As a normal person I was grossed right out by the pacifier. When I take my 9 month old baby to the doctor when we get home he gets in the bath his clothes, any blankets, and whatever I had on gets thrown in the washer. Sure it might be a little over the top but I DO NOT want those nasty germs in my house. Also eve is way too old to be putting stuff on the floor in her mouth. I feel like if ruby wasn’t constantly on camera her parenting method would be way different.lmmomSD wrote:Exactly. It's about things that don't really matter in the grand scheme of things. You put it perfectly. But picking up pacifiers in a doctor's office and popping it in her mouth, (which as a nurse grosses me out SO much-- she had NO idea what germs could have been on that thing) and running off in public and disappearing, sitting in her car seat properly strapped in when the car is moving-- those are not "pick your battles" things. They're a big deal.izziebelle13 wrote:lmmomSD wrote:She says she has to "pick her battles" with Eve. But she doesn't pick any of them. She doesn't bother to discipline Eve _ever_. I get picking your battles. But that means you do have to engage at least some of the time!

i swear the phrase ‘pick your battles’ means stuff like wanting to wear mismatching clothes or buying $1 toys because it’s not worth fighting about. not whether eve takes something from a store or runs off and ruby doesn’t want to tell her off.
