MamatoanAngel wrote:What a shitty video. Missy's fail at attempting to look oh so sad and sweet sickens me. She only did it FOR the video. Perhaps next time show some actual emotion Missy. You should have considered contacting the countless thousands of women all over Facebook/blogs/forums who have lost children or struggled with infertility and unexplained miscarriages etc. Instead,of course, the money hungry piglets choose mainly youtubers. This video is clearly an attempt at going viral. Can't you two do ANYTHING without trying to make it all about money?
But but....they gotta make it on Oprah with this one!

Like that one girl saying she had been trying to conceive for five years but didn't mention anything about a miscarriage, pregnancy or actual child but then says, "I'm a mother" it's creepy and delusional.
This is one of the most ignorant things I've ever read. Do you know how completely heart wrenching it is to struggle with infertility? Excuse my language, but F'in right you can be a mother at heart!

I believe struggling with infertility would be harder on me than miscarrying. I have had one miscarriage and one of my biggest fears was always that I couldn't get pregnant. Yes, I miscarried...but at least I know I CAN get pregnant. [I got a virus around 3-4 weeks pregnant so that's probably why I miscarried...] =/
Even if a woman had never been pregnant they can still be a mother at heart. Infertility is the most emotionally draining trials I have ever experienced. 2 years of trying month after months of negative tests and knowing there is nothing you can do is wait, but you let yourself hope as it comes time to test analyze every symptom day dream of that precious baby you long for so much. They may not have any physical proof of motherhood but in their hearts they are. There is nothing creepy about it.
The "I'm a mother" thing that was said over and over was sort of annoying to me. I think it could've been a fine video had it not have been constantly repeated.

100% agreed. I didn't make the original comment back to that person to come here to sound annoying and preachy, so I'm glad there are you ladies who agree with me. It has taken such a toll on my life. There's not only dealing with the heartbreak it gives, but having to deal with all the people who get pregnant at a pin drop who tell you to share a bottle of wine and to "just relax" because it worked for them. Lol.

Oh god I can't stand when people tell you to get drunk and it'll just happen... It doesn't work for everyone..

Courtney Hale from Go Team Hale, I watch them daily and love that family!
The video last year is the reason why I started to watch them. I thought it was cute, cheesy, but artistically beautiful. So I went backwards and watched a bunch of her videos and enjoyed them. Then I found the vlogs and Bryan and maaaaan I can not watch any of them anymore! I have never disliked youtubers as much as them lol
This years video was fine except for the repeat of them saying "I am a mother". It just sounds off to repeat it so much. It's like when you say the same word over and over again it starts to sound foreign. That's the video!
The only person I recognized was Rachel talbot and all she said was "hi I'm Rachel talbot, and I am a mother, I make videos on YouTube" and that was it! She goes off everyday on how awesome being a mom is and that's all that's in a video?
And worse, she didn't link any of them in the description! Rude!
I want to see more of the mom who said she cleaned up 4 times, and the one who shares a birthday with her daughter, and even the creepy one.... I need a good laugh lol
Did anybody else cringe when Missy was talking about the babies she lost and said something like "I don't like to remember it, but I always will?" I know what she meant, of course, but it seemed like such poor phrasing.

That lady didn't call herself a mother at heart. She called herself a mother. With no kids/pregnancy/anything. And I find it weird. So flip out again if you want to but it's not gonna change reality.

Um that's a pretty ignorant statement... so women who are unable to conceive and choose to adopt, they aren't mothers?
Oh FFS I forgot to mention adoption, that doesn't mean it doesn't count but OK go ahead and completely twist what I said. And no, if you don't have a child/pregnancy ... no, you're not a mother.
So you tell me to "flip out again", while telling someone else not to flip your words? Hypocritical, hence I didn't flip out, lol. Don't twist my words.
It doesn't matter if she said "at heart" or not. You're "weird" and "delusional" if you think that it's reality. And clearly, many women here agree with me. Thanks for your contribution to making infertility taboo!

Marie BitsandClips has a youtube channel she is the mom that cleaned up the same mess 4 times hehe and ShayleeDaily also has a channel on youtube

Yup Ash is supposed to be pregnant ! Why announce in Missy's video to try to gain fame ! I only caught Raising the Barrs ( love em! ) Keyona from KeyonaBBaby, Mickey mickisamom I kept getting distracted by all the frame changes. I think it was rude of them to not include more of the moms videos that aren't apart of YouTube .
Out of the thousand entrants they only made a 6 minute video??? If they made it less about Missy and more about others it may have been better and should have been longer. Instead it's nothing but an insincere ploy for more views in hopes of going viral. They seriously disgust me.
I sort of understand the person who said it's strange to call yourself a mother when you don't have any children and aren't and have never been pregnant. I don't agree with they way they worded it, that was pretty harsh. And women can definitely be mothers at heart and mother figures to children in their lives... But motherhood is hard work and it seems a little unfair for someone who isn't doing it to claim it. I've never struggled with infertility and I can't imagine the heartbreak. I would never tell those women they aren't mothers. But if I didn't have children I don't think I'd call myself a mother either.
It reminds me of when teenagers on Facebook change their status to married when they're in a relationship. Some even change their last name and refer to their boyfriend as "hubby." I'm actually married and I don't take it lightly. Marriage is hard work so it's annoying when these teenagers pretend like it's just a matter of saying it on Facebook.
I hope not to offend anyone. I know mother's day is a very hard day for some and I think it's great that missy includes everyone in her mother's day videos.
Oh and you can tell this video was not because they care about anyone. It was for themselves. Hence using other Youtubers. They want to make sure this video spreads so they can hit big. Last years video was way better.
So, all the videos were from Youtubers pretty much?
What another scam they pulled. I am sure more people sent in videos. They told people who sent in pictures to write what being a mother means to them. They should have shown peoples videos and then some scenes with peoples pictures with what they wrote next to it instead of just the little square of pictures at the end.
But all they did was choose youtubers for their videos.
pointless video. Last year was definitely better, when they didn't show all youtubers in it. actual people that aren't on youtube were in that one.
I am so disappointed. Their little preview they gave looked like it was going to be a good one.
