Something is fishy. As much as they lie, I question most of what they say. Why would you pay for a trip to Hawaii when you have a free one? Makes no sense.

Catching up again and been meaning to say this but did anyone notice in the NICU vlog when Tyass got to hold all 4 girls for the first time there were no tears. I remember from experience the first time I got to hold my premmies and my hubby too the floodgates opened. Most emotional days ever.

I agree Krouton this trip seems fishy! I am pretty sure it is not a work trip and would be surprised if it involves TLC.

Are Tyson and Ashley in competition to see how many life feeds they can do in 1 week?!? I think we are up to 6!

I agree, this trip sounds fishy. Why would they be going to Hawaii for any reason besides redeeming the free trip from Ellen?

In the UK we use EYFS (Early years foundation stage) to assess how a child is progressing. A family member was collating the assessments for the nursery in the school they work at so I borrowed a blank copy. ( http://www.foundationyears.org.uk/files ... Guide1.pdfHere is a much longer version, I have a copy of just the developmental target for marking off on)
In order to achieve a level, the child must have achieved all previous age level ones too. There is no way these children would be assessed as advanced here and their parents inability to recognise this is just upsetting. At over 30 months old, december birthday? 31/32? they should be meeting all the first three age groups, the majority of the 22-36 month targets, and possibly achieving the odd one or two targets for 30 months. If advanced then I reckon all 36 month targets should be met.
A couple of examples (under spoiler because, holy long!)
Personal, social and emotional development
Behaviours and self-control -
  • Birth to 11 months.
    • Are usually soothed by warm and consistent responses from familiar adults
    • Begin to adapt to caregiving routines
  • 8 to 20 months
    • Respond to a small number of boundaries, with encouragement and support - debatable, we don't see evidence of boundaries
  • 16 to 26 months
    • begin to learn that some things are theirs, some things are shared, and some things belong to other people - their parents don't encourage them to have or recognise anything as being theirs and theirs alone, not 'shared' with sisters
  • 22 to 36 months
    • Are aware that some actions can hurt or harm others - Well they are aware their actions hurt others, hence Indie? carries out the action - ear pulling
  • 30 to 50 months
    • Begin to accept the needs of others, with support
    • Show care and concern for others, for living things and the environment - see previous
Self care
  • Birth to 11 months
    • anticipate food routines with interest
    • Express discomfort, hunger or thirst
  • 8 to 20 months
    • begin to indicate own needs, for example, by pointing
    • May like to use a comfort object- do they have anything like this, other than the regularly rotated minks, if not this just makes me sad, I can't imagine growing up without a favourite childhood cuddly toy or blanket, something for adulthood, the number of people I know whose comfort item still holds a special place even as an adult,
  • 16 to 26 months
    • Show a desire to help with dress and hygiene routines - I guess taking their soiled nappies to the bin every morning counts, do we ever see anything like teeth cleaning?
    • Communicate preferences
  • 22 to 36 months
    • seek to do things for themselves, knowing that an adult is close by, ready to support and help if needed
    • become more aware that choices have consequences
    • take pleasure in personal hygiene including toileting - yeah, well... that ain't happening
  • 30 to 50 months
    • Show willingness to tackle problems and enjoy self-chosen challenges
    • demonstrate a sense of pride in own achievement
    • take initiatives and manage developmentally appropriate tasks
Communication, language and literacy
Language for communication
  • Birth to 11 months
    • Communicate in a variety of ways including crying, gurgling, babbling and squealing
    • make sounds with their voices in social interaction
  • 8 to 20 months
    • Take pleasure in making and listening to a wide variety of sounds
    • Create personal words as they begin to develop language - is it not especially common for twins to have their own languages between them?
  • 16 to 26 months
    • Use single-word and two-word utterances to convey simple and more complex messages they seem to have got this now
    • Understand simple sentences
  • 22 to 36 months
    • Learn new words very rapidly and are able to use them in communicating about matters which interest them- not so much
  • 30 to 50 months
    • Use simple statements and questions often linked to gestures.
Use intonation, rhythm and phrasing to make their meaning clear to others.

    • Join in with repeated refrains and anticipate key events and phrases in rhymes and stories.
    •
Listen to stories with increasing attention and recall.

    • Describe main story settings, events and principal characters.

    • Listen to others in one-to- one or small groups when conversation interests them.
    •
Respond to simple instructions.

    • Question why things happen
and give explanations.
- do any of them ever ask why? I'm sure thats a crucial part of child vocab
    • Use vocabulary focused on
objects and people that are of particular importance to them.
    • Begin to experiment with language describing possession.

    • Build up vocabulary that reflects the breadth of their experiences.

    • Begin to use more complex sentences.

    • Use a widening range of words to express or elaborate on ideas.
Problem Solving, Reasoning and numeracy
Shape, Space and Measures
  • Birth to 11 months
    • Develop an awareness of shape, form and texture as they encounter people and things in their environment.
  • 8 to 20 months
    • Find out what toys are like and can do through handling objects.

    • Recognise big things and small things in meaningful contexts. "
  • 16 to 26 months
    • Attempt, sometimes successfully, to fit shapes into spaces on inset boards or jigsaw puzzles. - yes
    •
Use blocks to create their own simple structures and arrangements. - yes
    •
Enjoy filling and emptying containers. - do they have access to sand and water play? sand especially has so many benefits, mark making, etc
  • 22 to 36 months
    • Notice simple shapes and patterns in pictures.

