I still can decide if Ruby is psychotic or just exceptionally stupid. Who would ever want to admit that controlling her children makes her feel powerful? I mean her vlogs show it through withholding food alone, but to sum it up like that just seems.....insane? Is there a chapter on how she gets a rush from seeing her child's bare feet turn blue in the snow too?

Will there be a way to read this book without providing any income to her?

Did anyone see today's vlog? Now that Julie is 10, Ruby has found a boy to match her with. She is trying to pull him into a carpool. This family is so warped. I wonder if Julie is just playing along so her mom will pay attention to her. On the plus side, maybe Ruby won't make her play with a 5 yr old, while her 11 yr old sister gets to go out on the town.

When Ruby said “capicse” and then Julie didn’t know what it meant and Ruby goes “oh I’m so old”. No. It’s just a different language Ruby. And it means “to understand”. Capisci (pronounced cah-PEE-shee) is a form of the verb to understand (second singular person of the present indicative; second person singular of the present imperative).

Italian is one of my native languages and I cringed when she said it.
She said it wrong and sounded offensive.

Powerful mothers should do some research before teaching the wrong things to their children.
