Easy for you to say. You're probably christian. Of course you don't mind that all the family vloggers are representative of your own life.

Just like I'm sure plenty of middle class white folks use to say "I don't know why all these people of colour get so upset about tv programs. I like watching shows with white people in them. It's nice to see families I have stuff in common with".
i think its nice when families have that thing in common, a passion in which they share and makes them feel good about living life.
Uh… atheist families have plenty of stuff that we share and makes us feel good about living life. As in, Living THIS life. Without all this nonsense about worrying about being saved in the afterlife. I know I have this life. There's no proof about there being anything after. I'm not wasting my time trying to please a non-existent overlord to live in his magical sky kingdom. If other people want to believe this stuff, that's their prerogative. But let's not act like believing in fairytales makes someone more wholesome than other families.

Wow why is this even an argument lol. And just because you dont believe in something doesnt make it nonsense. Everyone should respect eachothers beliefs and leave it at that.

No. I respect everyone's RIGHTS to their beliefs, not the beliefs themselves. Like, if I believe that people with red hair are soulless and inferior, I have a right to believe that. You have every right to NOT respect that belief, and to think that it's nonsense and crazy.
And OF COURSE religion is nonsense. If it was sensible and logical, it would be fact and not faith based. The whole point is that it's nonsensical. The faithful are not supposed to require proof or for it to make sense. They're supposed to believe without question, and have complete faith that all will be revealed eventually.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that, I just don't have it. I can't force myself to believe in something not real. Whatever it is that makes some people okay with not needing proof, I don't have it.

But regardless, this is neither the time nor place for theological debate. I was simply responding to the poster who implied that it's better for families to share in faith in order to live a fulfilling life. It's not true. Many happy and fulfilled faithless people are proof of that.

That's all I wanted to say on the matter. Let us return to gossiping.

I am not Christian myself, but can respect their beliefs. I have no problem watching the legit religious family vloggers. Why? Because they illustrate empathy, family values and a positive, giving and thoughtful energy that I myself try to maintain.

I judge based on the person, and NOT based on my agreement in their beliefs. For a non-religion based example- I like Casey Lavere, even though I hate hunting.

Theirmom - you are being super rude and disrespectful. There's a difference between believing that redheads are evil, and believing in a religion. Religions have many followers, and they often do make sense in a way.

I myself am Jewish. But I'm also agnostic. I respect religious people as long as they don't use their religion as justification to hurt others. Ultra orthodox Jews? Fine by me as long as they don't ask me to sit at the back of the bus for being a woman. Ultra religious Christians? Fine by me as long as they don't tell me I'll burn in hell for being a Jew. Ultra religious Muslims? Great, as long as they don't send suicide bombers to my supermarket to kill me for being an "infidel". Extreme athiest? Fine, just don't be rude to me, my friends, or my family for being more traditional than you are. I've never met an extreme Buddhist so... Yeah.

BTW, if you're wondering why I put atheists in the same category as religious people: it's because being 100% sure there is no god, is just like being 100% sure there is one. You can't prove god's existence or nonexistence. So just focus on living your life in a good way, and don't ridicule others for believing in something that helps them be better people.

I feel the same. I consider myself agnostic and sometimes it does bother me when vloggers go on and on about their religions, but it's only cause I don't relate. It's only really a problem for me if its way too much and all the time. They are free to exercise their beliefs, just like I'm free to unsubscribe if I want. I love vloggers like the Nulls who seem like a very religious family, but they're also more than that, it's not their whole identity. And it's fine if religion is someone's identity. I can choose not to watch or I can just appreciate the other qualities I like about them. I totally agree with whoever asked about atheist vlogger families, I would love to have someone to relate to.

She laughed.

You know the LA thing probably wasn't that important... or I would hope not since Missy "was too sick to go" yet ran errands & all the crap which were shown in the vlog.

The whole claiming Christianity thing drives me mad - either be religious and open about it and genuine (like the Nulls or E+J or any of the gazillion Mormon families) or don't. Don't just talk about how "passionately" you believe in things when you're raising money for a Christian charity.
Honestly? I'd prefer they don't mention it at all. The whole Gawd thing is what turns me off of a lot of other family bloggers. It's the one thing Bryan and Missy have going for them. They can go weeks without nauseating me with Jesus-speak. (when they get on a kick though… blech. Puke worthy)

There is a serious deficit of atheist family bloggers out there. I want to start a family vlog just so all my atheist family brethren get some bobdamn representation.
I'd subscribe!

@theirmom...I totally get you!! I'm an atheist as well and I get you!!!

Anyways, I thought it was funny someone commented on yesterday's vlog , why does Missy always have her mom with her everyday? Of course the minions came right on "her mom isn't with her everyday" (what vlogs is this person watching??)
"They have a strong bond"
"Missy's lucky! If I could be with my mom that much, I would, too"

Barf!!!!

Love Bryan's slick camera work in the pool - only showing above his moobs. Gotta keep convincing everyone he's "good looking".

And God Missy is such a baby with the tea. My acupuncturist told me to start drinking ginger tea twice a day - and it's delicious! Bryan was right shockingly, it barely has a flavor. Missy is such a fucking brat. I have 0 sympathy for her and her "morning sickness".

Did she really say she likes feeling sick because then she knows she's pregnant??? Do these people have a brain? Yes I realize she lost babies, but feeling sick so you can reassure yourself you're pregnant is fucking insane.