    • Begin to categorise objects according to properties such as shape or size.
 - doesn't one of the larger twins like sorting
    • Are beginning to understand variations in size.
[i) - does who has the biggest treat count! [/i]
  • 30 to 50 months
    • Show an interest in shape and space by playing with shapes or making arrangements with objects.

    • Show awareness of similarities in shapes in the environment.

    • Observe and use positional language.

    • Are beginning to understand ‘bigger than’ and ‘enough’.

    • Show interest in shape by sustained construction activity or by talking about shapes or arrangements.
    •
Use shapes appropriately for tasks.
    •
Begin to talk about the shapes of everyday objects.
Place
  • Birth to 11 months
    • Explore the space around them through movements of hands and feet and by rolling.
  • 8 to 20 months
    • Love to be outdoors and closely observe what animals, people and vehicles do.
  • 16 to 26 months
    • Are curious about the environment.
  • 22 to 36 months
    • Enjoy playing with small-world models such as a farm, a garage, or a train track. - do they even have access to anything like this??
  • 30 to 50 months
    • Show an interest in the world in which they live.

    • Comment and ask questions about where they live and the natural world. "
Physical Development
Health and bodily awareness
  • Birth to 11 months
    • Thrive when their nutritional needs are met.

    • Respond to and thrive on warm, sensitive physical contact and care.
  • 8 to 20 months
    • Need rest and sleep, as well as food.

    • Focus on what they want as they begin to crawl, pull to stand, creep, shuffle, walk or climb.

      "
  • 16 to 26 months
    • Show some awareness of bladder and bowel urges.
- Well they show awareness, its just ignored by their parents and they don't show it as much anymore as they've got used to it
    • Develop their own likes and dislikes in food, drink and activity.
- they don't get the opportunity to develop their own likes and dislikes, everything is all four or none
    • Practise and develop what they can do.

  • 22 to 36 months
    • Communicate their needs for things such as food, drinks and when they are uncomfortable.
- again, they don't do this because I don't think they are ever allowed to know what hunger is the amount of snacks they get to placate them
    • Show emerging autonomy in self-care.

  • 30 to 50 months
    • Show awareness of own needs with regard to eating, sleeping and hygiene.

    • Often need adult support to meet those needs.
    • Show awareness of a range of healthy practices with regard to eating, sleeping and hygiene.

    • Observe the effects of activity on their bodies.

I don't have enough patience to watch the videos for examples for each quad, so I guess I'm not treating them as individuals but the parents drive me nuts.

That one whole thread that had some pretty heady comments in it is completely gone. I guess the truth was too much to see. It called into question and exposed several of their lies and gave factual information. Makes you go hmmmmmm doesn't it?
----do you really want to go there ?

"Just waiting for comments saying to get the hair out of the girls' face because it's going to give them eye issues or something . Love this family!"

Most of the early morning comments are adolescent girls. Why aren't they in school?
It's still summer vacation here in the US, which is why the girls are not in school.

I am a little behind on reading the last few pages, will catch up soon.. A while back someone mentioned here maybe Drake and, the one with the pool that they were hoping to go to all summer, Claudia might be getting married in Hawaii? I remember once Tyler announcing some bullshit event ahead of time and Asswipe wanted the suspense and the anticipation of the KADs and said Don't tell them! meaning We need the views...I can't think of any reason they would not take advantage of the Ellen trip all paid for.. Maybe there are stipulations/an itinerary for the Ellen trip? IDK... The whole thing is weird,, but then again it's them.

I had to leave for about an hour...

Oh wait a second, hold your horses.. wouldn't it be cool if it is Drake's wedding in Hawaii and he hopefully (Claudia) knowing what the Ellen trip included and booked the wedding on a different island, not even close where the Greedners could use the Ellen trip? I truly hope that is the case.. Talk about payback or should I say payout.. you go Drakie!! if that's the case.. Maybe he grew some or borrowed Claudia's..
Can't wait for the flight over and so sorry for the "helpers" I hope the seats are ok :D :D :D    :mock: :mock: :mock:

That really pissed me off! Evie pulled the top off and Trashley said "no no don't touch", but 30 seconds later she did it again and no one said anything. Those little monsters pretty much destroy everything they are given. Maybe that's why they are only allowed to play with toys designed for babies? Even the one year old I look after has more respect for his things! :x

Isn't peek a boo something we play with our babies at around 6 months?

My grandson (who is 2weeks older then FF) is visiting this weekend and we are spelling his name out with those plastic letters and making cities and roads with blocks. I asked him if he wanted to watch Boss Baby and he said to me "I already saw it at mamas house" (parents separated)

I think if I started playing peek a boo in a baby voice he would look at me like I had 3 heads.

That was my observation too. My 2 year old stopped thinking peek-a-boo was funny almost a year ago.
Although the quads really are stuck at about 16 to 18 months developmentally, so I guess it still works for them.
They are only allowed to play with toys for babies anyway.....

I might be remembering this wrong, but I thought that Mimi and Papa gave them those chairs for Christmas. Though it's also the first time I remember seeing them since then.
