I'm new to watching her videos, and this is pretty nitpicky but I don't understand her yt username. Joel pole? Like stripper pole...? And all the little x's remind me of when people used to use emo/scene internet names like xxfallenangelxx or something.
And I'm glad I'm not the only one who got a weird vibe from her and her doula

Well I guess we can be happy she got the birth she wanted with no one announcing the gender til she did. I thought she was pretty good during the birth. I've seen worse on One Born Every Minute.

uh...
1. The goPro didn't shut off like she said it did. Joel was recording well past her bringing the baby out of the water.
2. In her L&D detail video, she said that she started hemrogining(sp?) as she was trying to get out so thats when they gave her the shot. I clearly heard her midwife or whoever it was say that they wanted her to have it "Before it gets to that point", when Lucy asked if she was bleeding.
3. She said that Joel had turned off the goPro to bond with baby and such.. It's almost 10mins after birth in the video and Joel has yet to even touch the baby.

End of video. Nearly 30mins after birth and Joel did not once touch the baby or "bond" with her. The kids or at least I saw Peyson was the only one other than Lucy to touch the baby.

I felt awkward just freaking watching the doula letting Lucy sit on her lap......I can't imagine how uncomfortable that was for her....

I asked on Instagram why she said the GoPro got cut off when it clearly didn't, and I said I thought the doula's behaviour was a little off. My comment, along with all other similar comments, was deleted. Ass kissin' only it seems! Unfollowed.

She says that the doula was the only person to properly squeeze her back to reduce the pain of contractions. Doula was having trouble reaching into pool so she hopped in.

The part where the baby wasnt breathing scared the poo out of me!
I think the doula was awesome, if her husband wanted to be in the water in there he wouldve been.

When my daughter was born in 2011, my husband and sister were both filming. When the doctor asked my husband if he wanted to.cut the cord, he sat the camera down. I've got 15 minutes of video of a Dr Pepper can bc he didn't turn the camera off. If Lucy and Joel really wanted him to bond with the baby, he would've sat the camera down. Seems like she didn't want to lose any precious footage of her bonding with Rainbow at the expense of Joel getting a chance to bond as well. As long as she gets the views she desperately wants.

There was no bonding what so ever between Joel and that baby. Even when they were trying to care for the baby, the midwife told Lucy to give her the baby so she could stand up and Lucy yelled at her "NO NO NO" and the midwife yelled at her saying that the baby couldn't be above her placenta or something like that.

The doula obviously looked like she felt awkward and didn't know what to do. Hence the arm rubbing and the resting of her chin on Lucy's shoulder.

The doula had to stay because the water was too high.
I never took the GoPro cutting off to be literal. She wasn't going to show after that point and reveal the gender.

I can understand any new mom wanting to hold the baby and not really wanting to hand him/her to someone else, but in situations like that where it could turn into an emergency situation if she doesn't follow the midwife's instructions, it's just foolish and selfish of her to act like that. It's not like they're gonna steal the baby from her.

I do feel bad that Lucy (and apparently the photographer?) didn't post photos with Kacen in them. There were probably some taken, but not posting them speaks volumes.

Poor Kacen. It's like they just forgot they have a little boy too Hopefully they included him in the pictures, too, but they just haven't shown them yet. If not, it's gonna be real obvious that he doesn't get as much attention as the girls just bc he's a boy.

Yeah, I have to agree. The midwife needed to check the baby's vitals.
