My daughter looked dead on uncle fester. No neck, Giant eyeballs and bald head till at least 9 months!! I am a huge believer that Ugly babies grow up to be beautiful stunning people.
I don't think they are ugly so to say. But I also hate the chicken nickname I wish if they wanted to continue to use it to shorten it to Chick.
I know a girl whose family nicknamed her rooster and then they shortened that to Roo. I thought that was cute.

How do you even get Millie out of Amelia? Maybe it's just because when I hear Millie I think of the Fine Bros old puppet character Milly, but yeah, I hate all the nicknames they have for the twins.

My daughter has a name that can be shortnened like Matthew would be shortened to Matt but other than that I really hate nicknames, my sons name is not a name that should be shortened but people do anyways and he gets so annoyed (Hes only 5! ha) I have never understood people who give their kids one name and automatically call the kid something else. Like, why all the nicknames for Amelia? "Chicken" is one thing because it is more of a pet name but Amelia is a pretty short/easy to say name why do you need to call her Millie? Bleh.

I disagree. Millie and Amelia are two different names. Millie doesn't even sound anything like Amelia. The I and E are pronounced completely different. It sounds so stupid.

Millie is definitely an abbreviation for Amelia.

Amelia was one of the most popular names for girls at the time I was born (where I live), and I know countless Amelias. All but one go by Millie.

Just because you think it's stupid doesn't mean it's not an nickname for Amelia. I'm not saying I like it but according to Google, it's common. I guess it depends on how you pronounce Amelia too. Sometimes it's pronounced differently.

I have a kid with a shortened name. (Like Matthew/Matt) I don't see the big deal. I liked the nickname but the full name sounds better with his middle name. We don't tell people his real first name and on paperwork (Like at the doctor or whatever) we specify what they should call him. It's a non-issue. He only gets called by that name when he's in trouble. Lol. I'm fascinated by names, btw. I don't want to come across as being defensive.

Loads of names have contrived abbreviations. Daisy, Peggy, Molly and Meg are all abbreviations for Margaret. Lily was originally short for Elizabeth not Lillian. Henry has Harry, Hank, Hal etc. Polly was originally a nickname for Mary etc.

When you look at all of those, Millie seems rather intuitive as a shortening for Amelia.

Millie is much closer to Amelia than, say, Dick to Richard. For me, they do have a similar sound, and its easy to see the connection. Nicknames do not have to make sense to be cute.

I’m interested to see what the girls look like in a few years. Right now they’re kind of cute, in an ugly way.

Also, this is just me but ever since the girls were born I’ve felt like Ivy looks more like an Amelia and vice versa. Does anyone else feel this way?

I'm so glad someone else feels me on this lol. Since day one I thought their names should've been switched and I STILL get confused when they call the blonde one Millie/Amelia because I've always thought she looked like an Ivy and vice versa. I had to go rewatch one of their videos just to comment this to make sure I had their names right and I got the same sense of confusion whenever they addressed the babies even though I was prepared for it lol

I seriously used to get mixed up ALL THE TIME! Now I know which is which because I tell myself Ivy is the one who looks like an Amelia, and Amelia is the one who looks like an Ivy! I’m not sure why, because I know it’s irrational, but it frustrates me lol

What the hell is wrong with this woman's eye brows? Sorry if this has been discussed (I haven't been here as much as I like)... did she micro blade or something? They look SO bad, particularly in IG stories. I feel like when she has a ton of makeup on, she looks fine, but let's be real she's a stay at home mom she doesn't need a ton of makeup and her IG stories prove me right... but damn girl wtf with those eyebrows. Not to mention that hair.
