HashtagBlessed wrote:I think that the Easter party theme is clever in the sense that Easter decor is literally everywhere right now so it will be super easy to decorate, but it's a stretch to say that Juniper is born close to Easter when she's was born March 8 and Easter this year is April 1. I also have to laugh at the irony of all of the veggie/garden decorations when Kelsey didn't do the research and has no follow-through with her garden.
Exactly! The spring/Easter decor is everywhere, but they are going to the more expensive "craft" stores. Why not get a bunch of decorations at Target's $1 section or even Dollar Tree?? They'll probably trash everything anyways! Plus, aren't they moving after the summer is over?? Why get more junk just to move it in a few months??
I have a big Dollar Tree nearby that always carries A TON of cute seasonal decorations that look just as nice as things from those expensive craft stores - and 80-90% is reusable for the next year.
Oh I have a feeling a lot of that stuff is going right back to the store after the party. Between shopping Missy's collection and returning things to the store, I'd be surprised if they hold on to very much.
So Corbin is highly offended if a store employee dares to insinuated that he is the babysitter, but it seems that any time Kelsey wants to leave the house on her own, Corbin makes a big stink. Remember when she went with her mom to get her nails done for MOTHER'S DAY and Corbin complained about how long she was gone, basically whining about having to take care of his own child solo? Now today Kelsey says that she "asked if he would be okay" with her running a few errands today while he stayed with the baby for nap time. That wording struck me as very odd. They're both stay-at-home parents, you would think running errands while someone stays back with the baby would be pretty routine. But I guess Kelsey needs to ask her husband if it's okay before she can run to Starbucks and Target while he watches the baby?
I think it’s more to do with Corbin being a control freak than anything else. They seem to have always had that kind of relationship where Kelsey has to ask permission to do anything

I can't fathom being in a relationship like that. He gives her such a hard time, and I think she's realizing this is the price she pays for being a "kept" woman with Corbin.
So someone in their family gifted them that gear, the box is clearly sent from someone close “love you” is on the box, yet Kelsey thanks her sister for her advise and no that is to whoever bought it. They act like they purchased the gear themselves.

I'm guessing it's from Missy. It wasn't mailed and that camping stuff is expensive - all that stuff was probably $1000! I doubt anyone but Missy would splurge for no reason.

I noticed the sender wrote "the wandering family" instead of "the wander family." I think Missy would be familiar with the actual name of their YouTube channel? Makes me think it was a family member who isn't familiar with YouTube, like Corbin's parents. The big camping trip was planned when his parents were in town to install the sod. And we all know that Corbin seemingly shuts them out, and once they're invited back in his parents shower them with gifts and free trips.
HashtagBlessed wrote:But I don't see any mailing slip on the package, and the only person who lives close enough to drop that off is Missy.
That's what I'm thinking too. It wasn't mailed and Corbin's relatives in SoCal live at least an hour or more away. And why would they buy them $1000+ of camping gear?? That baby carrier alone is $300 at REI! The sleeping pads are about $100/each. The sleeping bags are about $250-$300/each.
I don't think Corbin's family would spend money on them like that. Plus, Missy isn't that bright...I doubt she even watches their vlogs or knows the name of their channel.
Corbin can't even pronounce spanakopita? Yep, they are really world travelers/explorers/wanders, aren't they.....
It's actually so funny that they really AREN'T "wanders" or even travelers - they haven't really been anywhere since the van trip way more than a year ago (and that was even cut short). The most traveling they've done recently was to the "exotic" frozen food section of Trader Joe's.
They said they are going on a backpacking trip before their big one in Arizona. Who else thinks they'll cancel the 10-miler after their first small attempt at backpack camping? I really can't see them actually doing that LOOOOONG hike and camping trip with June. They're just too WIMPY! (Especially Corbin!)
Missy suggested a catering company to bring in appetizers for the party (so not necessary) but Corbin and Kelsey decide to go with trader joes appetizers (waaay more realstic) but I guess that means missy does draw the line somewhere on what she will pay for for them haha
Anyone ever watch the real house wives where Taylor had an OTT tea party for her daughter (Its an old episode)
If Missy was in full control that would be June's 1st bday

The amount of money these idiots pay for things. $300 dollar backpack carrier. That these dumbfucks didn't know adjusted despite their being adjustable clips literally EVERYWHERE! I feel sorry for June that she's going to be stuck frying in that backpack on their 40 mile round trip hike in scorching heat. I am however happy there will be 7 other adults there to make sure these morons don't kill their kid with their stupidity. I knew they didn't cloth diaper for too long. I like Kelsey says not even a month and Corbin was like "No we did for a few months" you dumb fuck shut up. You would remember a few months of washing cloth diapers daily.
He is just the absolute worst! Them trying to give advice on parenting is a joke. Neither of them barely function as a normal human. Let's not hand out advice.

Speaking of diapers... I hope they understand that they are going to have to pack out every bit of trash they acquire on their trip. That means June’s diapers too. There were no trash cans when I did Supai.

I'd think the upside of being a kept woman is always knowing where your next Trader Joe's frozen meal is coming from lol. I kind of get the vibe that Bryan and Missy really love June and Kelsey, and if K was done with Corbin tomorrow they'd help her pay the security deposit on a new apartment. I don't think Corbin's wheedling is the reason they get freebies from DBs, is what I'm saying.

I dislike Corbin even more after their draw my life thing. The fact that he went off ended things and strung her along. Then when she was ready to move on and do her he comes back and basically states he's ready for just her. Doesn't seem Kelsey ever got to experience a relationship outside of Corbin. Which is depressing. Girl needs some none whiney diq
