I wouldn't believe it either. The girl loves material items and money and she didn't even care for getting beats or a real MK bag.

Don't believe a word of it. The girl was all smiles when she could have been going into labor at 33 weeks.. She has zero emotional attachment to this baby.

"He probably shouldn't be playing with that, but they're the ones that put it right in kids reach, so that's just what's gonna happen" -Missy Lanning ladies and gentleman (referring to Oli we playing with the otoscope at the doctors office)

What a bitch!!! And what a terrible mother! How about teach your child to not touch things he shouldn't be touching!!!! IDIOT!!! But this is the mom who is so proud of how they are raising their son. Always blaming everyone else for what Oliver does. It's ok though, wait till he gets older and she starts to see what her "amazing" parenting does. It will be comical! Alright! I'm done for this morning...lol! Have a great day everyone!

If he breaks it, she should pay for it. Those things are REALLY expensive. She seriously said that it's their fault for "putting it in kid's reach"? Instead of disciplining her child or at the very least distracting him with something else? Wow.
I lived in Washington State in a small Navy town with a special needs 2 year old and a newborn, and a Navy husband who was gone over 250 days and working long hours when he was home. I got out of the house with my kids every chance I got-- and managed all by myself. Yeah, we watched a lot of tv, but we also baked and colored, and played outside. I know being as pregnant as Missy is, is tiring, but maybe if she ate more healthy food and walked a little, she wouldn't be so exhausted all the time. Being lazy is a vicious cycle. You get tired _because_ you're sitting around, and fast food does not give you energy...
Sigh. I know I'm preaching to the choir here.

I'm admitting right now that this is a super nit-picky pet peeve.

Why the hell would you get a long-haired dog just to shave him every 6 weeks?
I love long-haired dogs, which is why I've got two golden retrievers. If I wanted short haired dogs, I'd get labs, not shave the beautiful coats of my goldens.
Most dog psychology experts agree that extreme hair cuts on long haired breeds are psychologically damaging to a dog, and it makes them anxious (which Karma clearly is).

I honestly think she does it because she wants him to keep looking like a puppy. As always, it's about her and her wants. She doesn't seem to care at all that he obviously has huge anxiety about going to the groomer (something she herself has stated numerous times), and that he's already a very tightly wound dog.

It's not like shaving long haired dogs makes them shed less, they shed the exact same amount. They're just shedding short and prickly hair instead of long, silky hair. And even the heat of Southern California doesn't make sense, since they leave him in an air conditioned house, or have him just jump in the pool. There's really no reason, other than possibly she's too fucking lazy to brush a long haired dog. I bet he started getting matted, and that's why she gets him shaved now.

I have a long haired dog, and the most she's ever gotten is a trim. When she gets matted and we can't brush it, sometimes we just cut through that bunch of hair so we can brush it. My dog has a gorgeous mane, could never imagine SHAVING her.
I don't think it's nit picky, or maybe I am to. I just adore animals (and want to be a vet), and it's clearly not what's best for Karma.

I'm pretty sure that unless it's a medical necessity, long-haired dogs shouldn't be shaved at all (trims are fine) because it messes with their body. I'm not totally familiar with the terms or issues and I'm not trying to act like I know everything about this, but I know it's not healthy for them, maybe something to do with cleanliness or heat regulation. I do think it is a selfish thing for them to do, and the heat is a bad excuse because a) it's not like Karma has a yard to run around in and b) like someone else said, when he's outside he has the pool and inside, air conditioning.

Aaack, I watched a few of their videos, how can anyone stand them? Unattractive, a bit stoopid, wasting their lives shopping and going out to eat?! Ugh, what a bad example to their 10-year-old fans. Missy looks so unhealthy. Hope they're saving their money from these 15 mins of fame. Have they ever heard of Dooce? :? So they used to live with "family" in SoCal? And now they've moved to Utah, where every other vlogger known to mankind seems to live? Or did they not move? I can't stand to watch their videos to figure it out.

And I've read that gay men make great husbands, but why are the vlogger husbands gay? I realize Jared won't want to live his life as a gay man because he's Mormon. Is Bryan religious too? Is that why he can't be who he is?

They (B&M) claim to be Christians but don't really act like it based off what anyone here has said (I'm not religious so my opinion on that is invalid)

Is there an FAQ type thread? It'd be beneficial to newer people.

I think we had one and it hasn't been updated for a long time. If not, we don't have one at all.

They are still in SoCal but thinking of moving. Portland was one possibility, they even "joked" about Florida. Made sure to mention that Mimi and Papa were thinking of moving too.

I think just some of them are a bit effeminate is why people say that. Although apparently there are real concerns about Bryan.
Give me coffee to change the things I can and wine to accept those I cannot.

Yes, he's a double-coated dog which keeps him cool in hot weather and warm in cold weather. Shaving a double-coated dog puts them at higher risk for heat stroke, sunburn, and bug bites. It can also permanently damage their coat.

Shaving a double-coated dog because it's hot out is sort of like deciding to remove all the insulation from your house in an attempt to make it cooler. Lol. It's nonsensical and does the opposite of what you want.

Everytime Missy "does" her hair it ends up looking like she just woke up. I don't understand how she thinks it looks good. Curling your hair isn't just putting a curl into and calling it a day, like there's a correct method and a there's a lazy shitty method.

Well, I believe that I'm the one everyone is referring to as a minion. It doesn't feel super awesome to come in here wanting to join in on the discussion and be condescendingly called a minion (and that term itself has made me cringe for weeks so it's getting extra jeering to be referred to as one consistently).

I have plenty of criticisms and negative things to say about Bryan and Missy. I don't like their fly-by-night parenting style nor their dependence on technology and material things. All I did was play the devils advocate on a few issues that I feel weren't fair arguments and discredit the board. Sorry if I came off like a minion, but YTMD would seem like a much more welcoming community if you didn't shout "minion!" the second someone comes in with some new perspectives, especially when I made it clear several times I am not a minion nor am I any longer a fan, and just wanted to participate and hear your opinions. I didn't come here to convert anyone.

Anyway. I don't like Bryan's high pitched and heavily computerized vocals, but I really appreciate him putting in the effort to do something to honor his son.

I can't help but wonder why Missy likes Christmas so much..? Any guesses anyone?

She gets presents and has an excuse to spend more money and see her family constantly.

She buys tons of decorations and the. Gets to show it all off in a reveal so the minions go all "OMG, you're like Martha Stewart!"

Church? (Ok, j/k)

I think it's because ... She writes a Christmas letter and makes everyone sit around and listen to to all her thought. It's apparently a big thing (for her). Last year the letter went missing! There was devastation all around Image

Ugh. The amount of mumbling that Ollie does makes me sad. I don't understand why they don't take him to play groups. or part-time daycare. OR ANYTHING THAT GIVES HIM SOCIAL INTERACTION.
If he continues like that, they really should look at early intervention plans.
