Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
She is SO patronizing when she talks to the boys. Like even in regular daily conversation, her tone is awful and cold.
I think the chore charts in theory are a decent enough idea. But forde already had a lot of responsibility for a 5 year old. I don’t like the behaviour charts though. I feel weird about them. It reminds me of this little wooden decor thing my mom had that said “moms mood” and you could change the wooden pieces on it. If for whatever reason she was having a rough day, I would always change it to “watch out” piece. Looking back I think that made her more upset. I imagine the behaviour chart would have the same effect. The kids may have a rough day, maybe because they’re tired or hungry or whatever else, and Elle would display it on the chart. Making them even more upset. I just don’t think it’s a good idea.

Ugh you guys are right. What is the point of those charts when they are not visually appealing to the kids. Cohen can't give a damn about it because he can't read it.
Also, it's not really Elle's secret. She got the idea from Do It on a dime and just tried it out for the first time on the video. How can she think it's ok to make it sound like it's hers on the title and it's tried and true?

Who called it before that Elle was trying to be like Sarah from the Bird’s Papaya?
I still framed this shot because Sarah always makes this face (but still manages to look cute). You guys can judge for yourselves.

I thought that looked familiar. Elle just can't be herself. She always has to ride a trend or be someone trending.Notablogger wrote:Who called it before that Elle was trying to be like Sarah from the Bird’s Papaya?

If she wouldn't have needed material for her video she wouldn't have done anything.

Elle’s Instagram stories....
I find her life quest to constantly feel like she’s in pyjamas “but look socially acceptable” to be really annoying. Grow up and put on a pair of fucking jeans once in awhile, Elle. They’re good for you.
Also, is it just me or has she dropped a ton of weight seemingly overnight?

Yes, I’ve noticed the weight loss as well. She’s obviously been starving herself. It’s the only way you can lose weight like that, that quickly. I wonder how long until we start hearing all about her supply issues?!

She won’t talk about her supply issues this go around. She’ll quietly start supplementing with formula and then almost completely transition to formula. If she’s starving herself ( we’ve seen what she eats), she’s likely having supply issues. Too bad nothing will get rid of her saddle bags and weak chin.

40 million insta stories of her posing in a mirror wearing some plain boring clothes.
Wow idk why her engagement is low. She leads a thrilling life and produces such fascinating content.

Elle on Instastories: “these clothes are so, so amazing. Such good quality and they will never shrink or wear out”.
She’s worn them for a total of 30 seconds.
Those clothes were $180 CDN plus shipping plus taxes and possibly duty. That long ass sweater looked terrible on her, imagine how it would look on someone shorter than 5’ 9 “ . She could have spent the same amount of money on ethically made loungewear (aka pj’s ) made in Canada with organic bamboo cotton. I’m so confused about ETHOS here. Does she consider trying to get the attention of a successful youtuber more important than her “minimally minded”, ethically aware spending habits ?

Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
She has absolutely no style. Imagine being Bonnie and Ellie, asking Elle to choose what she wants to highlight from the line, and she chooses the three most boring and basic pieces? I can get a set of black pyjamas and a long grey cardigan literally anywhere, and for way less than $180CAD +++. Her post does not make me want to shop that brand.
Bollie Brand doesn’t have a huge selection, but all the other pieces at least have some colour and pattern and personality.

Oh I’ll have to check that thread! I legit thought the grey cardigan looked like my dads house robe from the 90’s minus the belt tie. Sorry Elle, that all looks like PJ’s and if you wore it to the grocery store, I would judge you.
Re: The Lindquists: Welcome to hELLE | Part 2
So I just watched Do It On A Dime’s “Productive Fall morning routine” and comparing it to Elle’s “Productive Fall morning routine” which she posted a week later.... what a huge flippin’ difference between a professional youtuber and ELLE. Hence the reason Do It On A Dime got 160k views on her vlog and Elle got 10k. Not to mention Elle dragged her video to 18 minutes so she can include more ads.
The way Kathryn engages her eldest son and involves her kids in a loving way is such a contrast to what you see on ELLE’S channel.
Why is it that Elle goes out of her way to copy and use other people’s ideas, tips, styles, etc but she can’t emulate their parenting ?!!

Isn't all the stuff from Bollie made in China?
What happened with all her ethics and sustainability and shit?

RIGHT?????
Honestly I think that her condescending baby talk garbage (the way she refers to herself in 3rd person as “mummy” ) is her faking it the best she can. She thinks that phony clearly-for-the -camera-voice comes across as genuine love. No Elle. We all know you can’t stand your kids past infant stage.
