So from Joan's latest instagram post and the comments ... did I misunderstand something or did she drop Vera's head on the concrete as a newborn? Wtf?

But why?? Why not wear your baby as long as it’s comfortable? There’s nothing unsafe about baby wearing while pregnant. Women have done it forever! It doesn’t cause anything to go wrong, it doesn’t hurt the baby. And Vera is old enough to be worn on the back now.

Are you effing kidding me. This to me is worse than eating ashes, then all the crazy shit that’s come before. That now she will not pick up Vera or hold her or wear her while she’s pregnant. Is this a fucking joke because I actually cannot. My mind is officially blown.

Can't figure out how to post the picture right now, but she posted a pic of Vera right after birth with red marks on her face from the delivery (was she stuck in the pelvis or something?) and then also a picture of Vera now with a goose egg on her head from slamming her head into the pavement, with the caption "She's a tough cookie."

Joan did not drop Vera on concrete as a baby, she was just trying to make the point that she's been banged up a couple times and she always comes through it. Still a very attention-seeking post.

Is it just me or has Vera had way more bruises on her head than most toddlers? I don't have kids of my own but I've been in child care in one form or another(babysitter, church nursery, daycare, ect.) since I was 12 and I have 2 nephews who got their gracefulness from their mother and myself and fall all the time. I can't ever remember seeing a child whose head has been bruised as many times as hers. I just can't help but wonder why. It just doesn't seem normal to me.

It's probably because Joan couldn't put her down so she was super behind in crawling and walking. I'm assuming she's still unstable even with doing physio. And I can see Joan going to try and pick her up or catch her if she falls, then causing Vera to trip. And baby/toddler heads are usually the first to hit the ground.

When she posts video of Vera walking, I always have to catch my breath, I'm waiting for her to fall she looks so unstable. It's no wonder she's bumping her head.

Went back to see if there was followup. So here’s the thing. Just because you have one high risk pregnancy, does not automatically mean every subsequent pregnancy will be high risk! That’s not how this works.
She hasn’t even had the transfer and she’s already so focused on milking it!

Vera was a perfectly NORMAL pregnancy.
Joan got puffy at the end - yep happens.

Joan thrives on chaos so when life isn’t she has to create it in order to continue to thrive.
Until she gets clear help that will not change and her child will be effected.

John is now participating in this by not stopping it. And saying she can’t hold her child is also abusive.

I’m actually truly disturbed

Typically I don't but into the "everyone reads YTMD" theory, but it appears that Joan does.

I was talking to someone about Joan and searched for her old LiveJournal posts and the account has been purged. That account was from her late 20's and hadn't been used in a few years when I discovered it in 2017... She definitely wanted to scrub her image.

John definitely does read here. Or did, anyway. He's basically quoted posts in his rants about "haters".

Thought drinking water would make her grow and didn’t go to the hospital when she knew something was wrong.

I think she’ll still hold Vera, just not in a carrier since that’s for prolonged periods of time. She’s not going to neglect Vera’s basic needs. As much harm as she could do to Vera if she keeps putting Maeve before her, nothing qualifies her as an abusive mother. That’s a really serious accusation.

You are right. Subsequent pregnancies after stillbirth, no matter when the baby was stillborn, are considered high risk. Whether it is your first, second, third, forth pregnancy after stillbirth. IF her doctors are counting Sweet Pea also, then she most definitely would be high risk even if it were just Sweet Pea without Maeve.. At least in Australia. Statistics show that if you have had a stillbirth once you have a very small chance it may happen again, those are stats of those with or without a cause of death. IF there was a disease, infection, birth defect, maternal accident (car accident, fallen down the stairs, fallen anywhere, physical abuse, alcohol or drug abuse, etc) that caused the stillbirth that is additional % that goes with the stats.I have forgotten what the reasons was for Maeve's death, but Joan would be high risk. In Australia that means more appointments, scans, tests- if the mother consents to them. In Australia, women pregnant over 35 are considered "geriatric pregnancies" and are high risk, I hate that term, because 35 is hardly geriatric. Also IVF pregnancies are considered high risk. I dont know how old Joan is, but she has quite a bit on her side to be considered High Risk. Sorry long post.

Sweet Pea was a fairly early miscarriage, though, right? So would she be considered high risk after Sweet Pea because of the IVF? I am clueless about that, excuse my ignorance.

I think more so bc of IVF. I work in the public hospital system, we rarely get IVF patients. All losses are considered. From my knowledge the IVF patients would be consulting their Fertility clinic and be getting blood work done from there as it was an assisted conception from the clinic not the public hospital. The clinic would have to send the patients medical files per patient request if they chose to go through the public system. The hospital I work at would consider Sweet Pea a previous loss. Each subsequent loss is a higher risk to the patient. The clinic would give us (per patient consent) details why the miscarriage happened. Patients don’t have to reveal their medical history, if they don’t want to. It helps prevent any unnecessary heartaches if there are ways to avoid it.

They'd been apart long enough that he was on OKCupid again and she set up a fake profile to test their compatibility which came back at like 30%. But then somehow they got back together and -poof- no record of any of that, none of the venting she did about him. All is perfect in the world of J&J (according to them).

Joan never had Maeve autopsied either. Her look (not just the fact she’s dead) makes me wonder if she had any chromosomal issues not just growth restrictions....


I was saying earlier she said she won’t be carrying vera. She didn’t even pick the dog up when she was pregnant with her...

Saying now 5 people have had babies almost die there ( FYI they are a VERY VERY popular place to seek prenatal care in Maine. ) and I have never heard a story like hers come out of there.....
And the string... always going on about how they measured her with a string... well Joan, it’s the same as a measuring tape...
it’s how they do it.

The midwife isn’t there any longer.... she encourages everyone to share the post so everyone will know how awful they are....


And now she spit the crazy homeopathic drink they gave her across the room bc it was full of alcohol?!!! Come on
