Thanks for that link. I just watched the Access Hollywood interview for the first time---I was very curious, having heard it mentioned here. Everyone here has covered how badly behaved the kids were. Just non-stop naughtiness. What also struck me was that Ashley wasn't watching the children at all for most of the interview. She sat there between Tyson and the hosts and kept her face on the hosts the whole time while mayhem unfolded in front of her and the kids yelled and cried so loudly the hosts were raising their voices. I can't imagine doing that. When your kids are small don't you get used to keeping your eyes on the kids while you talk to your friend or whoever? Isn't that the new normal for conversations for a few years until the children don't need to be supervised so closely? Just flocking unbelievable to me that the kids could be in such loud, naughty turmoil and the parents didn't get off the couch (except Tyson, once I think) or even notice. That must be why there was no discipline, the parents didn't even know what was happening.

Or maybe the understanding between Ashley and Tyson was that he would watch them and she would talk---my husband and I took turns like that sometimes---but when the noise alone tells you more than one child needs attention, you don't leave your partner to it. Isn't this just un-flocking-believable?
If it were me, I would have excused myself and removed the girls from the set and disciplined them immediately. But that's just me. Live tv or not.

What I found funny was when Ashley said they all look different to them but Evie and scarlet are so identical that they have to tell them apart by hair ties. So what is it very different or so identical? Also poor esme she got bit so hard it hurt you can tell and no one went to her like they did indie she had to go to Ashley and all she did was sit esme on her lap. So consoling no cuddling

Part of me thinks the whole interview was the pity party for the KAD. OMG guys our lives are so hard we have four toddlers it's so hard. The KAD seem to eat it up, believe they discipline off camera etc. It was the same with the Ellen appearance...Ashley was talking and Ellen employees were trying to keep the kids from getting hurt...why make eye contact with your own kids when you're having your fifteen minutes of fame.

As shit as I think Tyson is as a person when the money and attention dries up I think he'll be the one who actually do something for the girls. I can see her taking to bed with a "migraine" or a "sore neck" and hardly ever interacting with her kids. All the eye rolling and dramatic sighing.

Me too! I think that’s what normal parents do. In public, with friends, with family... if they misbehave you stop and correct it. 2-3 year olds are not too young to start learning right from wrong and consequences.
I sure as hell would not sit there smiling and let my kids run amuck like that on live tv.

Thank goodness they got another date night! That’s 2 in one weekend if I’m correct. Laying on the couch is soooooo tiring while your brother does your housework!

I could be totally wrong, but was it even _live_ TV? Isn't Access Hollywood all pre-recorded? So they could have stopped, disciplined the girls, settled them down, and edited it all out. But they just sat there smiling like there was nothing wrong.

And YES-- you absolutely need to do something in the moment. If you wait, the moment is gone, and so is any chance of them learning something from it. Saying "Remember when you bit your sister an hour ago? Don't do it again. It's not nice." doesn't work. If my kids were acting out, one of us removed them from the situation and dealt with it. Jeez, even Duchess Kate does it-- remember the picture of her dealing with little Prince George? If a _real_ prince gets dealt with for being rude, what excuse do these idiots have?

You can't talk to a small child about something they did several minutes later let alone an hour later when they're done filming. They've forgotten about it already. So this whole parenting off camera if they do do it, which I doubt, that's probably why it doesn't work.

Of course they did, because how else could they show everyone how difficult it is to raise 4 2-year old (now 3). That is their whole schtick! "Look how impossible this is and yet every day we get up (eventually) and do their hair and dress them identically and drag them out for people to view. How awesome are we?"

I was just pondering this question and thought I'd throw it out to the group as it would be interesting:

If the Greedners just went away, no more vlogs, no more social media, no facebook, just stopped and lived their lives no longer in the public eye, and you no longer saw anything they were doing, got no news about them one way or the other, would you be happy/relieved about that or sad/annoyed?

