Chad's 13 and Shari's still referring to him as a kid. He is, in the grand scheme of things, but, it's not Ruby or another adult calling him a kid. It's his 15(?) year old sister... I guess she's very used to taking care of them.

I think that their mothers dislike for Julie rubbed on to them for years incl the dad, it is/used to be normal for them to bully Julie. Ruby might have changed her strategy towards Julie but it's only because she's afraid of the backlash that might occur, thanks to Julies popularity.

There's someone in the Bratayley forum who thinks Ruby is an amazing mother and has done a lot to help Julie come out of her shell. She actually said that Julie seems "happy and relaxed" these days! I didn't argue past one reply. Someone that delusional can't be argued with. Funny-- she sees past the facade in Bratayley vlogs.

If Ruby didn’t like her sister Julie, why did she name her own daughter Julie?

Mother Griffiths has been involved in suggesting names for her grandchildren, so the name might've come from her. We've learned that Julie was one of, if not the favorite child with no faults. Ruby could've been jealous of her sister Julie and is now projecting those feelings onto her daughter with the same name. I know that Ruby said before that life was hard when her daughter Julie was born but it can't be the only reason for treating her badly.

Shari seems like she thinks she better then everyone. Chad thinks he hot shit. Lol I think it’s hilarious. Julie I love! She seems like a sweetheart. Abby is herself and I love that about her too. Abby and Julie are amazing. Russell is a talented kid. But Ruby is sooo busy paying attention to miss stuck up over here,mr. thinks he hot shit, and little braty Eve to realize she 3 other amazing kids. That’s my rant for today. Lmao

So glad you didn't! I'm fairly certain that person is a troll. I've noticed they have picked random fights in other forums quite a bit. When they started praising Ruby my jaw dropped, but also questioned their sincerity!

I agree! However, I find Abby to be as annoying as Shari. In yesterday's vlog, she had as bad (if not worse) reaction in as much as disregarding any praises Julie received when they were on the beach. I've seen Abby compete with Julie in other blogs too....having gotten worse, perhaps, after she stopped sharing a room with Julie and bunked up with Shari. That might explain it....Shari's stink bomb attitude wearing off on Abby. The attention these three eldest children (and the youngest, Eve) receive from Ruby and Kevin is very odd and downright dysfunctional in my opinion. I don't see it as a favoritism so much as manipulation and control issues brewing in this family. As much as I like Julie and find her to be a sweet child, I wonder as she gets older if she will become like her Aunt Bonnie caking on the makeup and striving desperately to compensate for the attention she so lacked in her early years.

I think it's because she's so quiet and meek. Very easy to pick on because she won't react. It's very sad to see her feelings hurt like that.

one of the things that Shari does which I find especially annoying is when she’s trying to explain something to the camera she sorta closes her eyes or rolls them - reminds me of a similar thing that Ruby does, it hard to explain. It gives off a weird condescending vibe imo.

If Ruby can get seriously lost 100 yards from the Temple..that very concerning. She has no sense of direction. No awareness of her surroundings..that’s why she always loses Eve and shows up at the wrong places. Hot mess
