So.. i work with children Emma’s age, and i have never in my life seen a child show so little emotion. The developmental differences between her and the children in my class is mind blowing to me. I know that all children develop differently, but she’s kind of concerning.

Why is it even necessary for Kaylee to watch Emma while they put together her new room. It could have been a fun bonding experience for Emma and Trash. But nope, seems like Trashy is betting on a excited reaction from Emma for the vlog. I would think it would be better to include your daughter in on the process to help make the transition from crib to BiG GiRl bed smother. Explain what your doing with the crib, where is it going. So that she could actually understand what’s going on. Not that she understands much anyway. Emma is getting much better with her speech but still says YEAH for every answer when Rachelle asks her a question. Plus Trash only seem to ask questions with a yes answer. Still she shows very little emotions for a child her age. I feel like I never see her smile in pics on Trashys Instagram or even in vlogs.

EDIT: Okay so I checked and she’s smiling in almost every picture. Thanks to candies and chocolates Rachelle says she gives her while taking pictures to make her smile.

My Guess is that Emma will burst into tears and have a tantrum because her safe space crib is no longer in her room. Kids that young can’t process a big change like that. She should know better.

I think so, too. She’s not 4 or 5, they could have done this more gradually. I don’t think her crib was convertible, so maybe that wasn’t an option. We took the front panel off my son’s crib and he slept in there for two weeks, then introduced the twin bed. I changed his curtains and bedding a few days after that. He had a few wake ups in the beginning m, but has slept in his bed every night (he’s also a year older than Emma).

Rash may be able to talk up Ariel or whichever characters for an immediate reaction shot, but nighttime is going to be the real test.

Yes but we know Rachelle won’t show her really first reaction, she’ll fake it, just like the first time Emma met the twins. It wasn’t the actual first time. Honestly her viewers won’t really care, but when Emma watches these videos when she’s older or even Rachelle, rash will just need to tell Emma how much she lied

We actually moved my son to a twin bed at a year.. but only because we live in a camper and had no other option, and he was outgrowing his pack & play. BUT we built a rail that slides down sort of like a crib, that way we can remove it once he’s old enough to get in and out on his own. He did amazingly well. BUT it still feels like a crib to him, I’m sure. They’re just ripping off a bandaid with Emma and i really don’t think it’s going to work out very well for them.

You said exactly what I was thinking Dani! Could be J-K’s sizing or it could be Trashy is (definitely) in denial about what size actually fits the boys now! Emma was SOO aDvAnCeD for her age back then so trashy is pushing the boys to be the same!

Their poor toes must be so cold. My daughter is 6 months and even in the hot hot summer her toes still get cold while the rest of her is warm! She has worn socks with her outfits almost everyday since she’s been born!

She actually did add some color, that hideous light up name sign thing. Like that’s not how you add color. Even her bland color decor doesn’t go. I know she said she’s not a designer, but there’s like 3 different sections going on that wall and they all clash together and the dresser across from the bed makes the room so uneven because it’s all pushed into that one corner. That bed just looks terrible pushed in the corner like that, they should’ve put it in the middle of the accent wall and done away with the dresser, it would’ve looked sooo much better.

Yeah I agree with taking out the dresser. She could have added some Montessori stations there for Emma instead. Like her own mini closet or a mirror to practice brushing her hair and other self care activities.

Should trash know all this from days “teaching” at a montessori preschool.
