Goose, your comment offended me as a cloth diaper user, but not as an American. I don't think you meant any harm and some people just have their panties in a bunch.

As for the 17 year old, I think it is very strange. I tend to skim through her comments because she rarely offers anything interesting or insightful. Not her fault, she hasn't lived much yet and she isn't a mother. I do think she will have a couple laughs at the judgements she passed when she has her own children.

Lets get back on track.
Ha ha, my mom knows about this site, I've told her some of what goes down. We're very close. At first she didn't get the site but now she has no issues with it...as for the moms, she thinks their babies are cute and doesn't care. But thanks to those that are concerned. Maybe one day when I have my own kids, I'll take back what I've said. I'm no expert, that's for sure, I just speak from my own experiences with my family and families I've come in contact with.

And now I agree we should get back on track.

Okay, I can see that. I apologise if my comments offended you. :D

I'm not American, I'm actually from Australia (like Goose) and I've been brought up with animals, we've always had at least one dog and cat and have had various other animals over time (including a snake). Our pets, particularly the dogs (because cats are anti-social and are primarily outdoors) are very spoiled; they get multiples treats a day, two meals, have beds and blankets and hot water bottles in winter, get new toys often, are walked twice a day, go to the dog park etc. that must make us awful people by the logic of some people on here. If we can afford it, why not?

I'm also not bothered by the cat scratch. You could be hit by a car just walking across the street, in the grand scheme of thing a cat scratch is is nothing. If your child falls over in a park and gets grazed knees, are you going to sue the council because it's their park? Doubt it. Kids get hurt all the time, I broke my arm when I was 6 by falling off a trampoline, should my mother have gotten rid of the trampoline? No. How bloody ridiculous would that have been?

I'm in Australia too. A nice little group of us on this page!

I personally think a cat scratches severity should be based on the temperament of the cat. My son (2y) has grown up with a dog and a couple of chooks. He is incredibly gentle and knows to use "gentle hands" with all animals. I have never had a problem with him with any pets. Friend's, family's or even strangers walking dogs (with their permission first of course! I've taught him to never touch a strange animal). All is fine except for one bitch of a cat that a friend has. He has only ever been gentle with her, but she has scratched him more times then I can count. Sometimes even for him just walking past her! She's fine with the family kids (same age as mine), but hates mine for some reason. (She's not an old grouchy thing either)

If that was my pet I would not have tolerated it. I believe that a child does come before a cat. BUT, if he was being rough like pulling tails, and then getting scratched? Ya own fault kid! Hopefully it would teach him to be gentle. An animal can fit beautifully into a family, and they do have their place. We spoil ours occasionally, I never thought it would make us a weirdo.

OK so let's get back on track - her recent demo video re: how to make your own hard candies, aka how to melt down candies and cut them out with cookie cutters. The fire ones, "this had the exact effect I was going for" looked awful. It looked like she accidentally smudged it instead of planned it. I hope that at the party for someone else she took full credit for this stuff so people could see her lack of creativity.

someone posted on her facebook that she should go into a cake decorating business on a picture where she used colored frosting and spelled out a word on the cupcakes. I'm not sure where the creativity is in that.

Oh! and she says that she shortened the intro... not sure that I saw what was shortened...

I saw the comment about a cake decorating business and thought, "she frosted a cupcake and stuck a plastic animal into it." What's so great there?

I watched the candy making video, because I thought it was about making candy, something I want to try. Instead, she just melted jolly ranchers. The best part of the vid, though, was when she said the first step is to wash your hands. Was that a joke? Do her watchers really need to be told that?

I know it's a little thing, but what is with her that she can't turn her phone sideways when she's filming? Do you not notice as soon as you import the video and remind yourself to do it next time? She's had comments mentioning this to her on multiple occasions and still hasn't fixed it.

That is not a "hard candy tutorial". I make hard candy, fudge and other things around the holidays and a lot more goes into it than that.

Cake decorating business?? NO!!! Her cupcakes were basically just green frosting! She really is full of herself to make those things for peoples parties. I made Lego cupcakes for my son's bday last year that were much better than that, and I only do that type of stuff for fun.

someone pointed out in the comments that she has already made a video like this before... why re-upload same topic videos? Is she out of ideas?

Okay have to bring this up ... why do some youtube moms when they do something awesome :love2: like give breastmilk to another mommy (who can not breastfeed or to a mommy who adopted so is not capable of breastfeeding) why do they feel the need to be like I gave breastmilk this month to candace or whoever?

they even kind of go into more detail about the person Jamisons mom or Braidens mommy maybe even give her YT name -__- I have seen candidmommy do this Lucy do this and a few others

I get what they do is amazing but you talked about it we KNOW you do it,seems obnoxious to me idk, like they just want people to know..hey! I donate my breastmilk to someone elses kid
baby # 2 due early 2015 ..fingers crossed for PINK!!

I think it's for the same reason why teen moms put "Teen Mom" in every single video title. They want the attention. I can see saying it once or twice, but I agree some do go overboard by advertising it.

My feelings exactly. But I did do this kind of stuff before new baby. That was a messy way of melting candy. And she kept reminding us to wash our hands because her hands were all over the candy messing with it.GROSE!Her frosting is messy and so were the choc.letters.And the godzilla ones just looked like lumps of overly colored icing.Who were these for anyway?

The intro really makes me giggle.Just show some cute pics. The descriptions are misleading.

Exactly but ugh, rubs me the wrong way I'd hate to get something from someone that was going to keep mentioning it like that...

I actually came here to say that. She posted essentially the same video back when she was doing the aeroplane theme birthday party for deacon.
Her followers mustn't know how to use pinterest or blogger/Wordpress if they think she's original. I've seen that done many times, with isomalt especially but also jolly ranchers like she did.

She's claiming this is a "much better video"... I don't see it.

Also, you think her subscribers can look on websites for themselves? They asked her for help on how to cut a watermelon for goodness sakes...

She needs to keep her camera in better places. I know kids get into stuff but it seems like the boys are always getting to it. Keep it on a high shelf or in a place where they don't go. Unless they just ate really unhealthy and she made that up as an excuse.

*Sigh* another post in direct response to some things being said on here. She is taking this whole "people are going to stop talking about me if I give them an outlet to ask questions" mentality too far. We aren't going to stop talking about how OCD, how weird or your lack of creativity if you tell us to come and ask questions on your channel. You brought most of us here with your crazy video venting about this website; you can't expect us to leave because you say so!

I wish that she would stop making videos in front of that weird tree... it is not a good set up for her skin tone.

I get sad whenever I see her recent videos because I used to love her videos about a year ago. She was fun and seemed to actually like her life and what was happening in it. Now I feel like she is trying too hard to be what people want her to be. And I feel like part of her list making is to prove to herself what she does during the day. I understand the list making because I am like that to a certain extent but I don't put regular chores on my list - just items that I would forget if they weren't on there. To me, that's like putting 'go to the bathroom', 'brush teeth', 'take a shower', etc on your list. She says that she has adjusted to becoming a SAHM or what she calls a WAHM (has she ever mentioned this extra night job that she has before today's video?) I would wonder if this is because of Derek's recent job change that perhaps they need extra money, etc? Maybe it's because of their astronomically high grocery bill?