Just another thought about the AH interview. Like all of you, I would have disciplined immediately. If that had been done, there might have been far less disciplining needed. But maybe not. Maybe the kids were too hyper and wired to be in that very unfamiliar environment without acting out. So I would have sat with them, and my husband, too, within easy reach to correct, redirect, comfort.

The thing is, if Ashley and Tyson tried to spin this as "this is our so-hard life", it sure doesn't work for me. The kids don't look bad (two-year-olds have meltdowns), but the parents look terrible! Just awful parenting on display.

I feel like I would be happy that they were not having cameras in the girls’ faces all day making money from them but then a part of me would wonder what was going on behind closed doors. Would the kids be 7 years old obese with their teeth rotting out of their heads still not potty trained and still having speech issues that were not addressed? I honestly don’t think their parenting skills, and I use that term very loosely, would change at all. They are lazy, selfish people.

Well I didn't qualify what would be happening or why they weren't publicly available, I just limited my question to those who have watched this particular family and asked what feelings would people in this group have if there were no more *public* display of any of them. Like poof, gone. No new content. All existing content gone. Nothing to snark about in terms of them going forward. Happy/relieved? or Sad/annoyed?

Sunnyunicorn wrote:I've heard of cake/ dessert parties on Free Jinger where they talk about the Duggars and other fundamentalist Christians. They do those to keep costs down because families are so large they can't afford to feed everyone (I believe all the Duggar wedding receptions are this way- thanks for coming here's one single cupcake!) And it's make sense for many Mormons to do this too as they often have large families.

But Queen Trashley and her pet bison have no excuse with all that exploitation money they're bringing in. They didn't pay for any of those desserts, grab some shit from your favorite place ever- Costco. Costco makes the best pizzas and those dumb flocks have plenty of ovens they can use. Even just a veggie platter FFS.

It makes sense "Elsa" came from a dinner theater. I mean, she has to know she'd look RIDICLIOUS dressed up as a princess, even if she's got a decent set of pipes on her. And kids don't care about the singing (the hands over the ears screen shot killed me), they care about seeing a woman who ACTUALLY looks like a princess! What a disaster!

Also, does nobody from their church (ward?) watch their vlogs? I'm no expert on Mormonism but isn't it a big fat NO NO to show your temple garmets like that? Good god just wear pants!
First, it is a big no no to show your garments. I am surprised that their Bishop hasn’t called them in to talk to them yet. Hopefully he has. And second with all the talent that is in Utah they could have gone to one of the universities and hired someone from the music department to be be Elsa and Anna. A young student with a voice who loves doing that stuff and can sing.

I'll answer since I asked everyone else their opinion.

I'd feel fine if they went away. It would not bother me or annoy me. I'm not invested in them or their children, I don't have any emotional attachment to them or their children or anything about them.

I have been gone for two weeks. Didn’t miss them at all. Thinking about no longer watching them anyway. I would be curious, and would watch if, 10 years from now, TLC did a where are they now episode. That is if I even remembered them. I might speed read Esme’s tell all book at B&N!

They aren’t going anywhere because their whole livelihood & existence depends on the internet/social media. I would not care if they went away though, at least their girls would no longer be exploited. It will take something very drastic to happen for them to pull out completely!
Did anyone hear about Logan Paul today?( he’s a well known YT blogger) I’ve seen it all over FB but I have never watched him. He went too far with one of his vlogs & has been severely criticized!

I think I'd miss snarking with the people here if they left. I would be happy the girls were no longer subject to the constant filming. On the other hand that clip of mom yank on that little girls arm getting in her face...I wonder what happens that they cut out. I wonder what will happen when they are no longer kept somewhat in line by filming. How much worse will the house get...how long they'll be locked into the crib net cage things. Not that me worrying can change a damn thing. Which is why I've had to step back.

The best thing would be for the families of these vloggers who expect their parents to potty train the grandkids to all step up and be like raise your own kids, take care of your own shit, get a job and support your own children. Be a parent. I wonder how many families would be less enabling if the money and the free trips to Disney weren't rolling in.
