I don't think daycare is necessary. I've worked in childcare for years and a lot of facilities aren't the best because they're underfunded, under staffed and the staff are lacking proper education. You have to pay top dollar for a facility with qualified staff and for 1 day a week it's not worth it. They should just find a play group or something like the gymnastics thing he was doing in Montana. Salt Lake is a huge city, there is bound to be something.

Where I live the going rate is about $8 an hour for part time children.
If he went 3 mornings a week for 3 hours that's $288 a month. That's chump change for them.

Did you see my question to you on the previous page?
I don't see the issues as you do and that's just how it is. They both have their flaws. I'm not here to argue about who is the worst parent, i just Kyra as the better mother and the mother who is maturing and actually trying to better herself, unlike Keren who reads these posts and then does the complete opposite just to "prove us wrong" even if her child is in danger.
I just dont understand how you dont see the issues as I do. Safe sleeping practices arnt formula v breast feeding or do whats best for your family, its a black and white issue. If you put your baby to sleep with large blankets on a soft adult bed, you are endangering their life.

That seems extraordinarily cheap. I've worked in facilities in low income areas and for the children who weren't receiving subsidies, it was still around the 100$ mark part time or not, granted im sure costs differ from place to place. My thing is why send your child to daycare and have them under the supervision of Becky who's 18 and straight outta high school with a few ECE credits when you don't have to? (not nagging on people w/o a degree, I worked in infant, toddler and prek rooms at the YMCA right outta high school and I know I was not qualified to be with those children) The ratio for toddlers in my state is 1 to 6 and unless you're paying for a more expensive facility you're going to have people willing to work for 8-9$ an hr because they don't have a degree or significant experience or even first aid training. Do you think if you took an average joe off the street and gave them 6 toddlers that things would run smoothly? No it takes training and experience. And i'm not saying people who send their kids to daycare are bad at all, like I said i've worked at multiple centers and am currently teaching prek. I just know how crappy these places can be and since both his parents don't work there's not really a need for it, just take him to a play group. Those are just my thoughts on it, I understand if people feel differently.

Yeah, I agree. What'd be great is if Kyra actually tried to make some mommy friends so maybe Levi could have some play dates.

I am a part time nanny, and some of the babies/toddlers I watch also go to daycare, and I don't really see a difference in development. If anything, I feel like often toddlers going to daycare can be under stimulated, because there's really no one on one care or play, when you're watching 8 or 9 toddlers at once it's more about taking care of their basic needs. The socialization factor is good, but I agree that play groups would be better.

You don't need to understand how I feel. You all have your own opinions and just because we don't agree doesn't mean you are wrong or I am wrong. I'm not a young "but buddy" but that doesn't even have anything to do with the situation. Let's stop bickering already it's been days.

They haven't ever said the logo was was theirs, but they did pay someone to create the logo and they have all rights to it. Because Okbaby is Oscar Kyra and Baby

I hate to admit this, but I didn't hate their newest vlog! Maybe it was because Oscar was barely in it, or maybe because the style was completely different. And Oscar wasn't really as obnoxious as he normally is so that helped. I felt like I was actually watching their day rather than a planned production and Oscar explaining the production.

Yeah it was discussed before but it was swept under the carpet because 'its small italian bran they probably didnt know about it anyway' but if u put okbaby in googke thats first thing that pops up :-) so maybe its inspored by that, but ill be honest i dont see that to be much of a deal..

Okay I didn't know it had been discussed. Just pointed it out because I wasn't aware of it and yesterday I saw it in the store I was shopping in and realised.

Oh my god didn't anyone notice in the latest vlog where Oscar says "I was sitting in the room BABYSITTING Alaya" ... You aren't babysitting! She's your daughter! :-o :-o

I haven't watched them consistently and really only skim their vlogs, skipping Oscar. The last vlog was really cute how Levi is getting to talk and he understands so much!

It was enjoyable because as others have said, there was barely any obnoxious Oscar.

I really do think he should have his own channel, full of dumb stuff like his skateboarding and his mansplaining the batteries, etc.

Let us see Levi and Alaya, and just hang out with Kyra like in the old vlogs.

Im not bickering, im trying to understand your point of view. Do you think it is okay and safe for a newborn to be placed in an adult bed with a blanket covering her?
