I've never found Cullen to be funny. He's actually obnoxious and rude a lot of the time - but HE thinks he's funny! He and Jay both seem like overaged Southern fraternity boys most of the time.
I'm guessing Katie has a trust fund because this house does seem above their budget just by judging their YT income estimates. I'm guessing they still make less than $100,000 per year from YT (and that's probably even before taxes), but this neighborhood seems like the "elite" area of Birmingham. Jay's a lawyer, so I can see how he and Kelly can afford it, but Katie and Cullen?? They certainly aren't that popular and it doesn't seem like their channel is growing much at all.
You people really must misjudge him a lot when you can't even tell when he is and isn't being sarcastic. I definitely don't see him as being dishonest to his viewers, but come on. There wasn't a hint of sarcasm in that "30 minutes away" statement. I can see him getting caught and trying to make it out like it was a joke, but nah. That was him trying to throw everyone off. No doubt about it.
Jeez, he got me good! Still crying having just finished the vlog, of course my husband thinks I'm silly but when katie was in gaines' room and cried I totally know what she meant about walking past the room so many times with the door shut and wondering if you'll ever get to see a child live in it. And then filling that room and making it exactly what you always dreamed about. And to leave that is so sad! I really really feel for her about leaving behind some of the memories of her miscarriages! I hope they have a beautiful new life in their new home. Loved the vlog.
I'm pregnant and hormonal ATM, this vlog sure did bring out the hormones and emotional roller coaster. I can totally relate to Katie and the miss carriages, I had a few myself.

It was a nice vlog leaving their old house that holds lots of wonderful and sad memories. I hope Katie is able to see the new house as a fresh start and perhaps let go of the loss she associates with places in her old house in regards to pregnancies like she stated. I thought it was a healthy response she acknowledged (with what I perceived she said) perhaps she should be further along in letting go.
I agree with MG first steps. I wish we had filmed these moments too.
On another note, money must be ok since it will cost a bundle to hire someone to paint the interior of this larger home:) I am glad they are going neutral.

It seems to go beyond sarcasm and he appears to really enjoy misleading and fooling the viewers. He seems to get a weird sense of satisfaction out of it. I could see where people may suspect he's a compulsive liar. He likes to test boundaries and see what he can get away with, and he doesn't seem to have impulse control at times. I can't say one way or the other because frankly I don't know him well enough from the vlogs alone. But I can understand why he makes people uneasy. To me he seems to really enjoy making himself the center of attention and I get a narcissistic vibe, as I do from most vlogger. I think part of that is acting out and being outrageous and sometimes lying for effect.

I agree-- he likes to stir the pot, like when people were freaking out about him tweeting about microwaving Brooks' bottle for 2 minutes or whatever he said. And saying he only feeds the cats on Saturday. There's always someone new to the vlogs that hears that and freaks out. And he just sits back and watches the action. When they left MG in the car, there were people who were convinced it was one of Cullen's "jokes". He's always rubbed me the wrong way, but he is overall a really good husband and father, except for his unwillingness to get up in the morning. He obviously makes Katie laugh, bless his heart. So I roll my eyes, but don't let him bug me too much most days. Every so often, he'll get too obnoxious-- I absolutely agree that he and Jay are sometimes like they're in a Pi Kappa Alpha house at Alabama, and I hope they don't take over the vlogs. They can have their own channel...
I thought Cullen did a really nice job on the moving vlog today. And Katie almost got me going when she was showing Gaines' empty room. I hope this move will provide her some much needed closure. They are so lucky to have such involved families to help on such a hectic day. And it was really nice of Cullen to give the moving company such a nice promo. Always nice to support a local company, and I assume they weren't getting anything out of it like discounted moving services. They seem to always be so nice to people in service industries, which unfortunately is not always commonplace.

I agree they gave a nice recommendation to these movers and they look like a great company, but I tend to think they got some type of discount or deal.

You articulated what I have been thinking perfectly!
I cried. I feel like a moron for crying. I totally understood what Katie was talking about, we lost our first baby at 20 weeks and I didn't know if we would ever have a healthy baby. I like how they still share how they are feeling to an extent, while trying to keep as much privacy as they can.
Damn these pregnancy hormones for making me cry! Cullen really got me with the end song and flashbacks... And the footage of shutting the door. I'm not sure why but my god did I sob. I'm really excited to see all of their furniture in the new house. And I'm anticipating a "New House New Baby" vlog in the near future.
