That's interesting. Out of curiosity, at what age do you remember feeling lonely or like you needed someone to play with? I ask because I grew up with two siblings and remember feeling like it was torture lol. I also went to day care and babysitters and hated it. I'm raising an only child now and he likes being an only child. I do arrange for him to have friends over and he goes to visit friends about once a week, but he plays independently really well.
And yeah about the day care thing. It's expensive and kids get sick a lot when they start going to day care or school. Haylee was talking about Hazzel having health issues, so being in a day care might not be the best thing for Hazzel. When my son was little I put him in day care part time before he started public school and he was sick all the time. I had to keep him home half the time (per their rules about illnesses) and still had to pay the weekly tuition! It was expensive!
