A different family vlogger I watch made a video today saying she can no longer put her kids in videos soon or she'll be totally demonitized. I thought the new rules were for videos targeting kids, but she's just the average mommy vlogger...not like that Ryan kid and his toy unboxing empire or those creepy adults making videos just for kids (like Carl and Jinger).

So, does anyone know if ALL family vloggers are going to be demonitized if they show their kids in any video?? Wow, Kelsey and Corbin are going to lose EVERYTHING if that's the case. They rely on June and the future Tator-Tot for views!!! I guess they could rely on sponsored videos, but losing all their AdSense income would probably mean the death of their channel.

The new rules are very confusing.

Their channel died before they even started, they just haven’t accepted the fact yet. They can never say because YT changed their policies our channel failed. Their channel failed because of them.

Boy oh boy are they fucked. They can't be this stupid. Remove your exploitation of your toddler and your soon to be child and you won't have any issues.

Kelsey has to have something off with her. Watching today's video she just stares at Corbin as he speaks and waits like a dog to make a move till he is finished.

Corbin doesn’t think they feed June lines?? Quite a few digs there at the Bumps. Sure Corbin your doing it for the memories...how can that be when you don’t show it?

They’re in denial that their channel is dying. Maybe what we’re seeing with her is that she realizes it, but Corbin insists that they continue. What happened to her business? What exercise journey are they on? Urban homesteading????

He’s trying to get people to engage with them on IG, but that’s where they’re doing all these ads. Who’s going to follow that after awhile? They may think they’re demographic is 20-45, but reading a lot of comments, they’re from young girls. Are they going to try and not have June and savor Tabor in the vlogs anymore?

I think they misunderstood the issue. It’s not that it’s “kid content” as in content made for children. It’s the fact that you are exploiting your toddler for views without her consent.

I always thought that what you described above is what it would come down to, and eventually the laws would change to better protect YouTube children from their stage parents. But of course it's tricky when you're talking about legally protecting children from their own parents. But it's interesting that it came down to COPPA and collecting information on minors for advertising. Still about children's privacy, but the children in the audience as opposed to the child actors being exploited. I guess if that's the way the FTC had to go about it, it's for the best. Making Google pay and go back to their "content creators" to demonitize content aimed at children is the best outcome in the end for these kids who are fed lines and made to perform, even if it's in a round about way. I guess nothing was going to change until YouTube/Google felt it in their wallet.

Kelsey and Corbin must be lying when they say their audience (or what's left of it) is adults age 20-40. At least this gives them a convenient excuse to point to when they're too proud to admit their channel sucks and that's why no one is watching. I don't know that they're making content aimed at anyone, because everything they do is so half-assed, but they certainly aren't appealing to an adult audience when they can't articulate or explain basic things. They don't share useful content because they're useless. Think of all the mommy channels out there that actually talk about pregnancy and child birth and raising kids without actually featuring their children in their content. All Kelsey and Corbin do is piece together a few boring clips that heavily feature their toddler.

They’ve got to be kidding! They’re trying to do anything they can to not have to work. Stomping their feet “we’re not kid content, we aren’t “. Changing their channel name.

They’re so boring as it is now. How are they going to continue? Homesteading, lifestyle and fitness vlogs! They say that the viewers won’t notice a change...so that’s to say it’ll be the same old, boring stuff they’ve been putting out.

Are they trying to not show June anymore? Why didn’t he show them outside looking at the pumpkins? Perfect missed opportunity. I bet they don’t show any of the canning. They’re putting her all over IG.

