If the makeup company you are referring to is Beautycounter, that's a multi-level marketing company. She makes a small percentage of her sales for people that use her link, but I highly doubt she's making $10,000-$20,000 just for doing a post because that's typically not the way marketing works at an MLM company. Traditional companies advertise their products through media outlets, MLM companies advertise their product through aggressive sales agents (Alex) who earn a commission on sales and recruitment of downline. They don't budget to spend $20,000 on sponsored influencer posts when they can get their aggressive sales agents to do it for free in hopes of earning a commission. I wouldn't trust that Alex actually uses the products or knows how to apply makeup, she's just trying to make a sale as a "consultant." MLM are notorious for being a waste of time and money for "consultants' who usually spend more money on product than they earn in commission and translate to lots of free advertising for the company.IVFwarrior wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 3:05 pm I don't think people realize how much money they might be making.
Income on YT is not proportionate. X dollars per 1000 views does not work the same when you have 1000 subscribers versus 1,000,000.
They have nearly half a million subscribers. That's a lot. They have 50,000-100,000 followers that reliably watch their videos the moment they come out. They might be making $10,000-$20,000 every time she does a sponsored post for that makeup company, even though Alex looks like a 1980's teenager when she applies it.
Then all their expenses in the RV they likely claimed as a tax deduction against their fraudulent charity. Remember that "office" they had to have in the girls bedroom, and the 2 pizza parties....
They probably bought the house upfront.
If Alex is spending her time on an MLM, I don't think they're raking in the money. I think they had a large down payment thanks to the sale of their condo in a high cost of living area at the height of the market, which they probably got into in the first place with help from their parents on the original down payment.

Lol, what kind of question is this?? Anyone who watches youtube and follows them on IG gets to see the girls - what makes people think their birth moms dont know or dont get that chance to follow long for the shit show??

I guess qualifying for a mortgage here is far far harder for someone who is self employed - someone who works for “youtube” would be classed as self employed.skiingmama1 wrote:It is a job but you tubers have to file their taxes using 10-99s. This means they pay a LOT of taxes because they aren’t having any taxes on their earnings being taken out like people who work w2 jobs. They’re basically contractors. To qualify for a mortgage as a YouTuber isn’t easy, and it usually requires a LARGE deposit and/or a co-signer etc. I used to work with home mortgages so I know a lot about the process. My best guess is that P+A had a substantially large deposit to put down from the sale of their old condo. Their family may or may not have helped them by co-signing etc too.glamper2406 wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 7:38 amThis shouldn't be a puzzling question. How do you think Bramty, Jesssfam,KK&Baby J, and a few others do this? They are paid my YT and file taxes every year, it is a job. They're paid for it by YouTube.
You have to prove your income, if its variable it has to be meet the absolute minimum for like 24mths, no dips in income. Sponsorships and youtube can be hugely variable. No excess spending.
I guess the fact that they hide behind their “charity” and “religion” and its all rosy and sunshine. Either that or Mommy and Daddy are guilty and have deep pockets

Why does kinsley's hair always looks like a rat's nest? Every picture, video a sport her hair looks like a hot mess! I gather Alex and Phil never brush her hair. Alex was so concerned about flat ironed her hair she didn't get a chance to brush Kinsleys hair. Then Alex throws on a hat, and Callie said she looked liked a boy I laughed sooooo hard!

Sorry if this has been discussed but I am so disgusted with their video intro. “After 8 years of infertility”... WHAT?!?! No you idiots. You have two beautiful daughters you constantly ignore.

Re: Phil and Alex: clickbait, vlog’s late, & kids they don’t appreciate | Part 8
Hmm, I feel differently about this. I went through 11 years of infertility before my son was born, and I loved every second of my pregnancy. I was excited to meet my son, of course, but at the same time, I didn’t want my pregnancy to end. It was a really special time for me after everything I went through to get there. I had a high risk pregnancy, and in a way, I felt like as long as I was pregnant, he was safe. On top of that, I knew this would be my one and only baby, so it was a mix of the excitement of going through it for the first time, and the finality of knowing it would also be the last time. I can understand why Alex feels the way she does, especially knowing how scary and uncertain things will be after birth with a CHD baby needing surgeries and hospitalization. I have 3 friends who are pregnant now, and none of them are behaving “normal” with all of this COVID19 nonsense. One friend is scheduled for an induction on Monday and she doesn’t even have a bassinet assembled. She has so much anxiety over giving birth alone, and then being trapped in a giant Petrie dish with a newborn. IDK- this is one thing I don’t really fault Alex for because I get it.skiingmama1 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 5:37 am For someone who acts so much like a “first time mom” it’s strange to me that she’s waited this long to do any baby prep or purchasing. Usually this is all stuff people do several weeks earlier. She’s already 37 weeks. Do they even have a car seat? Sure it is likely that she will deliver close to her due date or after. Still, most people aren’t waiting on essentials like a bassinet and changing table to be delivered at 37 weeks pregnant. Her attitude truly shows that she’s not ecstatic about welcoming another baby into their family, what she loves is being the pregnant woman. She even said in a recent video that she isn’t ready for the pregnancy to end and hope she stays pregnant for as long as possible because she has loved the experience of being pregnant so much. This feeling in itself isn’t abnormal necessarily.... but what’s odd is we haven’t once heard her say how excited she is to meet her baby and to welcome another LO in their family etc... most pregnant women in their third trimester are anxiously awaiting giving birth even if they have thoroughly loved their pregnancy experience.

