THey did a Q &A recently that answered many questions as well as offered clues to their life. I grew up in Utah and have tons of family there still so I’m pretty familiar with the Utah culture. He definitely grew up Mormon (he went on a mission) but not sure about her. She doesn’t wear clothing that suggests she wears garments so I don’t know if they are active members or not. That’s what I’m most curious out TBH. Next, they have an Orem P.O. box which is the epicenter of Mormondom. He works for a security company and they are one income - they have a New looking house, expensive cars purses, vacations, and a face full of expensive injections - I’m really curious how they are affording all this!! Maybe deep in debt and now hoping youtube will save the day!! Provo and SLC is not necessarily a cheap place to live.

And to the person defending these guys - it’s a snark site!! The things we want to say but cant on public sites are spoken here!!
I was trying to figure out the same thing. Their lifestyle doesn’t really add up to me yet. Maybe there will be more clues in upcoming videos. Any idea what he does for the security people/smart home company?

Hi!

Is this really a thing? Haha! Darik & I are enjoying the entertainment so thank you!

We are an open book, if you’ve ever asked any question on our channel or instagrams you will get an honest and straight forward answer.

Were the triplets conceived naturally?
When people ask if we did IVF & we say no... that’s the truth. When you’re trying to respond to as many comments as you can as quickly as you can the last thing you want to do is stop and say “No... BUT” and explain the entire situation. If people have asked if they were conceived naturally or if we used fertility medication we have always answered openly. It was never in a vlog, we never edited it out (that’s not possible) AND if you really wanted to know you can find an entire post on my Instagram account from months ago AND it’s in my story highlights. Far from hidden. We also just did a Q&A and with this as our number one question you can definitely find it there as well. Yes, I took a pill. Like clomid. It’s called Letrozole. I took one round to get pregnant with Gemma & one round to get pregnant with the triplets. Like it’s been said, there’s way under a 1% chance of triplets. I do have twins like crazy on my side that genetically land on me and Drs think that could have played into it as well.

Money & Fame?
We never in a million years expected the Baby Mama dance to take off like it did and to grow this quickly. And no, we aren’t making money, at all, yet. It started out as something fun. But tell me this, if your husband’s career could turn into him staying at home with the family instead of traveling for work 6 months out of the year, especially now with having triplets, is that really such a bad thing?

My face... DYING.
I’ve worked at a medical spa, I know my stuff. If you haven’t noticed, I’m pregnant. You can’t get Botox/Fillers while pregnant. I’ve had it in the past. As well as my lips injected. (Never a nose job or anything permanent contrary to comments here) Botox lasts about 2.5/3 months on me. It’s 100% gone. I may have control and not move my face like a caveman but my face is 100% natural. Lips... they last 9-12 months. Depending on your metabolism. I haven’t had them done for over a year and a half. Those comments are just being said to be said. From people who are uneducated in the matter. (All of this I’ve talked about openly for years as well)

LDS
Yes, we are LDS. A lot of my dresses are sent and returned for collaborations and I choose to wear them in Photoshoots, not that religion is anyones business. I’m a convert and that is one thing I have NEVER understood about people in the church. How nosey & judgmental they are off of things like this, a random girl on social media, who doesn’t “look” like any Mormon they’ve ever seen. On a website with the intentions of this one, Instead of living as an example of the teachings of the church they are so concerned about in a complete strangers life. It’s never made sense to me. And if you aren’t LDS... Same question still stands... WHY does any of that matter to you? Haha so strange.

Overall we have had so much fun and received so much excitement and support on this new endeavor. It’s fun to share your joy with others & to connect with so many happy & inspiring people. Obviously that’s not what this website is for & if you don’t “like us” or want to watch us by all means please don’t. I just wanted to step in after being shown this forum multiple times and say if you have questions, feel free to ASK! This website doesn’t seem like the best place to find them but know that there ARE happy, genuine people out there who are living life the best way they know how to. Anyway, HAPPY SNARKING! <3

Ok, I have a question: do you speak so slowly and carefully in real life too? In the vlog the way you speak seems unnatural, as If you weighted every word and phrase.

Ok. But it's not going to last. And do you not worry at all about the effect of having their entire lives broadcast on the internet will have on your children? They can't consent. Once you're making the money, are you going to be putting a percentage aside for the ones who made it possible? So many vloggers are living an extravagant lifestyle with others taking care of the kids who made that lifestyle possible.
Don't you worry about the people watching who don't have good intentions? There are already kiddie porn sites featuring the Gardner quads. And they ignore it and simply continue to provide them with material.
The vast majority of us snark out of concern for the effect that this strange lifestyle has on the children. I'd be more concerned about the people who obsess over you and consider you "family", and blindly defend your every move, than some people expressing concern about this life.
It's so weird how things have changed. It used to be that we weren't supposed to upload pictures/video of our kids to public sites to protect them. Now people are reserving Instagram accounts for unborn children. And the perverts are loving it.

