Today's "vlog" shouldn't even be considered a vlog. If they're going to continue to make videos like this targeted toward kids who watch those types of toy videos, why wouldn't Cullen make his own channel and put that material there? He does seem to enjoy it, which I don't think he should be faulted for, to each their own, but a family vlogging channel is just not the right place for it. Annoying.

I agree, there are channels which are dedicated to what today's video is. I would go watch them if I wanted to just see a video on destroying toys. I think Cullen would benefit from his own channel, he could do whatever 'fun' stuff he likes and he would also be able to do his tech videos which he spoke of before

Cullen is trying to grow their channel. Kids are the way to go. He knows the demographics of their audience. They will pander to kids. They've been doing it for a while. It just becomes more blatant. I don't think a new channel would help. Cullen had his own channel. No one watched it. I think the next thing we might see from them is a toy channel for Gaines. Why not jump on the bandwagon? Gaines is good at saying her lines too.

Same. It sounds like Cullen is trying to make his own "Geekify Guys" videos... I'm not sure why because Jared learned there is zero interest in it.

If anyone cares to sum it up for those of us that don't want to enable his childishness, that would be great.

The first 3 minutes of the "vlog" there are a few brief, but cute shots of Gaines. Cullen shows a bunch of storage containers ("mainly clothes") that he says "are headed to storage." Looks like they are beginning to declutter.

They enter Kelly and Jay's and immediately get into the "1000 DEGREE KNIFE!!!" shit. *queue eye rolls*

Cullen and Jay promptly change into Ninja Turtle costumes to prepare, while Nelly's "Hot in Herre" plays. (Oh yeah, totally for the kids.)

For the next full two minutes, what proceeds is.....a whole lot of nothing. Clips of Kelly and Jay heating the knives and teaser clips of them about to cut into various object.

OH BUT WAIT! Now it's about to get good! (Not)

Cullen grabs Bennett's basketball from his hands as he's bouncing it (as a planned joke..I think?) and proceeds to cut into it (which barely even works). Next up is a bag of hot cheetos (because it's punny, of course), then an Anchorman VHS, then a bunch of matches that are bundled together (not quite sure where they were going with that one???) which then catch fire and are promptly put out by a fire extinguisher (thrilling). A bottle of doctor pepper is followed by the troll doll toy (both very uneventful). The scene concludes with showing the remnants of the halfway sawed through materials, and is followed by a short yet random clip of the kids on the trampoline with orbeez (ok??).

The "vlog" concludes with Cullen attempting to use the hot knife to saw through an Auburn Nerf football as a joke to Jay (but again, fails and only goes halfway through).

THE END! Just saved you all 12:41 that you can now spend doing anything other than attempting to destroy things with "1000 degree" knives! Don't forget to "like" and subscribe!

Nope, these two are so wonderful that they would never ever stoop as low as other vloggers and try to cater to the kid audience. Not at all! How dare I even think that lol

The orbeez was from.....wait for it....Jay using the hot knife and cutting open a balloon full of them....cause they hadn't wasted enough money and brain cells.
The hot knife is cool if you do it right but they didn't and if I wanted to watch it being done, I could have watched the hundreds of videos on YouTube of other people doing it....

I think it might have been the neighborhood that Jay and Kelly live in, i know before they moved in and were looking Cullen went and vlogged/drone shots in the neighborhood and there was new construction going on then.

I wondered that too, but Cullen is very very artsy with how he shoots his drone footage. Why in the hell would he settle overtop of a new construction build and hover there for so long, and add it to his footage? It wasn't aesthetically pleasing or even nice footage to look at. I just thought it was odd.

Cullen received 156 dislikes which was higher than their average. I think he would have to develop a new channel to continue this type of vlogging or risk losing part of his audience.

I guess i'm in the minority when i say i didn't HATE the vlog... I have just this weekend come across the hot knife videos (my daughter and i were sick all weekend and she showed them too me and we fell down a rabbit hole lol) and im oddly interested in them,, THAT BEING SAID.... I don't think the execution was good, they needed that knife to be much hotter, but i did like the editing, I thought it was fun for what they were doing. I also don't think this was a "vlog" and i did miss the regular vlogs we normally get. I think he's trying to drum up views and that one was kinda pandering to the kids, which i don't really enjoy from them, but it is business so i get it. If Cullen wants to do videos like this he should do another channel, and i think he would be successful at it if he did it right, the man is hella creative and an excellent editor. All in all i don't mind videos like this every once in a while, let the man have his fun, even if you think it's childish and immature, so what?!!! Just as long as it doesn't become the norm i'm ok with it from time to time. It's just Cullen!! (was anyone else disappointed they didn't do the bucket of popcorn though? I would have likes to see if that worked. lol)

I agree, I think in hindsight my previous comment was too harsh, it was just a bit of a shock with it being such a different video and the fact that its something no one I know would do made me lash out a little at him lol. But like I said before and how you said, I agree that Cullen would benefit from his own channel, he could do a mixture of his tech stuff, fun stuff and even delve into short videos where he could show off his creativity.

So I read a lot of people saying they can't believe Katie let's Cullen do what he wants...well the other day I stumbled across one of their old videos. It was from four years ago when they had just gotten the house they have now. While Cullen hasn't changed all that much, I was surprised by Katie. She encouraged him to do silly stuff in walmart. There's a part where he lays on a skateboard and she pushes him while laughing, and another where she films him get into a cage of balls. It was nice to see what they were like before kids, but also eye opening to know there was once a different side to Katie. I can't be too mad when they film videos like this, but I agree it should go on a different channel.

Well, I wouldn't go out in public with a man who climbed on top of shopping carts, etc. and acted like an unruly teenager at the store. And I certainly wouldn't want my child's swing tied to a drone while he's in it for a vlog stunt. But obviously she married him and knew what he was like, so that had to appeal to her. It probably wouldn't be a successful marriage if she was actively trying to change him.
