her musing on whether or not she should take a breastfeeding class. If I knew she was this clueless, I would've commented telling her to do it for sure!

Why even go see a lactation consultant if you're going to listen to a naturopath "doctor's" advice over theirs?? Do they not realize that naturopaths are not LCs and only have basic knowledge about lactation just like MDs? If you want breastfeeding advice from an expert who won't steer you wrong, see an IBCLC

Judging by Instagram, they also don't know how to do baby wearing either. Lots of nice people are giving them advice, because what they posted is completely incorrect. The sad thing is this information is readily available and there are probably YouTube videos out there, and they're still clueless.

Yeah there are tons of babywearing videos available. Plus they probably have local babywearing groups in their area that are a fabulous resource. Even Missy could have showed them while she was there.

lol right when he said that I immediately thought I need to go to ytmd to see what everyone has to say about this! ... I agree it's kinda what was already happening? Lol other than doctors appointments but they act like that took the entire day.

Honestly I'm surprised she didn't take that photo down

Did he actually ask about taking their newborn to the movies? Why can't they wait a little while until she's older? Idiots.

They showed Corbin "baby-wearing" Juniper, then he said "she looks so comfortable"
They obviously didn't care that the position was wrong.

Also Corbin's voice is so f'ing annoying
"Oh my goodnesssss my loovee, it'ssss aaa blankeeett. It looks handmadeee. Aweeee it's cuteeeee".

Then he said it's "so relaxing just staying home to bond with June"
LITERALLY THATS YOUR LIFE
ALL YOU DO IS STAY HOME
YOU DONT HAVE A REAL JOB.

No Kelsey nipples don't callus and scabs aren't normal. She seriously needs a lactation consultant because the latch is obviously not right. I'm glad she has an appointment.

Presents from FamilLeague (aka BabyLeague) and Trending Family (Justin's business must be taking off), so what did Fullscreen send them??

Who the heck would buy that shirt? It only makes sense for them to wear it.

It's flu season. Yes. Take your newborn to an enclosed room where other people are breathing germs everywhere. Then you can have "Newborn RSV! Scary ER Visit!"

Lol at them wanting a lie-in and then getting cabin fever like a day later. Can't wait to hear what the lactation consultant says..maybe "get a new doctor" or "your doctor is a moron". Haven't heard anymore about pumping either.
The only other thing that bothers me is the dog. Don't let your dog lick your baby! Or lie next to them in their space or think they can take toys away. Paris should have his own dog bed in a crate at night too so he doesn't jump in the cradle or step in Juniper since I'm pretty sure he sleeps in bed with them.
Just my pet peeve that pets are pets and kids are kids.

We didn't let the dog lick our kids as newborns, but once they got bigger, he did lick their faces. Drove my daughter's OCD neatfreak godmother nuts. I'm with you on the newborn though. And that the dog should have her own space. She's likely feeling a bit put out.
