2011TeenageSelfEsteem360 Part 21
Re: 2011TeenageSelfEsteem360 Part 21
Long time lurker, but this is my first post. Sorry for my bad English, it is not my native language. I have to say this-you are really nice people. Although this is a gossip site, you do not gossip if there is nothing peculiar going on. Also, you give credit Vanessa for her acomplishments.
I have to admit that she was the first youtuber I watched and that remained the most interesting one although I watch 7 families now. She is genuine to me because when she tries to hide something or pretend I always notice. That does not mean that she is dumb, I think she is naive in some way... I do not know how to explain that but I find her interesting and I am not a child or teenager. I lead completely different lifestyle, on the other part of the planet, I am not a parent and I am pursuing a really high valued degree in my country... I said this only because I do not want to be misunderstood... Your jokes on this forum make me laugh so hard from time to time. Just continue gossiping because criticism can be really useful as we see lately with Vanessa.

She has a good aesthetic for design work, considering she has no training. I think she could make a career out of graphic design or advertising maybe. But that's a whole other area of study and it might become a drag if she had to do it all day everyday.shaybaby wrote:Her new endslate looks awesome. Re: 2011TeenageSelfEsteem360 Part 21
I'm catching up on Vanessas vlogs and I have some advice for her (since she reads here) on the whole buying Lily toys every time they go to target; my husband and I had the exact same problem were we would give into our (now two year old) son by getting him toys every time we were at target or Walmart. We didn't think getting him a ball or a hotwheel would hurt, but now he got the hang of it. Vanessa, my advice would be to avoid the toys section as much as you can! I'm the type of shopper that likes to look at every aisle but we started to cut down our shopping trips very short and would make sure that we avoided the toy section. It's hard to not get my son a simple toy, but he does have to learn that he can't get something every single time we go to the store. Hopefully that will help lily as well.

I agree with this. We did the same thing with our oldest who is now almost 4. And he now expects things every time we go to the store and he throws a tantrum if he doesn't get one and he is never satisfied with what he has. He's so friggen spoilt and it's our fault. If I could go back and change that I would .hannahbanana wrote:I'm catching up on Vanessas vlogs and I have some advice for her (since she reads here) on the whole buying Lily toys every time they go to target; my husband and I had the exact same problem were we would give into our (now two year old) son by getting him toys every time we were at target or Walmart. I'm at fault for this too. I really just love seeing how happy she would get over something so small that cost about $3 (blind bags usually) but now she expects it. I'm not sure if you guys tell your kids about Santa but I've started telling her "not this time but don't forget so you can tell Santa!" It works for now atleast.staceybrax wrote:I agree with this. Dumb question but are you supposed to put those pancakes in the toaster? I would think the microwave would be the easiest choice because they would get stuck in the toaster..

I do the Santa thing too or birthday. It's my boys birthday on Friday and I'm like "no, your birthday is soon" and he's still like nope, I want it now and now I want these 7 other things too. It's so frustrating.Ambrosia wrote:I'm at fault for this too. I really just love seeing how happy she would get over something so small that cost about $3 (blind bags usually) but now she expects it. Id say microwave aswell.thenightowl wrote:Dumb question but are you supposed to put those pancakes in the toaster? I would think the microwave would be the easiest choice because they would get stuck in the toaster..
I also found it strange that she showed all the cooking utensils like she was about to make them but then gets them out of a packet

I don't get why she doesn't just buy regular size pancakes? That would be easier to get out of a toaster!
Re: 2011TeenageSelfEsteem360 Part 21
.... People microwave your pancakes o.O
In the name of the moon, I shall gossip about you.

Was that a question? I microwave the frozen ones out of the box (I don't buy those much because pancakes are super simple to make though)Yue195 wrote:.... People microwave your pancakes o.O

Just never heard of microwaving frozen pancakes before, like the closest to making quick pancakes for myself has been buying pancake batter in a plastic bottle, pouring water in it, shaking it up and then pour onto a pan.thenightowl wrote:Was that a question? Oh yeah, we have something like that where I live too! I mean that Vanessa has fed Lily frozen ones but she used the toaster, I had never heard of using the toaster to heat them (didn't know you could to be honest), now, I do put frozen waffles in the toaster.Yue195 wrote:Just never heard of microwaving frozen pancakes before, like the closest to making quick pancakes for myself has been buying pancake batter in a plastic bottle, pouring water in it, shaking it up and then pour onto a pan.thenightowl wrote:Was that a question? I buy my kids frozen pancakes and I use the toaster to heat them up! I buy the full size ones though, not the minis. I am not a Domestic Goddess and don't cook much.