Re: Phil and Alex: clickbait, vlog’s late, & kids they don’t appreciate | Part 8
It's because Alex has straight hair and has no idea how to manage natural curls, so she avoids messing with Kinsley's hair entirely. She should only be brushing or combing Kinsley's hair in the shower with paraben-free conditioner to prevent fraying and breakage. It would minimize the frizz and make her knots more manageable, since healthy hair tangles less.Dani_465 wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 2:54 pm Why does kinsley's hair always looks like a rat's nest? It's sad how much more neglected Kinsley and Callie are going to be in favor of the new baby, even long after she starts growing up. Genetics clearly mean a lot to Alex in ways they don't to Phil. I wish she had been firm on "bio babies or bust" with him just to prevent this disaster, but that wouldn't have made her a very good preacher's wife, now would it?
Re: Phil and Alex: clickbait, vlog’s late, & kids they don’t appreciate | Part 8
Well that's awfully interesting. In their babymoon video 2 months ago, they say they're pregnant after 7 years of infertility. Now it's 8 years. I know they like to fudge the numbers to get more sympathy, but are they really continuing to add to their months/years of infertility while they are CURRENTLY PREGNANT???minniemickey23 wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 9:15 pm Sorry if this has been discussed but I am so disgusted with their video intro. “After 8 years of infertility”... I was coming down to say exactly this about K’s hair. Despite tons of people reaching out to her about the curly girl method, Alex still hasn’t bothered to learn how to take care of her curls.saltybitters wrote:It's because Alex has straight hair and has no idea how to manage natural curls, so she avoids messing with Kinsley's hair entirely. Maybe now that Alex is convinced pregnancy is giving her curls, she’ll bother to look into how to maintain them and K will benefit as a result.

Interestingly, now that Grammy is in permanent residence, the children started to look well groomed, shockingly even Kinsley’s curls have been braided.
You see Alex, it’s not that difficult. If Grammy can do it, so can you!

I cringed when Alex asked Phil if her fake eyelashes were too much and be said “can we get everyone out of this house so it can just be me and you right now” She totally ignored him too.... clearly someone is a little frustrated
Re: Phil and Alex: clickbait, vlog’s late, & kids they don’t appreciate | Part 8
Grammy cleaned the playroom, grandad built the girls bunk beds, Phil and friend moved furniture... Alex sat there and did nothing. Probably “didn’t nap” either. Lol. Alex easily could have done that tidying, even at 37 weeks pregnant.Here_2_talk wrote:Interestingly, now that Grammy is in permanent residence, the children started to look well groomed, shockingly even Kinsley’s curls have been braided.

But at least the girls are getting some love and attention right now. They need it so much.

They're frustrating to watch,as they're always so unorganized till the gparents get there. And Phil didn't do the bunks,so gdad has to do them when he gets there,as Phil was just too preoccupied w the chicks.Priorities!

On her insta stories she showed a onesie someone got them and it says “I’m a miracle baby the rules don’t apply to me” And if that’s not the most honest thing I’ve ever seen them post idk what is.

Many have said Kinsley has natural curls. I guess I'm not seeing it. Her hair just looks unkept, every picture, IG story etc. Look at how beautiful Callie's hair is. She even has a bow in it! I don't watch p&a's videos much, mostly follow them on IG. Does Kinsley just not like bows? Alex literally could wet kimsley's hair in the morning and do something with it; braid, a ponytail, barrette something!

Mistreated natural curls look like that. Sulfate shampoos and paraben conditioners, along with heat tools and consistent dry brushing, tend to flatten the curl and make it look like a frizzy unkempt mess. If you spend any time looking at curly girl transformations, you'll see a number of people go from Kinsley's hair to luscious ringlets in a matter of months/years with proper treatment.Dani_465 wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 4:49 pm Many have said Kinsley has natural curls. I watched one recently where in a week she had amazing hair.saltybitters wrote:Mistreated natural curls look like that. But alex is to busy incubating the miracle child that she has no time for anything else.
