Cullen slipped too. I think it's a girl. I don't think they'll keep giving Gaines candy. Katie didn't like idea of it, but I understand why she would allow it after the shots at the doctor. I do think he should have have picked a different sucker. That one had gum in it.

Re: Cullen and Katie: New Year, New Baby Part 3
I don't think they will continue it either. Kids deserve suckers after shots lol! I doubt she even finished that huge blow pop, she probably lost interest in it way before she got to the gum. Did she even really eat much of it? I did cringe at Cullen giving her one yesterday, and was like ImmomSD, I was glad Katie called him out on it. I'm hoping she didnt get to actually eat that one, it wasn't unwrapped when she was holding it, so hopefully it never got unwrapped....

Okay but crying isn't bad behavior... That's what I don't get. Just saying.lmmomSD wrote:Double post- I think it was in yesterday's vlog maybe? Anyway,MG was playing with her toy stethoscope, and Cullen was playing with her, and she had a meltdown, and he gave her a sucker, and said something about "being so good", and Katie got all over him. I was so proud of her! She asked if he was giving her a sucker for crying, and he said no, it was because she was so good. And Katie said, "No she wasn't! She cried the whole time!" They didn't take the sucker away, but I was so happy to actually see some expectations of decent behavior!

I have never watched old vlogs! I recently said that when I see pictures of thin Katie I think she looks funny, but seeing video of her thinner she looks damn good! That is a perfect weight for her.violet-kelsey black wrote:DP

There's a difference between crying because it's a tantrum and crying because shots hurt.Fallonlynn10 wrote:Okay but crying isn't bad behavior... That's what I don't get. Re: Cullen and Katie: New Year, New Baby Part 3
I completely agree. However, neither are wrong. A tantrum isn't bad behavior. It's the lack of coping skills for big emotions in tiny bodies. That's all. She needs to be coached through tantrums, not punished or rewarded or made fun off.ferriswheel wrote:There's a difference between crying because it's a tantrum and crying because shots hurt.Fallonlynn10 wrote:Okay but crying isn't bad behavior... I'm not saying she should have been given a sucker, personally I think she's too young for them altogether, but Katie's comment about "she cried the whole time" wasn't very empathetic.

Weren't they getting the Harmony test (or some variation)? That gives an accurate gender because it's done through DNA

I'm glad Cullen changed up his hair style. The Bieber look wasn't doing it for me at all lolladymama wrote:I have never watched old vlogs! Those pictures that everyone is going crazy for, can someone post them so that those of us without tapatalk can see too? I don't usually bother to ask, but as these pics got such a favorable response, I'm dying for a look! I, too, am hoping for a boy and then down the road, perhaps another girl. I feel a boy might mend Cullen's heartbreak for losing his dad too soon.

Re: Cullen and Katie: New Year, New Baby Part 3
I get that, but she was acting out at the time. Getting a sucker at the doctor's after getting shots is ok. I do wish these folks would at least get sugar free ones though. That's what my pediatrician used.Fallonlynn10 wrote:Okay but crying isn't bad behavior... That's what I don't get. Just saying.lmmomSD wrote:Double post- I think it was in yesterday's vlog maybe? I was mostly happy because other YT parents (cough Bryan and Missy, cough, Shay, cough) seem to be using candy as bribes. They give them suckers to shut them up instead of finding out what's wrong, or expecting better behavior. Toddlers are old enough to use crying to manipulate. I would sure love to hear what C&K really think of Bryan and Missy's parenting.

Cullen and Katie: New Year, New Baby Part 3
I am still catching up so I apologize if this was addressed today but MG is without a doubt verbally advanced for a 16 month old child. Her verbalization, word catalog and understanding of what is said to her is above and beyond the standards. Perfect example, when Cullen told her to sit on her little bench in her play house then reach up to her the bell...she heard, processed and acted. Many 16 month olds would have sat and stared at you like "wtf do you want from me?"Fallonlynn10 wrote:EVERYTHING IS A MATTER OF OPINION. LmaoHelloSweetie1 wrote:Who said she didn't have flaws? The binky thing is a matter of opinion and seems nitpicking just to find one though. Many children keep their binkies well past the age of 2 or 3. Most dentists advise they be weaned off it by 4 years to prevent dental damage.
And if you think MG is just on par and not advanced then your kids must have been geniuses.
I personally think a binki past the age of one is wrong. MY OPINION. I have heard an advanced one year old (not my kid though) that can nearly speak in full sentences. I would say she's on track but not advanced. I haven't actually heard her saying anything in the past few vlogs. Every time they ask her to say something she just stares at them. Lol
I think because Jackson and Ollie are so behind in speech (Ollie way more obviously) people think a NORMAL one year old is advanced. She's not.

They even say the pediatrician confirms this.

Re: Cullen and Katie: New Year, New Baby Part 3
I think sometimes it is what you know as well,a nd if you have one child then that is all you know.. having a boy or girl... My first was a boy and I am Canadian and came from a huge hockey family. I had this idea in my mind of my little boys playing street hockey and being on teams together etc (not that girls cannot play) so I just wanted all boys... when my second was born and they said its a girl, I was like reaally?! are you sure?... not that I wasnt elated to have my healthy baby placed on my chest but I was SO SURE it was a boy. My daughter isnt even two and I know she would be kicking some serious ass on the ice in the future and my son doesnt seem like the sporty type quite yet so you never really knowPlaysinrain wrote:I also think they want another girl bc of the fact that they have everything they need for a girl. I am surprised that Cullen isn't foaming at the mouth for a boy. I think he enjoys being a girl daddy as much as we enjoy him being a girl daddy. I think he likes being wrapped around their fingersviolet-kelsey black wrote:If I were them I would be wanting the opposite gender. I think Cullen would be the cutest dad to all girls but if they have a boy they will be amazing parents to him as well. I am mostly excited to hear the name!
Re: Cullen and Katie: New Year, New Baby Part 3
Only reason I would like to see them have a boy is because it will be funny to compare almost a year older Finn and baby boy CK, because we all know C+K little boy will still be leaps and bounds advanced once they hit toddler years.

Re: Cullen and Katie: New Year, New Baby Part 3
Cullen mentioned before that if Gaines were a boy he wanted to name him Dane but he said something like now that he has Gaines, so he wouldn't name his future boy Dane cos it sounds too close to Gaines.

I can't wait! I love the old fashion style!very Prince George style. If I could afford it my LO would be in smocked dresses all the time lol nutbagmcgee wrote:I just want them to have a boy to see the world and y'all flip out over a little boy wearing bubbles and John John's until he is 4.

Re: Cullen and Katie: New Year, New Baby Part 3
I think they both want a boy but say they want a girl so they are not disappointed if it is a girl.
When I was pregnant with #4 I convinced myself it was a boy even though I really wanted a girl (had 3 boys) I was so afraid of gender disappointment.
