I get what you're saying, but it really bothers me when people make it seem like Ruby literally never buys fruits and veggies. They're in EVERY SINGLE haul she does including this last one. The kids do eat fresh produce on a regular basis. Organic is a little unrealistic, even if they can afford it now, Ruby could never bring herself to go that far.

As far as saving money in the long run by eating better, i'm not so sure about that.
The kids do not have mouths full of cavities, the acne is heredity (Ruby and Kevin mentioned this, plus she's had it since before the makeup), and their immune systems are most likely due to poor hygiene and oversharing.
how many people eat fruits picked from their backyards like these kids do. The Griffiths also do a lot of canning and stuff, it doesnt get more organic than that. im not saying they eat super healthy but most of their meals are home cooked (i mean she makes her brads from scratch .. did you know  :D )
Feel free to correct my mistakes... English isnt my main language :D

Can Russell not read? Did he not know it was his mom's birthday, he's too old to just go open mail that is not his. I expect something like this from Eve, but Russell is old enough to know better. Then he leaves everything on the floor. he could have at least given it to his mom and admitted to opening it by mistake.

Look at the grin on his face. He was 100% told to do it for the vlog.

Anyone else laugh at the fact she acted like a 10 year old about her birthday? Good Lord, she was pouting because she wouldn't have time for birthday cake and presents because her children have sporting events? You're a grown woman, idk any 40 year old women who get an entire day for themselves on their birthdays. Especially when you have so many kids. Get over yourself. Her selfishness is outrageous.

I thought her attitude was so weird too. I don't know any mom, especially with young children who get a whole day of celebration the way they want. Although some her sisters celebrate the whole whole month of there birthday. Just seemed so silly. Grow up Ruby, kids take up time, u should probably realize that by now.

Yeah he didn't do that. We have NEVER ever seen Russell ever do anything remotely close to that, why would he suddenly open up a random envelope and throw the cash on the floor. Russell knows what money is and wouldn't just toss it like that. FAKE!

Seriously, and she couldn't even plan a birthday party for her own 9-year-old?

We have a container of it for fried chicken (don't judge lol :D ) and a few other items but 1 container of it here lasts a long time (way over a year).
I hate the way she talks to Julie, she had a cute idea and Ruby was more worried about Julie using her paper (I assume it's computer paper and is super cheap for a huge amount) she could have encouraged Julie and explained that she would let her use some paper and pay her back with the money she makes or something like that, I am soo thankful my mom encouraged me and didn't mind if I used stuff in the house.

I use it for fried chicken too. It's the best way to cook fried chicken! But that's it. And peanut blossoms-- those peanut butter cookies with Hershey kisses-- come out better with Crisco than butter for some reason. But one regular size container lasts me about a year.

I do. I have a birthday party and invite the whole family or we all go and do something fun.

Did anyone else find the clip of Ruby singing happy birthday to herself just strange? And she kept complaining it was the worst birthday ever... I've never seen an adult act like that.

Plus Julie just started walking home in the dark from her music lesson because Ruby was 20 minutes late?!? I also cringed the way she was talking to Julie about using paper. It's just paper! Why not be encouraging and supportive? She always has to be negative and pessimistic.

Ruby complimenting chads singing saying “he has an amazing voice” Shari interrupts “I think we all do”. Lol just like her freaking happy birthday message to Julie, has to add in a little jab or make something about herself. Another ellie/ruby in the making.

Knew from the start Shari was a little twat and thats letting her off lightly. If i was in her class I'd have so many mental breakdowns trying to deal with her.

Does anyone else remember that odd video in which Ruby demonstrated to her kids how to shower? Well, once again it's something she picked up from her parents. I don't even know why I'm surprised. In this video grampa Griff demonstrates how to towel off after a shower and regales us with the tale of the day he did the same demonstration for Ruby and Beau. They even say that they couldn't afford a bath mat at the time. A bath mat! ***

With regards to the latest vlog in which Ruby says that Chad is a good singer, she also said "that's why he's so good at violin"- is it me or was Chad horrible at the violin? Maybe all children are? If so I don't think I could survive years of screeching until my child learned to become half decent at the instrument.

**sorry I had to edit because I just can't get over how a family who can't afford a bath mat goes ahead and has another child (they mention Jennifer was pregnant with Ellie)

I'm sorry but it sounds bad when Chad plays the violin and he looks angry and over it everytime. It's his revenge as he didn't get to choose what instrument to play so it sounds off key.

I agree, I've always thought he looked angry and so not into it since the very first time we saw him play. I've been around instruments my whole life and there's a difference in the look of concentration and the look of not wanting to be doing what you're doing. There's nothing I love more than music, but I don't understand the Griffiths obsession with it. Love for music should come naturally, it's not a hobby you should force your kids to do. Let them find what they enjoy.

Ruby is never going to admit how contradictory she is in her parenting. She tells her children to be grateful and punishes them for not being so yet she acts like a 8 yr old about her birthday. I and also many adults do not get half what she got for her birthday. Most adults barely celebrate if at all and nobody I know is treated like Queen 24-7 for the whole day. Life goes on, it's your birthday but it can also be Tuesday Soccer night or Grandma's surgery or grocery day.

Still not over her making Chad and Julie pay for things they forgot when she keeps leaving her purse on the front porch the last two trips or any other hair brained things she does. I don't care for Jennifer (her Mom) but I can't imagine she raised her kids sitting on the edge of a cart holding things to fall off and get her skull cracked, or have kids sleep with their head next to a nasty toilet/floor (boys aren't perfect aimers, face it, that's all I can think about). Ruby seems to have no idea that kids can die or that kids can make mistakes when she sits there and regales stories of all the dumb things she did as a kid with no punishment or put for the world to see. Well, that last part she does to herself now.

Lol, a lot of comments are about Kevin saying that stroopwafels are a Danish snack, but it's Dutch actually :D
My apologies for any grammar or spelling mistakes. English is not my first language :love2:
