I hate myself for knowing this, but I blame it on my photographic memory. I remember watching the video where she announced the middle name and she said it was because Jacelyn's middle name was Raine, and a rain makes a river, ergo, his middle name was River. And I still find it as stupid now as I did then.

Rain makes a river? Errr...well not really. Rivers are already there, the rain can cause flooding. So Kacen Flood Eades would make more sense following Lucy's logic.

In Australia, if you haven't decided on a name and registered the birth within a certain period of time, the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages chooses a name for you. Can't remember what the time frame is, maybe 2 weeks or a month...?

I have a feeling that the middle name is going to be "Dawn" because by Lucy & Joel's logic, this is their first day birth. So while she was giving birth, the sun was coming up and that would be "Dawn". (As discussed above... 8:19 AM and 1:02 PM are both during the day... the only night one would be 3:00 AM for Kacen...)

I've heard of families giving their kids middle names of special family members like grandparents, etc. but I've never heard of picking it based on their conception and labour/birth. I just think that is ridiculous. I will say that it is really good that they spell the middle names correctly though!! Can you imagine if it was Fayth, Rivar and Rainn or something like that. lol

My sister friend had a sister four years ago and it took a week to decide on a name. Hailie Amber was finally named after a week and half.

In my state if the name is judged to be too ridiculous by the Register Office, they can ban you from naming your child.
It even happened that they picked one for you. There was this couple that wanted to name their son "friday" because he was born friday, the supreme court of cassation (ensures the correct application of law in the inferior and appeal courts) prohibited that, the child was named Gregory, after the saint of the day.
(Gregory in english sounds normal, but Gregorio...for a child is still a heavy name )

In NZ you have 6 weeks to register your babies name with birth,deaths and marriages. I doubt they would pick a name for you they would just fine you. How long do you have to send in the birth certificate forms in the US?

In my state, at least, parents have to name their babies before leaving the hospital, since they have to file a record of the birth with the state. Parents have up to year to change their child's name by just filing some paperwork. After that, they need to go through court in order to change their child's name. I don't know about homebirths.

Her kids are so cute...... I love how little Peyson has a big attitude. When Peyson is a teen, she is going to give Lucy the same nightmare that she gave her own mother. I'm betting on Rainbow being laid back (between her sisters bickering for their moms attention and Kacen's need for mamas milk Rainbow won't have much say).

^^^ haha!! Peyson will give her hell when she's a teenager! I sure hope YouTube is around in 10+ years bc it will be hilarious seeing Lucy with all those kids as teens.

Wow they're all gorgeous in that photo of 3, you can see how much the sisters look alike.
I might not like Lucy a whole lot, but dam she produced such beautiful children.
