Not everyone cries as soon as they're told someone has passed. Especially a CHILD. You guys need to calm down. Kaden is, what, 8? 9? Most likely doesn't have a full grasp on what death is. I recently experienced my first death and it didn't hit me until the day before the funeral. And I'm an adult. I cannot fault Kaden for not crying, just like I cannot fault the other kids for crying. People grieve differently.

The thing is, Miami clearly doesn't care/mind. Jess is extremely close with her entire family and if any of them had an issue I dont think she would film them. I personally wouldn't have filmed any of it but she also never showed Grammies face and we never heard conversations. I know it's the age old "she shouldn't film this" conversation but I dont see any evidence of anyone but viewers caring. She filmed it in the classiest way you can film something that should be private.
Her family also clearly has a history of filming everything and they are lucky to be left with probably hundreds of hours of their lives on film. I k ow it is different to share that footage online but everyone has to know if Jess is involved it will be filmed.
I am living for Mimi being autocorrected to Miami.

I agree everyone grieves differently and I don't fault him for not crying. But I think given other ways Kaden has acted (just look at the difference between him and Kyson when she got the implants taken out) it is odd how Kaden acts. Kyson is the sensitive one though and she acts like that is bad but she didn't seem to mind showing how upset he was because it fit her video.

Did anyone else notice that we really didn't see a clip of Kaden? Obviously Addie is a bit to young to really grasp what's happening. But we saw Kyson, Lilia and Landon all getting emotional, we didn't see Kaden. I wonder why

Because Kaden probably didn't even care. He has some high functioning autism going on for sure. He lacks emphty
Yikes. What an inaccurate and offensive depiction of autism. Whether or not Kaden is autistic, your depiction on why you think he has it is horrific. One, functioning labels don’t exist and are harmful to be used and two, people with autism have empathy. Please for the love of god before you diagnose children on the internet do some research. This is disgusting and harmful.

Even though I wouldn’t have included some parts in the video, the tribute was beautiful. I just lost my grandpa to cancer in December right before Christmas and I wish I would have had the videos to make a tribute like that. I was critical of the thanksgiving trip but now I understand. I wish I could have spent more time with my grandpa in 2020 but I didn’t and couldn’t and it hurts. covid sucks. cancer sucks.

What i don’t understand is why was it a flying visit?

None of them have commitments that they needed to get back for. Take a couple of weeks, a month even, rent a house of your own so your not exhausting grammie by being there 24/7. Have chris putting the kids to bed and you spend quality (quiet) time with her.

They were only there a couple of days.

I’m not a fan of Kaden but I don’t think it’s fair to judge him on not showing emotion about this. When I was six I lost someone close to me. I knew exactly what was going on and got yelled at because I wasn’t crying. Everyone thought I didn’t care. It didn’t hit me til later on. So he may be going through a type of shock right now and it will hit him later on.

What were their reactions to her getting the implants taken out?

THANK YOU! I'm an autistic adult and that was just hurtful and not needed at all. Diagnosing kids with something you seem to know barely anything about is unnecessary.

Reading through this thread and thinking about how weird it is that we even know how her kids reacted to the news. I lost my grandpa a few years ago and I’m not sure how almost any of my cousins reacted. And they’re my family. At the end of the day, no matter how awful any of Jess’s kids seem, I feel pity for all of them for having their entire lives broadcast online. I will be surprised if they don’t have some serious issues going on when they’re older due to the constant vlogging. There’s a reason so many celebrities keep their kids hidden.

That being said I do admit family vlogs are my guilty pleasure. If anyone wants to check out one that feels a bit less guilty, check out Jennica and Annica. Her daughter is 14 and wasn’t vlogged from birth so it feels less exploitative. They are also hilarious.

I liked most of the tribute. The shots of everyone crying and especially Mimi was way too much. I'll admit though it got me, I am so sorry for that family that they lost a clearly very loved member.

As for Kaden, I wonder if he didnt want to cry on demand for cameras for his mommy's channel. I hope he grieved in his own way as they all should have done with the cameras OFF.

Honestly, the tribute part of the video was very touching. Grammie was a big part of Jess and her kids' lives, and it was nice to see all those memories over the years. The only parts that were truly objectionable were the camera setup in the hospital room (imagine Jess trying to set that up before going in to grieve!) and the part at the end with the kids crying. I've lost several grandparents to cancer, and just recently lost a grandparent in December (although not to cancer that time) so I definitely feel the pain of that loss.

I think all the speculation on Kaden's reaction is really weird and honestly a little gross. Grammie has been sick for quite some time now, and it is likely that the kids knew and understood this.
I lost my grandfather in august, and he had been sick with cancer for almost a year. I knew that (sadly) his death was inevitable. I spent months processing it and preparing for it. The only time I actually cried was at the funeral because I was more upset over my grandmother being upset.

But why didnt Jess show much of Kaden? Because it didn't fit what she wanted at that time. That's why people assume he wasn't upset/crying. You can also be distraught without crying. But she made sure to focus on the very kid she makes fun of for being sensitive.

Or here is a thought don't show your kids online, nobody speculates.

Addie is wearing a crop top in her stories. Didn't she go on and on in a video about how she only lets Lilia wear one for dance?

This get to know me thing she is doing on her Instagram stories, she put something about exclusively breastfeeding lilia but I'm sure she formula fed her at a few months old?
Either is fine but if she did switch to formula why not add, we breastfed for --- months and made the switch to formula.

I think she did. She also says she had 5 natural births but I thought someone said she had an epidural with Lilia. Again no big deal if she did but why lie? (I was not watching at the time so I don't know, someone that was might know).

Just caught up with everything. Grammy dying is a sad, sad event, hopefully she didn't feel too much pain.

I also couldn't shake the feeling of "wait, let me set up the camera first". But, alright, it was an ok amount, maybe she took some video just for her private sake, even though it's going to be a sad video, but kind of the last time she's able to see her. In that context the snippet may not be so exclusive.

It's the first time Jess has actually lost someone close to her, but knowing her she'll bounce back in no time, because she is the kind of person, that always needs a distraction, to glaze over any bad feelings she may have. I hope that doesn't come back to bite her, one day.

Natural birth just means vaginal rather than c-section. You're thinking of a non medicated birth.

Appalling to record some of the things she did and post it for money. People enjoying being morbidly nosey doesn't make it OK.

People with autism often experience 'hyper empathy' and very much care about others, autistics often suffer from feeling too much and caring more than you could imagine or feel yourself. You're confusing that with a difficulty reading facial expressions and intentions, which can be an intellectual process that is exhausting and distressing for those on the spectrum because they care and want to get it right. Not instantly crying is fine for anybody. The only problem is recording it in children, who by default cannot consent, and exposing it for money. There's no confusion between psychopathic behaviours like having no empathy and an obsession for money, with autism.
