If I were a nurse, and I saw this specific type of woman come in, and then start filming me, my first thought, honestly would be "oh great she thinks she has to film me because I'm going to injure or abuse her kid or something ridiculous like that." But maybe that would just be me.
I cannot like this enough. You also never know if they have signs up that say NO PICTURES OR RECORDING yet here comes Little Miss Natural Births recording the appointment. She probably acted as if she's super Mom for her home births even though any doctor would probably recommend she have a hospital natural birth next time

She's wearing the same kind of clothes she wore in high school, that's the problem.
Well, since she was pregnant in high school you'd think they'd fit.

Guess not.

Has Adsense been vaccinated? If not I can understand the side eye although my girlfriend's niece has taken her almost 2 month old out since she was 2 weeks old, when we went to Outback Steakhouse....Semi crowded but not like going to daycare which she was discouraged from until she gets shots.

I'm sure YouTube reports what they pay her out so I don't see how she could get away with not reporting her earnings. Especially after all these years. I don't know what the income restrictions are in Cali but I know in NJ my sister makes 60k and still qualifies but it's not 100% free. She still pays a premium but it's just cheaper than if she added her daughter to her private insurance through her employer. It was the same thing when she was in Florida. So she could very well still qualify for it. I can't imagine how expensive it would be for her to insure all of them privately plus herself. Of course that's her own fault but those kids deserve to have insurance and great coverage as well. To me that's a basic human right and that's what Medicaid is there for and why it's so readily available for children.

Not when your diet consists of Taco Bell, IHOP, and chicken and corn. I mean I understand not liking veggies that much, I hate warm veggies but I love salads and chopped up veggies like tomatoes and cucumbers....Jess would love some cucumber! Her diet is probably about as beige as the Lumps.

I'm rooting for Jess to jump on the health bandwagon. I saw that britneyandbaby just restarted her fitness Instagram again, so I hope Jess catches on too. She could make so many videos pertaining health and fitness if she could stop eating crap and make some serious lifestyle changes. She doesn't even have to go to the gym! There are so many great workouts on YouTube (my personal favs, fitnessblender and yoga with adriene). She needs to do it not just for herself, but for her kids. When she's 45 she needs to be healthy enough to chase after her great grandchildren.

Yeah I don't buy her story. But if it's true that's what she gets for going to a low income clinic (where, yes, doctors are rude) when she can clearly afford private insurance but probably has government assistance issued Medicaid because she doesn't "work" and has so many kids. She needs to leave that for those who really need it and stop using scares resources. This of course is just my opinion.
Not sure about California, but in my state she would have to file taxes on her youtube income and would therefore not be low income enough to qualify for Medicaid. Especially with Chris having his income added when they got married.

She could have a government insurance through healthcare.gov, but that's not the same thing.
And on top of that even if she has Medicaid, she could be going to a regular doctors office, not a low income one. My normal doctor takes Medicaid and their clinic is not a low income one.

You don't even have to file taxes unless you make 9,999 or more a year. It's recommend to so they don't come after you later and ask why not but I mean you don't get a refund or have any legit tax forms to fill out.

Second, maybe I missed it, but Jess seemed to be filming the whole time but didn't catch that reaction on camera? That seems suspicious to me.
Exactly this. I find it odd she filmed everything before and after but conveniently cut out the doctor's supposed reaction.

Also, I'm sorry, Jess, but it isn't the doctor's job to treat you like a snowflake and be delicate about your feelings. The issue of childhood vaccinations isn't about whether to cloth diaper or extended breast feed. It's literally life and death. The doctor's job is to keep your children healthy and well. Sometimes, in doing so, that means telling you that you need to do things differently.

She bashes doctors so much, but if it weren't for doctors, she would not have survived her last birth. But, I guess when she arrived at the hospital after Addie's birth, they should have just patted her on the back and told her what a brilliant mom she is and given her kudos and accolades for being brave enough to have an ill-advised home birth, rather than attended to her medical emergency.

Vaccines are developed through years and years of stringent testing, and thousands of researchers, doctors, and medical labs. But I'm sure that the doctor who went through years of medical school (and likely years of practice) should instead say, "Oh, you're right! We all were wrong. Your google degree trumps everything we know."

Sorry, I'm in a pissy mood today. But this shit pisses me off.

I would imagine, if anything, she rolled her eyes because she will have told her "well your child is sick so if you aren't going to vaccinate her you need to keep her inside and safe." Jess: "oh no we're going to legoland tomorrow and she HAS to come with me because I breastfeed and she can't possibly be removed from me." Doctor: "*sigh* Okay then sign the medical release/rejection form and take her with you but don't come crying to me if she ends up with a life threatening illness with her already compromised immune system."

She could make 100k a year and it doesn't matter. YouTube doesn't take taxes off the money so idk if they get a 1099 or what but she can make crazy deductions to get the 100k to be more like 20-30k actually made. She can put clothing hauls, gas, internet, everything that is for YouTube, like anything she shows on YouTube can be a a job expense. My guess is she lowers her income to the point she can receive state insurance. I can't imagine they can actually afford private insurance, I don't know many people who can for 7 people.

I thought I was the only one in this too! There are very few vegetables I enjoy cooked in any form. I prefer eating my veggies fresh, and my mom thinks I'm crazy because I think steamed corn and cooked carrots are disgusting, but corn on the cob and fresh carrots with hummus are delicious.

As a nurse I can totally understand the drs response. Although maybe they should have kept it to themselves and had a bitch about it in the tea room later, just like everyone else does. But let me tell you it is so fucking annoying having parent after parent forcing you to explain every single chemical in a vaccine and harras you for doing your job. But then do a full 180 when their kid is actually dying and they never question what is in that life saving medication you are giving. When you know for a fact it is doing more harm then any vaccine every would. Did Addie have an MRI or CT with her Apnoeas? Never head Jess complain about the intense radiation to her small child... Some parents are fucking idiots. Rant over!!!

If you make more than $650 at a job that doesn't take taxes and gives a 1099 you have to file.
I work in payroll. I know the amounts needed to file taxes.

Ok well I didn't know they were different values. I only made about 5,000 this year and when I filed it was DIFFERENT like I stated it was if you made less then 9,999. No need to be an asshole.
ETA. I'm so over every little posted getting knit picked. That wasn't even the point of my post it was the tiers system for medical based on your income.
God forbid I only gave half the information because I wasn't sitting here trying to discuss taxes.

Sorry. Did not mean to come across as an asshole.
Just most people here assume things about youtube money and taxes when they really don't know.
Taxes are a lot different for 1099 jobs versus W2 jobs because with a W2, you have taxes/social security taken throughout the year and your employer pays half of that. With a 1099 you are responsible for it all. So you don't pay taxes on money throughout the year, but you still owe that amount at the end of the year. And if you are expected to owe a certain amount by the end of the year with a 1099, you are actually supposed to file quarterly (but I think most miss that rule and file all at once)
