I think unless he's murdered someone, that everyone deserves a second chance. sounds like he went thru a bad boy phase in 2001-2002 and then cleaned up his act and hasnt gotten into any trouble for over a decade. he was a kid then and a man now. I think he should be forgiven bc there is no doubt he is a great dad and husband. lucy also should be forgiven bc she lied to protect her husband as anyone would do. I think there no reason to hold this against them. jmo sorry if you don't agree.

Joel may have a record, but he is a way better parent than Lucy. My parents were both alcoholics/ got arrested for drunk driving and other mischief before I was born. Does that make them bad parents? Nope... It actually made them better parents because they learned from their mistakes and steered me down the right direction. So yes, he may have a record, but I still dislike Lucy 1000x more than I dislike him.

I agree. Though I must admit, I was surprised to see any charges involving a weapon and/or vehicle theft/burglary. I do know that in Ohio, if the charges include the term 'burglary' and not 'theft', they are different charges because you can be charged with burglary without having to steal anything. Not sure if this is the case in Texas. I work in an attorney's office and we have a client right now who went into a home and did not steal or break anything, but since he entered the home with the intent to commit a crime, he is charged with burglary (he is accused of assaulting a minor while in the home, this was allegedly his sole purpose for entering) All I'm saying is charges are not always what they appear to be and if a case is dismissed, it is for good reason.
I do wonder what the story is behind any assault-type charges, as those kinds of cases typically involve te most drama.

While I rarely agree with Lucy anymore, I do have to agree that Joel did some stupid things when he was young (as did my husband! lol) but that doesn't affect who he is today and she always seemed to be pretty honest with me about it every time we spoke.
I dug up an old message from about 2 years ago regarding his arrests. And the Jen in reference was InformationMommy. I guess she's the one who brought all this up. I really don't remember.

"What Joel did when he was 16, 17 & 18...who cares? Besides he's never spent more than a night or two in jail b/c all charges were dropped. It doesn't affect his work what so ever, and as for all the other information that is on that link it's false. The 6 tickets in Hurst are traffic tickets (well 5). They system just hasn't been updated. I know it says May 30th or something like that on there but it takes up to 45 days for it to be updated to disappear in the system. 3 of those tickets were dropped when he showed proof of registration, insurance & tags. 2 of the tickets are the same, it showed up twice for some reason on there but it's not really 6 it was just 5. The other remaining 2 he had to pay for. Joel's not a thief, he did however make the mistake of going out w/ a group of guys after everyone had been drinking & one of the guys stole air compressor & all 5 boys in the car were charged for it. Everyone's was dismissed in the long run except the guy who actually stole it. Family Abuse-In the state of Texas, when family members are arguing & the police are called out BOTH parties go to jail regardless. It's Texas State Law, look it up. lol That's why people shouldn't gossip. Yes Joel has waited tables before, as well as I. I don't see anything wrong it? It's instant cash. As for Jen, well....what she has done only goes to show her true character. That's all I have to say. I've said point blank a million times we live in Ft. Worth. I haven't a clue where someone got Hurst, & Haslet from?!?! lol but we live in Ft. Worth. Our city address is Ft. Worth. again that's why people shouldn't gossip. What happened 10-12 years ago as for Joel, I'm not sure what the big issue is? I love him...obviously I am married to him. We have been together for 11 years....unlike everyone else who reads things w/ out knowing the entire story I know he his a good guy & a great father. People are entitled to make mistakes, and especially when they are 16-18 yrs old! My family is perfect, despite what I hear from messages like yours with what Jen is saying. I love me, I love who I am, I love where I come from as my past makes who I am today. My life may not be perfect to others b/c Joel ran into some trouble as a teenager, but to me it is perfect!"

And I'm not saying Joel is a bad person. I was simply trying to decipher his record since a quick glance makes it look like he has a long rap sheet when really, he's been arrested three times, at least in Gregg County, Texas.

On the blog she only addresses that arrest and the warrants. She didn't lie about either. If she chose not to discuss the other two that is her business. I don't know how that is a lie. Had someone asked me the question I think they would get a big it's none of your business. He was a teenager at the time they don't always make the best choices.

I think if someone really loves their husband they are going to protect them no matter what it takes. I think a person with good intentions will protect their significant other at all costs... but Lucy is right...her husband made mistakes as a teenager. that in no way means he isn't a good person. I will definitely defend Lucy on this one. I don't agree with everything she does and I'm nowhere near one of her so called minions but I understand why she's trying to make what Joel did over a decade ago to be not a big deal. we will never know what really happened. police records don't tell his side of the story. it is a shame his record can't be expunged so they can move on from all this.

I agree! He has grown into a good husband and father. I can't fault them for the mistakes he made back then and not wanting to discuss them.

So I'm new to this site and I'm sorry if this is a little off topic from what's currently being discussed but today on the radio they were talking about how Kim Kardashian didn't release her babies pictures because she didn't want the royal babies birth to overshine her babies pictures and now that the royal babies been born she'll release pictures.