Oh, and if it's really not about money, please don't open a PO box and have mail day vlogs where you show off all the crap you got from people who obsess over you. You obviously have enough. Tell people to donate to a local women and children's shelter or children's hospital in your name. I know you don't care if I respect you, but I really would. Don't follow in the greedy footsteps of your friends the Binghams, who have more than enough stuff, yet encourage people to send them more.
And if you really are open books, don't delete constructive criticism on your vlogs, and discourage fans from attacking anyone who suggests you're not perfect. That's why most of us come here. It _was_ a safe place to discuss things that either get deleted or get us called names by fans if we try to bring it up in YouTube comments.

I'm sorry-- I just have one more question. If you "didn't expect" the video to take off like it did, why upload it? It seems disingenuous to say that. Maybe you didn't expect it to be a big viral hit, but you hoped so, didn't you?
At least in your post you admit to wanting the vlogging money. I respect that. So many vloggers say that they are vlogging "for the memories", or to share their "happy (scripted) family", but they don't have to monetize the vlogs for those things. I have plenty of videos of my kids when they were little. We watch them still. I have those memories without uploading a single thing to the internet, and exposing them to predators.
And to answer _your_ question about if my husband could have a job where he was home instead of traveling for work, my answer is no-- not if it meant pimping out our kids and sharing things that might be embarrassing to them when they understand. Look at what the Gardners did this past weekend. Their daughter was in respiratory distress, and they _filmed_ it. Other vloggers do the same-- their children get hurt, and before they comfort them, they film them. There's something very wrong with that.

Not all of us are “naturals” in front of the camera. Especially when we first started, it was really weird for me to talk to a camera lense and not an actual person. So if it seems unnatural... That’s probably because it is. I’m quiet, I have a soft voice & im humongous pregnant... Not really the life of the party. It doesn’t mean I’m “fake” or “off” because I’m not like other YouTubers who turn it on the second the camera hits them. Maybe not the best for entertainment but that’s me.

We are very new to YouTube, so if it is actually possible, we don’t know how to do it. I asked Darik and he said it wasn’t possible to go back and edit. Maybe it is but we are unaware of that. And clearly we have no problem talking about what’s being claimed was taken out. I think it was read in a comment and mistankingly someone thought it was said in a video.

Hmmm, is it 5 or 6 months out of the year he travels? The other day it was 5 months. When he travels is he gone the entire week and comes home weekends? Is he gone for the entire time? Is it a couple days a week one week and then 5 days the next?

Clearly you don’t agree with the lifestyle, which of course, you don’t have to! When starting We knew it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea and that is perfectly okay. Of course, we are careful with what we post of Gemma & would never want to post anything that could make her uncomfortable in the future. I understand automatically being lumped in with other Channels and YouTubers, we are new and you haven’t seen a lot of us. And I do think a lot of things are over exposed. We take this into consideration when filming and editing and have only used clips we are comfortable with. This lifestyle isn’t for everyone and it’s something we are going to have to agree to disagree on. Respectfully.
We have opened a PO Box. Our first requests were little girls wanting to send pictures to Gemma. I can make extra money off of brand deals on my Instagram. When you make a brand deal, part of that is “showing” what you received as advertisement for that company. I agree, it shouldnt be a free for all, Christmas morning, “look what everyone sent you!” For the kids. I’ve been using my home address which now is making me uncomfortable so I asked Darik about opening a PO Box. If people send items that we can’t/won’t use, they will be donated.
The only questions/comments we have ever deleted are if they are crude or Have swear words. We wouldn’t delete something simply questioning us. As long as it is done respectfully.
I’m saying we didn’t expect the video to go viral because we didn’t. We uploaded it because as a channel that’s what we do, provide content. We thought it was funny and thought others would enjoy it as well. It grew our channel tremendously which I am not complaining about but also can honestly say I didn’t “expect.”
I’m not here to try to convert or convince you that this is okay & you need to support us. I see and understand your concerns. Some of which I have myself and am learning to navigate through as carefully and tactfully as possible. To each family/mother/father their own. I understand this site is to pick apart people in this “industry” & that’s what you’re here for. I don’t need to change your opinion, I simply came on to answer the questions I had seen floating around.

Haha Wow! Such close attention to detail. It’s 5 months straight, usually, depending on the year. Then some travel during the off season, making it closer to 6 as a “whole” for the year, although I’m not sure how any of this is relevant. Aside from trying to “catch” me in a “lie.” It’s actually a little creepy. I’m happy to answer sincere questions, this just seems a little knit picky and irrelevant. But there you go.

