I totally understood what Katie was talking about, we lost our first baby at 20 weeks and I didn't know if we would ever have a healthy baby. I like how they still share how they are feeling to an extent, while trying to keep as much privacy as they can.
I'm so sorry for your loss. We lost a baby as well at 23 weeks due to a fatal heart defect. Katie's comments resonated with me. I also questioned whether we would ever be able to have a healthy baby again. My "rainbow" baby was born 7 weeks ago and there is something so special about her room and everything it represents. Both my daughters were born here, and our loss happened here. It will be very bittersweet when we leave this house one day.

I actually know a compulsive liar in real life and those people destroy families and friendships and are really really hard to stand, it's pretty harsh to call Cullen a compulsive liar if he lies once or twice, it looks more like an ill thought out attempt at covering up that they are neighbors for a while.
I agree with, Pibachka. I do not know Cullen irl, but he was totally being sarcastic. He is not a compulsive liar. I was married to one for 11 years, and being sarcastic is not lying. Most people know his sense of humor which is 75% sarcasm.
I must be made of stone. It didn't really get to me. Like I said, growing up Navy and moving several times, then marrying a Navy man and moving several times more, the house isn't as important to me as the people and the memories I have with them. The house is just a temporary shelter where it happened. I miss my house in Washington because we built it, so it was pretty much exactly what I wanted. But the rest of them are just houses.
And that's all I'll say, because I understand that I'm weird. And I don't want to be insensitive. I get that Katie bringing up her losses resonated for those of you who also had losses, and I don't want to be disrespectful of that at all!

The exact reason why so many of us respect you here. You may not understand her reasoning, but you respect it.
I get emotionally attached to things, especially related to my children. She broke me... not gonna lie. I was crying when she was explaining..: husband was looking at me like I had lost my mind.
I just watched their house tour (I don't watch them anymore so I didn't even realise they were moving) I haaate the house they bought. It's so outdated, if I'm spending $650k on a house I don't want to have to redo the entire interior because it was designed in 1985. They're going to spend so much money renovating that house. All of the bathrooms are hideous, all of the cabinets look cheap and tacky and the layout is odd.

I agree they gave a nice recommendation to these movers and they look like a great company, but I tend to think they got some type of discount or deal.
Check the description box for deets ref Cullen & Katie subscribers getting 10% off any move booked with Road Runner movers. Def a partnership/sponsor.
The JK Today did a vlog on the move also.

I also don't like the house at all. The rooms don't flow in an open floor plan where you can see everyone. They are just a series of gaudy, closed in rooms. In addition to all the inside renovations they will be forced to do they also have no fenced in yard or big outside play area for the children or dogs. That alone would have made me pass on the house and look for something more suitable. A narrow strip of yard backing up to a golf course walkway/cart path busy with pedestrians and carts and no fence separating the two areas would be great for an older couple but not little children! I just think Katie fell in love with the house and did not think with her head. She let emotions make the decision to spend $640,000 on a house with no pool or large yard that is not really suitable for young children at all.

Oh wow. Well then it makes more sense why Cullen talked at length about the moving company.

Yes, I have to agree.
I completely understand what Katie was referring to when she said she would walk by the spare bedrooms and wonder if they would ever have kids to put in there. We are not trying to get pregnant, but we have a spare bedroom for the first time ever and we talk about making it a nursery when the time is right. At least once a day now when I walk by the door I wonder if we'll ever turn it into a nursery and I imagine what it will look like. I know they said they delayed starting their family until they were financially ready. I understand what that wait is like and how you hope and dream for years about what it would be like.
I apologise if this has been brought up before, but I ended up with this in my recommended
It surprised me how much Katie had changed! I knew from the start of their C&K channel she had changed but I didn't even recognise her at first. Also comparing today's vlog with some of the ones on the above channel shows you how Cullen's editing skills have improved

Almost 10 years can change a lot. I will say that I'm glad that helmet hairdo Cullen had was never a thing up here in the midwest. Yikes!

They've both changed a lot. The obvious is the weight gain but she still has such a pretty face and can lose weight if she tries. Cullen looked so serious at the wedding for the first time and it was poignant seeing his dad with him.

I agree. I don't think they really thought through buying this house and really thought about just how much work it really needs and how much it will cost to renovate it to suit their taste.
Also, it would drive me insane having the fridge stick out over the cabinets like that. For a house that is so expensive and designed and built by an engineer (as they say) you would think that the kitchen would have a proper fitting space for a fridge.
Cullen is so good at making moments like this special. He really knows how to draw out the emotion in people and i'm always impressed at how well he does vlogs like this last one. He has a special talent that leaves his "friends" vlogs looking lackluster. (Hell i doubt Bryan even edits anymore, but his or Jeff's editing skills suck compared to Cullen's now. He phones it in every vlog, every single day is exactly the same. Cullen tries to make the most mundane of days interesting with his editing, I appreciate the effort he puts in them.)
I REALLY love this house and i think it fits C&K so well. I don't see them making any HUGE changes too the home either and i think that is great, this house just fits them.

Yes, I don't think they realized that a house this large with closed off rooms is not ideal for a family with young kids. Besides the fact that they're going to have to hire a cleaning service and pay them a pretty penny (Everything is going to be so much more expensive with a house that size.), I doubt they'll actually use half of the rooms. I could see the layout and space working for a large family once the kids are independent and approaching the teenage years. But it makes very little sense for a young family with small kids. The fact that the HOA won't approve fences along the golf course is unfortunate.

The fridge thing is a recent add on. I think in the listing it said "A new over sized fridge " so in defense of the engineer that built the house, that fridge is not original to that kitchen. I think it would look 100% better and not be as noticeable if they just knocked out that built in on the side of it (not the side next to the cabinets, but the side open to the kitchen.) If they really like the fridge and don't mind the cabinet issue (bc they aren't totally unusable) i think that quick fix would at least make it less of a prominent eye sore. It would be a great option for short term if they plan on redoing the cabinetry later down the line as well.
Well, they kinda pulled a Bryan and Missy-- they were talking about how excited they are about the new house, and it was all about _their_ hard work. They said something like "you have been watching", but it was more along the lines of "You've seen what we've been through" rather than thank you for watching, because without you, we wouldn't have this. "Due diligence"? How about 500,000 subscribers, who watch every day?
