I don't know that he has been sent away again, I said it seems like he has. As far as I've seen he hasn't been in any videos or social media posts in quite awhile, and I haven't noticed any mention of it either (not that I'm watching very closely).

I don't know that he has been sent away again, I said it seems like he has. As far as I've seen he hasn't been in any videos or social media posts in quite awhile, and I haven't noticed any mention of it either (not that I'm watching very closely).

On that note, they have barely posted anything at all on social media for the past few months. They're still posting summer footage in December. My first thought was that Ruby is busy home schooling the youngest two, but Kevin said they're back in public school now. Ruby hasn't been seen with any of her family members in a year; she used to visit them all the time. I wonder if she just doesn't want to appear on camera - since they all vlog more than her now - or if there's something bigger going on. At least the kids have a bit of privacy now.

Yeah, their vlogs are months behind. I'm glad Eve and Russell are back in public as well as Abby and Julie. They need to be around other kids their age and socialize. I'm glad that Ruby barely vlogs much anymore, you can tell the kids specifically Chad, Abby and Julie were uncomfortable on camera and clearly didn't want to be filmed anymore. It was painful to watch.

None of them were at the retirement party, not at Thanksgiving, they have missed one or two baptisms, they haven't mentioned the fact that Julie has had another baby.....or visited the new baby, had Julie's other kids over to give her a break like the other siblings have, or anything. When Ellie went to tell her sister's about her positive test (that ended up being a negative one later but was their realization they were ready for another baby), she told her sisters minus Ruby. Ruby and her family weren't even there but you would have thought that if it was important to tell her sisters then she would have had Ruby on FaceTime or something. They don't live far away so distance has nothing to do with it. Someone asked the grandma (Jennifer Griffiths) about the absence and she has stayed tight lipped.

So something happened and she has been distanced (either on her terms or the rest of the Griffiths family's terms) for a long time now but nobody is saying anything.

I also think something happened. Maybe the others disagree with how Ruby punishes her children. I mean, she sends her young son away in the wilderness for several months, she takes away his bed for 6 + months, I still cant belive she punishes a growing child with taking away a good nights sleep!!? She throws her children out of the house the minute they are 18. This year Russel and Eve have been so bad that she takes christmas away from them... what could those two possible have done that was so bad. She said they were selfish ...they are KIDS!! Kids are selfish, they learn to not be with age. They will recieve the gift of repentence she said ...

That was Thanksgiving. Shari was with Kevin's parents. From Instagram it looks like the rest of 8 passengers went hiking in the desert? I'm starting to think that the lack of contact between Ruby and the rest of her family has something to do with this Connexions thing she's involved in now. She may have cut them off.

I kept hearing about Russell and Eve not getting presents but couldn't find where they had talked about that, until today. What the heck. Honestly, those kids are acting their age. Russell is the same age as my daughter and we run a pretty tight ship around here and I am struggling with the same thing that they are struggling with. And I am not the only one, many of my friends with kids the same age are dealing with it as well. It is a hard tween stage where they are discovering more of themselves and testing boundaries but if you look at Eve and Russell, any video I have seen of them....they are just acting their age. Eve went though a really annoying and demanding stage when she was around 4-5 but I have nannied around a dozen kids and that is pretty normal.

When I watched the video of Ruby describing the kids behavior and how she need to "numb" them, how she thought keeping them out of school would help erase their current behaviors, etc....I was like...yikes. There are some kids at my kids school that really act out (more than the average learning/growing) and many of them show signs that they are not getting the positive attention that is needed at home. Did Ruby ever stop think about that? I mostly hear about how her and Kevin are trying to train their kids, train their kids feelings, etc......I rarely see them interact with their kids the way I see the siblings with their kids. They cut Russell and Eve off from school (which originally she claimed it was because they wanted to homeschool but now she is saying it's because she wanted them away from others and the environment that she cannot control in hopes of behavior changes), they cut them off from family, she has been very vocal about her kids not being welcome back to the home once they graduate high school, like.....come on.

I grew up with a narcissistic mother and acted out all of the time because I wasn't getting the emotional/mental support that I needed during my tweens/teens when I was going through hormone changes, puberty, etc......and that is HARD. Ruby is narcissistic. I can guarantee those kids will only be coming back for holidays because they will be guilted into showing up (by Ruby and Kevin) but in their hearts they won't want to be there.

I am curious if we will even see a Christmas vlog as they now know that everyone thinks they are jerks for ruining Christmas for their two youngest children. Their last vlog, they turned off comments because I am sure they knew that with all of the decorations going up, people are going to comment about the present/Russell/Eve situation and she doesn't want to see it.

So they baptized another member into their cult on today's vlog... Anyone else notice that the white jumpsuits they wear for baptisms look exactly like the white jumpsuits they execute death row prisoners in?

As someone who was raised in the church but left and had my name removed from the records the day I turned 18, getting baptized is huge. It's major. Every one of your family and friends attends. I think it's comparable to the Catholic receiving communion or the Jewish gettingBar and Bat Mitzvah. It's huge. I've always had an issue with making an 8 year old choose if they want to do it. But that's another story. There's something major going on between the Griffiths for them to miss that event. Not one of them was there. Conveniently she didn't show all in attendance, but from what we did see none of them were there. We know this because if they were there they'd have blogged and been shown in the vlog. How sad for Eve. I wonder what the kids are being told about why they're not speaking.

Ruby tried to give a disclaimer that she vlogs less and less at the beginning of school and is now really getting into mental health. Ruby and mental health in the same sentence is scary. Super scary. Dangerous. She should not be the face preaching about mental health after the things she has done and continues to do to those kids. Yikes!
