....why does she care what "they" think?

Maybe when she's celebrating her new car, or passing her license test, or getting her diploma people will be deservedly proud of her. But praising someone just for getting their shit together is kind of like.... participation trophies.

I think if she had waited until she actually achieved something she'd have got the praise she seeks, but couldn't hold out that long.... and honestly she can't change her past and maybe she's trying... but being anti-vax completely erases any credit I want to give her.

Raine had another febrile seizure. She called 911 and he was in the hospital. He was in his seizure like state for about 40 mins, compared to 12 mins the last time.
Maybe if she vaccinated him he wouldn't get sick so often and these wouldn't happen.

True, but febrile seizures aren't caused by a high fever in itself. They're caused by who quick a fever rises or drops.

I asked a friend of mine with a fair amount of experience with seizures and she said Ally saying a "40 min seizure state" probably didn't mean a seizure which lasted 40 minutes. He either had several small seizures within that time frame (scary but not necessarily any more dangerous than one and doesn't count as a 40 min seizure) or, more likely, she was including his recovery time. That's when a person isn't still actively seizing but remains unresponsive/floppy/breathes oddly/disoriented etc. It can last a few minutes, hours or even days but isn't a seizure (40 min is actually on the very low side according to her). So yeah. Shitty he's having issues but it's mostly just Allyshia attention whoring again.

I'm epileptic and a 40 minute seizure wouldn't happen. After 5-10 minutes, there is usually brain damage and/or death. Seizures are caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain so I don't see a seizure every lasting 40 minutes. Seizures are scary for the person going through them as well as people who witness it (my oldest son also has grand mal seizures which are what I have), but I think she's extremely overdramatic. Looking for attention.

If he was vaccinated he wouldn't be sick all the time. My daughter is 5 months and hasn't been sick once. She's an idiot. Don't want him sick, or to have seizures? Vax him. Poor baby [LOUDLY CRYING FACE]
