I feel like he asked to be verified though. He doesn't even have 100k followers. Bryan doesn't "earn" anything, no way.jodilo88 wrote:I called it that Bryan would go on about being verified on Twitter. Lol!

Those underwater pictures are hilarious. It looks like they did it as a joke.

Re: DailyUnnecessaryPurchases- Part 35
Anyone in the public eye can get verified if they ask for it. Tyson Apostle (Survivor, Spyson Podcast) made a joke of it when he saw thirsty Survivor "has beens" from years past getting verified. He joked that he should create a fake Tyson account just to see if he could get verified. His podcast listeners made a bunch for him and he did get verified. It was all just a joke.spacekitty wrote:I feel like he asked to be verified though. He doesn't even have 100k followers. I wouldn't put it past Bryan to make a fake Bryan Lanning account just so he could contact Twitter and ask to be verified. Bryan cares more about looking legit, than he does actually being it.
Who cares that no one takes him seriously because his fans are all children? Bryan loves being able to say he has 60K followers and is a successful recording artist.
There are people on Twitter with way more followers than Bryan that aren't verified. Why?....Because, they haven't contacted TPTB begging to be!

We're not going to get a lecture about the swimming pool incident cause they don't want to draw attention to their crappy parenting. If we do it will just be "you guuuiiize we totes disciplined Ollie off camera. We just didn't show that paaaaaart."

Do you guys ever wonder if they film controversial videos just to get everyone riled up over here? I mean it has to generate more views for them than their average video.

It baffles me that there are people who think Oliver can actually swim. Very far stretched in my opinion. Oliver can not swim, he's not even close. He can hold himself while holding onto the wall and that's about it. He can not hold his head above water and all he does is splash around while "swimming". If he was at one point too far away from the wall I would bet my ass he wouldn't be able to reach it by himself. He is not ready !

No. I think they really are just this stupid.Farleygirl wrote:Do you guys ever wonder if they film controversial videos just to get everyone riled up over here? I mean it has to generate more views for them than their average video.
If anything, I think they try to create perfect and holier than though, moments to try and piss us off. I'm sure anytime Bryan boasts about a purchase, his success, etc, he thinks he's sticking it to us.
Too bad for him he just comes off looking like an ass in front of his peers!

I only disagree with it because it's literally taking food out of the mouths of children. You don't mess with another persons income when they've got kids to support.
And I'm pretty sure this site frowns upon witch-hunts and riling up the mob with pitch forks. We keep our bitching here, and don't encourage anyone to take it to B&Ms social media.
By all means, do what you think is right, but don't try to rile up the troops here. It's been heavily discouraged in the past.

Re: DailyUnnecessaryPurchases- Part 35
Not to mention even if he COULD swim, he's quite small and couldn't he easily get tired of swimming from the middle of the pool to the wall? Does a two year old have the common sense to swim to the closest wall? Don't think so cause a two year old doesn't have the common sense to not get into the pool in the first place!dailycomplaining wrote:It baffles me that there are people who think Oliver can actually swim. I think it's fine. Its her prerogative if she feels the need to contact their sponsors. What the sponsors choose to do is up to them, just as what B&M do and how they behave under said sponsorship is up to them. It's not stealing food from any baby's mouths. Bryan has his hand in all kinds of cookie jars.Theirmom wrote:Cgl33 wrote:I completely disagree that it is going too far to contact brands that they work with. That's how business works. But I agree with Spacekitty... maybe it would actually be a good thing for Bryan to have to work an actual job again. That family isn't doing the best job of looking after the kids with two stay at home parents. Maybe it's time for a little growing up?!
Sam and Nia lost a sponsorship after making homophobic remarks. They lost more income after how he behaved at Vloggerfair. The fact he has kids to feed has nothing to do with it. People should be held accountable for what they promote if they are in the public eye.
Re: DailyUnnecessaryPurchases- Part 35
They just want to act like the "hater" comments don't bother them. And in fact, when controversial things like that happen, they even act like they are happier than normal . But we all know that's all they can think about...lol! If it didn't bother them they wouldn't have deleted all the comments. It's sad really, to have to "act" in your day to day life.Farleygirl wrote:We're not going to get a lecture about the swimming pool incident cause they don't want to draw attention to their crappy parenting. I loved her shoot!! Ugh! I'm glad they did both underwater and out of water dry. They look like they will be beautiful because you probably won't see Missy's face and they'll be more artsy type photos
Re: DailyUnnecessaryPurchases- Part 35
This. I would never contact their sponsors because I think they are annoying; this was actually dangerous. What they did put poor Ollie at risk. What if some parent watches their video and decides to do the same. Or God forbid a kid puts their toddler brother or sister near a pool to see what will happen.HelloSweetie1 wrote:I think it's fine. As far as sharing my letter, I didn't feel that it was going against rules. If a mod believes otherwise, they have a right to delete.

Re: DailyUnnecessaryPurchases- Part 35
I can't believe she said the photo shoot was easy and felt like she wasn't doing anything. Guess what, Missy? You weren't!! And of course she loved it because it was about her (not Finn like they say) and their minions are telling her how beautiful she is, and that she and Bryan are just the most awesomest couple, and they totes want to be just like her.
I went back and looked at yesterday's, and you guys were totally right. Papa was soaked. He looked so uncomfortable! Someone commented to me that "Ollie looked like he knew what he was doing. He didn't jump in at all" so I had to point that out... He didn't jump in _that we saw_.
Who wears a silk robe in the hospital after giving birth? I totally want to get lochia and breastmilk all over a nice robe. YAY.

I want to focus on today's vlog since that if is so alarming.
I am writing to you as a concerned customer regarding your sponsorship of the DailyBumps YouTube channel. On September 12, 2015, the DailyBumps uploaded a vlog titled "Counting Contractions" in which Bryan and Missy Lanning "tested" their two year old son Oliver to walk beyond their pool gate and swim in their pool by himself. Their irresponsible parenting must be condemned because unintentional incidents, including drowning, are the leading cause of death among children.
The DailyBumps channel has almost 700,000 subscribers, whom they influence. Bryan and Missy Lanning have defended their actions and deleted critical comments.
I am asking Target to take a stand for child safety by dropping your sponsorship of the DailyBumps YouTube channel.

I don't see anything wrong that person contacting their sponsors. If you're working a job and do something that a customer doesn't like they contact your boss.

Re: DailyUnnecessaryPurchases- Part 35
I looked it up, because I didn't know what it meant to get verified (yeah, I am out of the loop-- just ask my daughter) And you can't actually ask to get verified. But he could have gone to different ISP addresses and tried to create Bryan Lanning accounts, making them _think_ that he's "in demand". I can't believe the things this guy chooses to get all excited over.spacekitty wrote:I feel like he asked to be verified though. He doesn't even have 100k followers. Good news on the home front: I told my daughter that if she really wanted to meet them, we could hang out at Temecula Promenade mall, or the Temecula Freebirds, and she said she has no desire to meet them! She's not even watching every day.

They have forms and if you are getting verified, then you can request someone else be added in too.lmmomSD wrote:I looked it up, because I didn't know what it meant to get verified (yeah, I am out of the loop-- just ask my daughter) And you can't actually ask to get verified. Maker could have easily got him verified based on his music.
All Evan Edinger did to get verified is add his name to the bottom of his employer's verification request form. He had to list the reason and he put music. He was verified and he had hardly any followers at the time!
Regardless, to B it's a sign he's made it. It's a blue check mark.... not a recording contract. Like everything else he does, it won't impress others as much as he thinks.