She has said that she fully plans to request the epidural again and doesn't plan to try to do it without the epidural. I gave birth recently and personally I can't imagine forgoing the epidural. It was awesome and the things I was worried about as a result of the epidural never came to fruition. And I had a very easy time getting to 10 centimeters. I actually wasn't convinced I was in labor when I called my doctor and went in to get checked out, the contractions were just somewhat more uncomfortable than menstrual cramps that came at regular intervals. Lo and behold my doctor checked me and I was already a 6. I had been at work all day during the contractions. Thank goodness I went in and didn't become one of those women who accidentally gives birth at home. :D Got the epidural and I was a 10 within about four hours and they broke my water. If I remember correctly, Kelsey wasn't progressing and stalled for a long time at around a four. She'll probably have an easier delivery with her second, But yeah, as someone who got fairly far along without thinking it was for sure active labor, I can't imagine doing the pushing, the actual delivery, and the stitching up afterwards without that epidural. I could still feel pressure, it just wasn't super painful. I will never understand Kesley's holier than thou fixation on doing it without pain medication and subsequently feeling like a failure.

I don't really understand why they are changing the channel name. They should be called "The Boring Channel"! No one cares about their "life" aside from the kids. They don't travel anymore. They don't seem to have any talents or interests. They don't cook. Exercise?...LOL! They don't seem to have any hobbies. From what I can tell, Kelsey basically sleeps all day.

The only thing of interest on their channel is June and the Tator-Tot.

They are so screwed if they can't film with the kids.

Can you even imagine if it's Corbin's "workout" routine three days a week?????!!!!!! :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o He's gross.

Not to derail the thread too much with "Well, when _I_ gave birth..." stories, this is actually kinda funny, but scroll past if you want to: I was an ICU nurse, and so were most of my friends. ALL of us stalled until we got the epidural, and then dilated super-fast once it started working. I went from 3-10 in 2 hours, with both of my kids. I had to push with no feeling, counting on the doc/midwife to tell me when, because I was still numb when I was pushing. I have mad respect for anyone who can deliver naturally. But my friends and I could NOT relax enough to let the process happen. My doc said it's because ICU nurses are control freaks, lol.
I totally don't blame Kelsey for wanting it.

That's so interesting, I still felt the contractions and would tell the doctor when I felt one building and it was time to push. It wasn't painful, just building pressure. I didn't have a textbook perfect delivery, there was a lot of stress to get the baby out quickly towards the end when my temperature spiked and the baby's heart rate dropped after an hour of pushing, had to use the vacuum on the final push, etc. But I didn't go in with a bunch of expectations because I knew that so much of it is out of your control.

I re-watched her birth story out of curiosity, she claims to have labored for a day and a night at home before going to the hospital, and she was only at "almost a four." Seven hours in the hospital and she was a four and a half. Got the epidural and still needed oxytocin afterwards because the contractions almost completely stopped. Sounds like her contractions just weren't doing anything. What struck me as particularly odd was that Kelsey said she wouldn't have had the courage to ask her care providers for the epidural if Corbin hadn't suggested it first. How sad. Hopefully her second delivery is easier.

It's funny to me that they changed their name to Wander Family to cash in on the family vlogger audience, and now they're changing it to "Kelsey and Corbin" in order to run away from the new stigma of "family" channels. Kelsey is ridiculous doing Instagram ads. So over the top and disingenuous. They are holding on for dear life and refuse to face the reality that they're not that popular, aren't business savvy, and the landscape is changing so that every bozo with a camera who pops out a kid can't exploit that child's existence for ad dollars.

Yeah Corbin and Kelsey everyone is just going to watch the two of you. Sure the Nitwit and her groom the Douche Canoe. People only watch your channel now for June and the future Chosen Child not for the two of you.

See for me it was different. Got to the hospital at 5 cm for both kids. Had an epidural and stalled both times. Had to have pitocin both times.

They claim they're key demographics is 20-50 yr old. Then why twice could they not get enough people for their trips? Because their main audience is not older people but children. They're so delusional. Corbin refuses to accept he is a mediocre at best man married to a mediocre unintelligent doormat. Their child is not special, nor gifted not the most beautiful. This one coming will also be mediocre. They have no talent, no passion. Their only goal in life is to not work. They can't even complete that goal. Where is Kelsey's "jewelry" business. Where is Corbin's business. They fail, at everything.

Maybe they should have a channel Kelsey & Corbin: How to fail and give up.