That's fair. By opening a PO box, I didn't mean brand deals. I understand that that is part of the way you make money. I mean encouraging fans to send gifts. Other families have gotten gifts from people that they know have cancer and would likely be better off saving their money. There's one family with millions of subscribers who list their kids sizes in the "about us" section of the vlog. They make more in a month than most of the fans make in a year. That's what I'm talking about.
And so you know I know what it is like to have a husband gone, my ex was a Navy flier. One year he was gone over 200 days between workups and cruise. And it was before Skype. So I get wanting him home. I hope you continue to be careful with what you upload. It just seems that once the breadwinner quits his/her job, and the family is dependent on the income from vlogs, things change.
But I will reserve judgement. Or at least try to. I appreciate your willingness to actually answer questions. It's already more than a lot of vloggers do.

I said he is gone for 5 months straight. That is answering your question. No he does not take breaks/vacations or come home during his working months. In 8 years he has come home for two wedding weekends, that is it. Hopefully that can change this year. I really find it so strange how into these minuscule details you are. Seems rather insignificant & like a waste of time.

I’m new to this thread and their channel. I personally have a more challenging time getting through their content. The husband is a total showboat to me, the baby girl is very cute and sweet. The wife seems fine, but not really genuine. I believe they are probably trying to get a tv deal and not just do YouTube. I don’t think TLC would pick it up only because those shows are so overdone and usually it’s more than triplets. Maybe the oxygen channel, but who knows. I don’t think I’ll subcribe because they really aren’t my cup of tea and the dad working for Vivint what does he actually do? I have them for my home security and so far I’m happy with it. Lol.. but anyway best of luck to them. We’ll see what happens. Anyone know the names they picked for the babies? I haven’t looked over their channel for the names and the dog is super cute. I’ve had two Yorkies in the past. Great dogs!

I think the reason people here are so curious and are asking so many questions is because it is very rare to see a YouTuber actually come here and honestly and truthfully represent themselves as themselves. As a site moderator, I've seen so many youtube families come to this website and pretend to be "just a fan" and misrepresent the reason behind why they are posting. They tend to get very defensive and rude with people posting here so it gets frustrating for our site users because it gets pretty obvious that the person is the youtuber, even if they say they aren't, and they dont like being lied to. It makes them and their channel seem much more disingenuous.

So that's why i think its a little different in this case. Yes, this may be a "snark site", but it is also a website that was created for people to post about things they see on youtube that concern and frustrate them, that are being ignored or responded to with hate by the youtubers or their "fans" and then encouraged by the youtuber. One very big offender also lives in your general vicinity.

Its actually a bit refreshing to me (and I think other posters here) to see that you are willing to come here and answer questions that might seem small and insignificant or just plain weird with respect and kindness. Our questions may not make sense, but you dont use that as an excuse to demean anyone else and you answer them all. I respect you a lot for that.

I will admit that I didn't want to watch your channel in the beginning because I watch another multiple family from your area who puts knots in my stomach every time I watch them. Especially this last week when they admitted to leaving 3 of their children home alone in the middle of the night. They make constant choices to put their own wants above the safety and well being of their children and instead of admitting their mistakes, they lie to their audience and put the blame for them on other people. I'm sorry to admit that put a bad taste in my mouth for Utah mormon vloggers with multiples and I automatically assumed your family would do the same. So i apologize.

After your willingness to post here and be candid and polite with responses, I will take that judgement back and give you a chance that you seem to deserve. You do seem like a sweet couple and your daughter is adorable. I just ask that you always remember to keep your family the most important thing in your youtube journey. Please dont let the "fame and money" get to your heads. Obviously, you dont have to listen to me but I think it would make your family so much more successful. If you ever want a good example of how to successfully navigate youtube with multiples, might I suggest connecting with Skyler and Jamie Scott from Five Two Love? They have quints and two older boys, are morman and live in St. George, Utah. They are probably the best family I could suggest as a mentor for your growing family.

If you ever need help with navigating this site, feel free to reach out. I know the idea of this "snark site" could make you feel bad, but I promise you that the ladies who use this site really and truly are some of the most wonderful people on this planet. They really just want to see you be successful and would love nothing more than to write nothing but praise for your family here. If you need proof of that, I invite you to check out the board for Five Two Love. They have pages and pages or love and praise. Not one negative thing ever written. No one here really wants to be rude or negative.

Thanks for coming here and chatting with us Cara. And I really hope that both you and your husband will continue to come here and chat with us, we are really super nice, I promise. Even if we ask a lot of weird questions. LOL. Have a great day! :)
