About Bryan's diet, if he has a calorie deficit at the end of the day consistently, then he will lose weight. It's just that he's not eating the right foods to supply long lasting energy and keep him full, so if he is not strong willed, he might end up binging and wrecking the whole day.

I lost about 30 pounds in 3 months when I was 17 by just counting calories and little bit of exercise (I was too weak to do much) so I know it can be done. Not healthy, but doable.

That is true that it will help him lose weight, but it's not healthy nor sustainable. The problem with caloric deficient "diets" is that it puts your body into starvation mode so therefore your body stores what you do eat as fat to sustain the body until your next meal, it slows your metabolism right down therefore making weight loss a lot harder and it's not sustainable in the long term, as soon as he starts eating proper meals again (even if he does learn something and eat healthy foods) his body will struggle to lose weight, maybe even gain.
Also, there is massive different between WEIGHT loss and FAT loss and Bryan needs to loose FAT. So this calorie depriving so he can eat junk and still be in his calories for the day is not working because he's filling up on fat, sugar, crappy carbs etc and so while he may be losing a couple of pounds because he's eating fewer calories he's not losing body fat, or he's barely losing any.
There's a reason why they call weight loss a "lifestyle change" and not a "diet"

he looks fatter to me. he just has a beard and still is ugly as hell. i don't know how the hell these people think he's lost weight... are they blind?

Earlier in her pregnancy (before egos and money ) he was a gentlemen who treated Missy with respect and decency. It wasn't till people brought sexuality into questioning that he started acting like chauvinastic degrading dickhole to Missy. He must think burly, masculine men are like that when it comes down to the individual to treating their partners.
