Slightly off topic, but I cannot fathom just how stupid people have to be to defend this crap. Bryan, Missy, and co. doing this "test" in the first place is gross enough, but people in the comments defending their decision? SICKENING. Yeah, yeah, they're kids and don't know what they're saying, but it really reflects on THEIR parents parenting. Maybe my expectations were too high, but until today I assumed that even an eight year old would know a child should never be left in a pool unattended. This isn't "adult" knowledge like contractions and pre term labor, this is basic shit!

And if Bryan tries to lecture us and justify his shitty actions ... so help me.

Fun Fact:

I almost drowned in a pool when I was five because one of my water wings deflated and no one was by the pool (I don't remember why the adults weren't outside yet but I didn't want to wait for them). Luckily my brother heard me screaming from the kitchen and rushed out to save me.

By eight years old, I definitely knew not to leave kids unattended in water. Heck, by then I had parents giving me their small children to swim with that were Ollie's age in the water because I was that good of a swimmer and would keep their kids out of danger. Probably not the brightest decision on their part, but no kid drowned or even went underwater on my watch!

Just the stupidity of this whole thing annoys me. I probably wouldn't have panicked so much if Missy, Bryan, Papa, or Mimi were in the pool with him because they would be right there to grab him. But the fact no one was in there scared the ever-loving shit out of me and I have never wanted to jump through a video more in my life.

Idunno but he shouldn't even be allowed outside alone for a minute alone at 2 yrs old especially since they have a pool. Just because it's gated doesn't mean shit. Kids can spontaneously learn how to open a gate and boom. It makes me sad because you would think they wouldn't even TEST their child, because Missy said Oliver knows he can't swim. I don't know. This really just makes me hurt.

Definitely agree. If you're aware that a child is not the best or most proficient swimmer, why even "test" him? Why run a risk? It makes absolutely no sense. Like you have all said, anything could've happened. There is absolutely no need to purposely place your child at risk, no matter how small or how large that risk might be.

Floaties might give parents a false sense of security, but so do swim lessons and "tests"...I just don't understand what purpose it serves, if they never intend to leave him alone or let him swim in the pool with no adults in there with him. Then why test him?

Seeing his parents smiling at him while he's in the pool alone gives him the idea that they like it when he does that, and every time they allow it, the less careful he will be. He may have stayed along the edge this time, but a few more tests and he might try something dangerous. They may turn their back to look at their phone or grill some food, thinking he knows how to be safe, he passed the test after all, and he'll be gone.

Even if he doesn't go in the pool, if the area around it is wet a toddler could easily slip and fall in, even if he knows not to go in the pool. They need to be in arms reach any time he goes beyond the gate, no matter how good of a swimmer he is

Only people who are wrong go on the defensive to that extent. Good job, Bry. You're wrong. You are dead wrong with this test and all of your responses to people. Own up and admit you guys did a stupid as fuck thing.

They say floaties may give parents false security.. I just hope this "test" doesn't have the same effect on them as floaties do on other parents.

I seriously rolled my eyes when he replied that to me. Floaties are better than nothing. Check that there are no holes and that they aren't flat before you put them on your kid, but even then keep within arms reach of them. Ollie literally had no life vest or anything. One slip and that kid would have been dead.

Exactly. Swimming lessons, floaties, or other flotation devices on a toddler should not mean automatic safety to you. If you know your child might not be safe, why risk it? Watching this clip seriously made me nervous. He's only 2 and anything could've happened. They were on the other side of the fence! There was a possibility he might've needed help.. How can you be so sure that you would've gotten to him before anything serious happened?

I had a similar situation. I was on a big cheap inflatable tube, and it flipped. If my friend hadn't grabbed me I may not have been here

Ollie has rules when he's in the pool area? Doesn't he also have rules that include not hitting other children? Because he sure as hell doesn't follow that rule! I forgot all two year old kids follow every rule and never break them....

I literally take a break from these assholes for a day and come back to them recklessly endangering both their children. Ollie being allowed to swim alone and Missy having contractions 3 weeks early cause she can't bother to eat right and take a freaking walk around the block. How does Ollie "know" that he can't swim? He's 2. He doesn't think like that. He probably thinks he's a great swimmer cause they're always pushing for him to be independent and do things like jumping into hot tubs and pools.

That happened to me before in a public pool in the deep end. Fell off a floaty that was being pulled by my cousin and my dad had to run and jump in to save me.Terrifying. A child can drown in a blink of an eye.

I'm just blown away by their stupidity just wow. Todays Vlog was seriously a new low and I honestly couldn't believe my own eyes. Oliver is no way near safe in the water. Just because he can hold on to the side it doesn't mean shit. The amount of times I've seen kids just kick off the wall and not be able to reach the wall again is ridiculous, same thing could happen with him. He can't swim and I get that they wanna be proud parents but their kid just can't do it yet why can't they see that.

Honestly it was beyond dangerous for Oliver and I was just thinking what if the gate is stuck what if SOMETHING happens and they can't get to him fast enough. They put him in danger and I can't believe they would do that after him being their "miracle" baby. Just wow.

On top of that they were just laughing like it's a game. Like that ain't gonna teach him shit. Ughhhhh these people make me mad.

They didn't even yell at him to get out of the pool? Unless they did it "off camera" like they always do. From what we can see they literally did nothing to teach him NOT to go into the pool when no one is there.

Another one of my near death experience stories:

I was, like, Olli's age and I climbed into one of those giant tubberware storage boxes and put the lid on, someone ended up shutting it and my mom heard me screaming. After the initial relief that I was safe with no (noticeable) brain damage I got my first and only spanking. Needless to say I learned my lesson.

Moral of the story Missy and Bryan: Your kids won't know not to do something if you just laugh and film it all the damn time. You've got to teach them consequences (I don't support spanking but give the kid a timeout or something.)

Well... I guess I can say that I have now completely seen the light. I saw the light with Missy a long time ago and was unsure about Bryan. I still kind of liked him, but after today's vlog, nope.
He listens to Missy thinking she knows better when she doesn't, he thinks she knows everything which he doesn't and bows down to her, making him totally spineless and NOW he allowed his miracle child to be in danger. He could have died.
This is something CPS would highly frown upon. They have a lot of other things to worry about, but THIS vlog including some other vlog (sabotaging Ollie's seizure test) they'd better hope CPS doesn't see this video.
Now I hate BOTH Missy and Bryan. They are both fuckin stupid.
