She gives the impression she's a great wife, mother & homemaker but if you add in all the times she's forgotten to pick up her kids or not gone to their games, or admitted to treating Kevin like shit, lost Eve up a 10t drop in Costco, not gone to chads games, not feeding her kids properly, not making their home fun in the decor or the day, all they seem to do is practice music and do chores, boring age inappropriate rooms!!! Honestly the list could go on... She sounds like a very slummy to me, the ones that always feel the need to preach their faith and pretend to have it all together generally are fake as fuck and completely opposite !!! She would get one with the duggars stupid woman...no tv in the house because of money but then eat take out 3 days in a row, pull the other one lady it's all about control and so your kids can't see what goes on in the real world also more time for chores

I hate her. Poor Kevin. Poor kids.

I didn't watch can you give us a summary?

She asked Shari if she was going to do the egg hunt and Shari said she was going to help Eve. Then Ruby proceeded to sneakily film Aunt Linda and say "oh maybe you can help Aunt Linda too" and they both giggled. So unnecessary and plain rude (Yes I do have family members with special needs so I might be bias but whatever! Be a nice person, it's not that hard)

I really don't think she was trying to be mean when she said that. In E and Js vlog, they showed aunt Linda struggling to bend over to pick up eggs and needing help down the steps from Joel. I'm sure they know she has some physical limitations (maybe just due to old age) and it just seemed like Ruby was reminding Shari that Aunt Linda would also appreciate some help. I could find a million things to fault this woman on but I really don't think what she said was mean or rude or that she was purposely trying to make fun of aunt Linda.

I find the food room pretty bizarre, probably just because I don't know a single person that does this. I think it's nice to have a backup in case things get rough but it seems like this is the church's way of covering it's ass after telling all these families to reproduce unchecked despite their income. Less charity they have to do if all the families have a huge stock like that. And it seems pretty excessive. 100s of pounds of rice?! And orange juice mix in case they had to use stale water? It's literally like she's preparing for the world to end. There meals also seem to lack a lot in fruits and vegetables, I really can't imagine they are that poor, I think Ruby is just cheap. Also she said in the comments that she gets some of this stuff at the LDS cannery. Anyone know more about why that is? Like is it a store just for food stocking or more like a food pantry? I want to see Jennifer's food storage if she has one. I bet that'd be a sight.

It's a food pantry where the LDS give free food and clothes to those in need. They even make their own bread and milk.

The beginning of the vlog was so awkward to watch and I really don't think it was appropriate. It's not your business to air that to the world and I really don't think that a child should have a camera shoved in their face while they're trying to process such heavy information. Also, you could tell Chad didn't want to be filmed while they were lying on the bed, get the camera out of his face!

And if any kid deserves a smart phone it's Shari. I cannot believe that ruby forgot to pick her up from piano lessons and she had no way of calling her mother to pick her up and she had to walk home from school in the rain?! Poor Shari, it's like the older she gets the more she's just pushed to the side to raise herself. She is still only 13 and she still needs guidance as she grows up.

I seconds that notion. I felt it was rude and disrespectful to the family for bringing it up for the world to hear. I think it's a ploy to have some attention on her channel. Chad looked so sad today and a camera being shoved in his face didn't help much. Shari for sure deserves a phone, she is the oldest and has to put up with the crap of her younger siblings. This family seems strange to me. No TV, must have to play piano or some musical instrument, read the Bible constantly. Plus, I would never home school my children that would only have them have a sheltered life and be depressed and lonely all the time. They don't seem to have any fun in that house, it's all work, work, work.

Something that bothers me about her videos is that she seems to put an act up for the camera. For example, in today's video, she had Abby film her acting down and upset. I do not think Abby took out the camera on her own to film her mother upset. It's more likely that Ruby told Abby to film her.

Yes, seems like it was staged. And often it is scripted or she begins the vlog with a skit. But I don't often think she is trying to act like it isn't scripted or staged, she is usually trying to be clever or she sets a scene to tell a story. Very much unlike her brother-in-law Jared who tries to pass off his staged and scripted crap as spontaneous banter and genuine moments.

Feel as you will about Ruby, the home is a bit toxic due to control issuess. But, "poor Kevin!"? He is choosing this lifestyle for himself and his children. He's been out in the world and knows there are other less restrictive ways to live. He is a grown man. He has a responsibility to his children and he is shirking that responsibility while remaining silent in the face of deprivation. At least that is the way I see it.

I especially don't know why she had to mention the divorce like it was necessary viewers and Abby had to to know as if that's what led to suicide (that seemed like the correlation Ruby was implicating to me). Why is this strangers recent divorce mentioned along with his suicide to a 8/9 year old in a video anybody could see he could have had something horrible happen to him nobody knew or suffered from mental illness and nobody knew it isn't Ruby's business to share his death without expression from his family. She could have said Chad was upset because someone he knew well had died and not shoved the camera in his face but she is obviously a crass, unempathetic person.
