The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Also, if we are actually counting Elle, yesterday’s video had closer to 5-7.2k less views #EllesGoodMath
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Instead of "Being a SAHM" it should be "Being a SHAM"
It reeks of desperation that she makes such a big deal.
Didn't she also recently make a video just about a poll for her to better understand her "audience"?
She has no personality, she doesn't go anywhere.
Every video is about her having 3 children, cleaning, decorating. She is milking it so much.
She spent 2 minutes saying what an inconvenience it was to have a big laptop because she couldn't connect with her children.
Why does she consider herself full-time YTber?
She makes pocket money from YT, it's not FT because she is not making her living of of it.
And I feel so bad that she is involved in the DoTerra MLM, even including it in the video as she put tasks she needs to do for it, including (something about a convention).

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Agreed. This is evidence that she’s only clinging to the body positive movement since it’s ‘in’ and to leech off others. Like that mom who got a lot of negative press when she posed with her three kids and their ages with a similar caption.
Also - Thursday’s video with such low views is proof SO MANY of her viewers DON’T ask for the crappy content she gives. Yeah - everyone wants to see a 15 minute commercial of how you ‘prep’ for your week. She’s so disrespectful to her viewers. Playing off a sponsorship as requested content.

Wow, the luxury thrift haul was 15 minutes. 7 minutes of that was Elle droning on and on with her justifications. Hilarious!!!!!!!! And then she wasted $200 on the ugliest scarf I have ever seen. Don’t even get me started on all her bad French pronunciations.

You’ve basically hit every point I was going to bring up also, in her early justification, she only justifies why she buys Louis Vuitton... she doesn’t even generalize it. Obviously this is because she only owns one luxury item and it’s her Louis bag.okaythatlldo wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 6:55 am Wow, the luxury thrift haul was 15 minutes. 7 minutes of that was Elle droning on and on with her justifications. So my takeaway from this video is that Elle is like the rest of us and actually DOESN’T have all this spare money she likes to pretend she has, if she did, she would have purchased her beloved purse, but she could only spend $200 because that’s all she had the budget for, and she spent it on a fucking scarf she will get NO use out of
Why not just film the store and buy nothing, and then say you bought nothing because you don’t actually have $4000 to spend? That would make her relatable... which as a consultant, she should know would help her channel... also, when the sales woman says “this is rare to find silver on a black bag” and Elle pretends like she totally knows what’s up I fucking can’t with her!
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Recap: THRIFT WITH ME WHILE I PROVE IM BOTH RELATABLE AND BETTER THAN YOU
Good morning good morning! It’s a bright and washed out morning in the Lindquist household, where #nofilters but lots of light and tone editing to make Elle’s chubby little spider lash face look less shiny, pudgy, and sunken... but alas it does not work and she’s in full Peppa Pig mode.
She’s only making this video because we OVERWHELMINGLY requested it. Such a giver! Thank you Elle for blessing us with this video of you shopping.
For the record, she only likes Louis VuittOOOONNN *heavy fake French accent* because of his “Phoenix from the ashes” story. He’s like our hero Elle, he rose up from an awful life to become successful. She’s basically LV.
To Elle, having a nice couch or bag is like having a Monet hanging on the wall. It’s art. She’s an artist and she expresses herself through her DESIGN and FASHION.
She full on labels herself as vegetarian but then goes on to say that leather IS the best material for making things. Gross justification from an ethical standpoint, but ok.
Montage of Elle driving/filming to stores. Filming while driving your baby
Most of the items she looks at are ugly or out of style, despite being name brand. “My hands are shaking it’s so gorgeous”
Elle ends up buying an ugly ass scarf with ROCKS printed on it. Rocks. A scarf with rocks. But it’s hErMeS so it’s “on brand”. AFTER she spends $200 on it she researched that it’s a collab for some French poet. Insert more poorly pronounced and exaggerated faux French accents. She reads the poem to us (in English thank god) and then explains it to us simpletons. “Look on your way - it doesn’t mean to LITERALLY look, just go in your own way of life” ... wow Elle. Thanks for breaking it down for us, you poetic genius, you! She stumbles through her thoughts here for a couple min, but basically she thinks she scarf was made for her because the poem is about going your way and others will follow your good example. Which is what her narcissistic ass convinced herself she’s doing every single day!
If I were Dan, I’d be embarrassed watching this. Your wife is a ditzy brand whore trying to convince the world she’s some deep intellectual ethical influencer. CRINGE.

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
Omg $200 wasted on a poetic luxury brand named scarf that she will never use. She never thought she would find her dream chanel purse in the store, it's still too much for her to buy so she settles for the useless scarf just for the sake of the video. Talk about authenticity. But it's ok, she justifies that the scarf and her are meant to be because of the poem .
Like what Margie said it would've been more authentic, real and relatable if she had walked out of the store with nothing! These are the value added if the video went that way:
1. There was enough value to the audience to show that luxury consignment store around (even though no one asked for it).
2. It will show that she is true to her minimal minded/quality over quantity motto in life.
3. She wanted the chanel purse, her takeaway could've been that she knows now that her dream chanel purse is not that hard to find and she know now how much more to save for it.
4. She can also sum it up that her budget of $200 now can be used on ethical clothing or be saved for her dream chanel purse fund.
5. It is also can portray that you don't have to be pressured into buying something because of the salesperson/other people in the store. You don't have to try to impress strangers. Also you don't have to impress your audience by buying something you don't need/didn't originally planned on buying for the sake of the video.
This is serious to God honest no hate critique Elle.

Anyone else think she bought the purse but didn’t tell us? Then come December we’ll find out Dan surprised her with it for Christmas? There’s no way she walked away from that purse. No. Way. How much was it by the way. The pictograph was too blurry for me to read from my phone.

I don’t claim to be able to say “Louis Vuitton” properly, but I cannot STAND the way Elle says it

She bought just one scarf...
She mentioned that by buying from thrift stores she still supports the brand? How come?
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
It was 7,600 in the picture and she said "a saving of 3,600", so as other posters mentioned it was 4,000. Do taxes apply after in Canada like in the US? So probably over 4k.Notablogger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 10:51 am Anyone else think she bought the purse but didn’t tell us? Then come December we’ll find out Dan surprised her with it for Christmas? Wait... I think she bought it! There's a picture of it on the thumbnail of the video flat layed beside the scarf. She could have also taken that photo in the store, who knows. Imagine if she bought it and hid that fact.Notablogger wrote:Anyone else think she bought the purse but didn’t tell us? Then come December we’ll find out Dan surprised her with it for Christmas? Here's the thumbnail enlarged
And look here at the video: https://youtu.be/VK6cH321drs?t=683
I think that she took the photo in store, because the scarf was next to the bag and both are on the same white table.
And also the carpet in the thumbnail is the one around the table in the store.

I think she asked the store to hold it for her (maybe put a deposit down) and then told dan to go get it for her for Christmas or something. She did not leave that bag behind.

Omg. I hadn’t even considered that she bought the bag and didn’t show us. THAT would be true Elle fashion!

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
She would never be able to justify to her viewers how she could spend $4000 on a purse. Even if she hands it down to her daughter. And her daughters daughter. Because it’s such high quality it would last forever. Then again maybe she would try and justify it.
