Shari annoys me overall. She seems like a stuck up person. Like when she gets together with other kids from YouTube she always has this nasty face towards the ones she thinks that are below her. Shari seems like she thinks she better then everyone. Chad thinks he hot shit. Lol I think it’s hilarious. Julie I love! She seems like a sweetheart. Abby is herself and I love that about her too. Abby and Julie are amazing. Russell is a talented kid. But Ruby is sooo busy paying attention to miss stuck up over here,mr. thinks he hot shit, and little braty Eve to realize she 3 other amazing kids. That’s my rant for today. Lmao
I agree! However, I find Abby to be as annoying as Shari. In yesterday's vlog, she had as bad (if not worse) reaction in as much as disregarding any praises Julie received when they were on the beach. I've seen Abby compete with Julie in other blogs too....having gotten worse, perhaps, after she stopped sharing a room with Julie and bunked up with Shari. That might explain it....Shari's stink bomb attitude wearing off on Abby. The attention these three eldest children (and the youngest, Eve) receive from Ruby and Kevin is very odd and downright dysfunctional in my opinion. I don't see it as a favoritism so much as manipulation and control issues brewing in this family. As much as I like Julie and find her to be a sweet child, I wonder as she gets older if she will become like her Aunt Bonnie caking on the makeup and striving desperately to compensate for the attention she so lacked in her early years.
Interesting, I haven’t watched a lot this year. I watched them but not like I used too. I’ll look into how Abby acts. Because if that’s true then damn that sucks for to be like Shari. Yeah I see the comparison. I feel bad. If I was her older sister I would try to lead her in the right direction.

I don’t blame Abby for being a bit shitty with Julie sometimes. I feel like she’s the only one with a valid reason. Imagine being lumped together with your younger sister your entire life. Matching clothes, sharing a room, matching gifts, constantly compared to each other because you’re of a similar age and both the same sex. Obviously that’s not Julie’s fault it’s the parents and they should recognise this and amend it, but they won’t.

Oooo you’re right I can see that too. It sucks that they have to share rooms and be in each other’s business when it each kid should have their own privacy. I think what bothered me was the vlog where all the kids attacked Julie and Abby got in trouble. Okay why put the blame on only Abby. When others were involved. Also if the issue was between Abby and Julie then it’s between them. Don’t get involved. I don’t know I have a lot of questions for them. How did you guys feel about that?

I feel like Abby gets the blame for A LOT of things that happen, on and off the vlogs. A few videos back, she was upset that Julie took her sweater and lost it, and the other kids all said something about it to Julie, and Ruby still had Abby and the others apologize to her. What should have happened was Julie should have had a talking to about taking things without asking.

Abby and Julie are the middle kids and they don’t get the encouragement and praise that Shari and Chad get, nor do they get the attention and affection that Russel and Eve get. They’ve been pushed in together and they don’t really have separate identities in their parents’ eyes. They need encouragement and affection, not confusing “life lessons” and wrongful blame.

Yeah, that was so strange...like she full on cried over being lost for a little while. And it wasn't like she was far from the place they're staying, anyway. It isn't hard to ask somebody where a specific road is...or...maybe just be careful about where you go alone..? There really was no need to cry over that.

Also, at the beginning of Ruby's meltdown thing, Eve coughs and Chad scolds her for it saying "DON'T COUGH STOP COUGHING" and it wasn't addressed at all. That was so odd and uncalled for.

She felt embarrassed. And it wasn't the first time she got lost/forgot something. She said that her kids would end up putting her in a home for people with dementia, so it really seems to be an issue. And we here talked a lot about how she seems to forget things all the time. I know some of you think it's a show she puts on for views, but what if she really has a problem? The amount of times when she forgot something/got confused/got things mixed up/got lost doesn't seem normal for a person her age.

I hate this family. All the way around. I don’t find anything cute or entertaining about them. Ruby loves herself and only herself and the kids are all brats. Kevin, yuk!

I just watched the family surfing vlog. They were not nice to Julie for sure and it felt like it was the kind of dismissiveness that is deeply embedded in a family. It's not overt meanness, but almost worse in a way. Sad.

But I came here mainly to say that I don't understand why a 7 year old child can't play on the beach with another child of the opposite sex without it being a "crush". It's so revolting the language these people use. I hate it when parents talk about their child's "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" just because they play together all the time at recess, but this takes it to a whole other level. His "crush"? They met like 30 mins ago and are building sandcastles together!

^ Yeah, Russel was literally digging himself a hole in the sand while Ruby pestered him for a photo with his "crush".

Yes, Russell seemed to feel very embarassed - only because Ruby made up this "crush situation". I guess, in her world it is also completely impossible that adults of different gender can be friends. And she makes sure, her kids get the same kind of view on this.

Ruby was loosing her voice and a couple of the kids had started not feeling well. She had talked with friends in UT and they said strep was going around. That's why Chad was saying don't cough-he's hoping her not coughing will stop the sickness. Eve couldn't help it though.

I recently started watching "Meet the Millers." They are UT youtube folks too. I think they live in Logan. They have went to a couple of events with part of their family sick. It's not hard to figure out why strep may be going around if folks are doing like them and going anyway to their planned event!

Okay, that's what I figured about Eve coughing. Chad's tone just came off as a bit aggressive to me.

And yes, I know that Ruby was embarrassed, but that's not normal to drop the ball so many times. She's forgotten so many things, and with the remarks she's made in the past about the kids having to put her in a home, she definitely seems a bit worried.

I don't understand why these families are so strict about dating. It's so confusing because one minute, they're like "no dating until 16!" and the next, "our 7 year old's crush!" ... sorry what

I really would love to know if that is a youtube thing ("crush" bringing in more views or something) or if they really talk and think like that, even when they are not filming.
All my life, even as a 4 year old (and still now :D ) I almost always only had male friends. I'm so glad my parents never made anything out of it or commented on it. For me those were just normal friendships.

I would be wondering if maybe she has some kind of issue with her brain? Like a brain tumor, or maybe early onset Alzheimer's. I do know there's "Mom brain" but, hers goes way beyond that, and I would honestly look in to it, if I was her.

Exactly what I am thinking... there's something wrong, and she really needs to go get it checked out. The sooner she does, the better. If nothing is wrong, it will ease her mind, and if something is wrong, then the sooner she gets looked at, hopefully it can be taken care of, before it gets worse. I just don't think THAT part of it, is for views... why would anyone want everyone to think they are losing their memory... and if it is for views, I would be extremely pissed off at them, for using something like that for views.

She's such a attention .... Ruby can't longer handle that her children get all the attention on HER family channel so she creates a dramatic story with her as the main character, surrounding the precious beautiful temple. I would have believed the full story if it didn't remind me of how her mother tells stories, being manipulative. I just feel like Ruby's and Bonnie's poor me stories usually are to good to be true and they always end them with dramatic tears, too soap opera for me.
Ruby should be visiting a specialist doctor if she's thinks that something is wrong, they have the money. I suspect that Ruby didn't receive enough attention from her parents growing up and she's somehow experiencing some of it again with Kevin who isn't always the most attentive husband so she seeks validation from the viewers with these stories from time to time.
