I really hope they don't prolong getting his speech evaluated. My son just turned 4 last week. When he was around 2 we started noticing he was having some issues with is receptive language, so we decided to get him evaluated. He was in speech therapy for a year and a half. He started school last fall, and at his school they require every child to get evaluated for his speech. Thankfully, he now has no issues with his speech and his school thanked us for being diligent and not afraid to get him evaluated. I think most parents assume if your child needs any kind of therapy for their development, that means you have failed...but the real failure occurs when you decide not to get your child evaluated.Eduncan wrote:Hey guys long time lurker first time poster! I've been watching the lumps since missy was around 8 months pregnant with Finley.
I've seriously had enough with these lumps just throwing their money away buying toys that'll be forgotten about in 5 minutes for the kids, oh and ollies speech drives me crazy, why don't they get him evaluated?!
So Missy and/or Bryan, if you are reading this, do NOT be afraid or ashamed or feel like you have failed just because Ollie may be having some speech delays. At this point, I don't care if you decide to keep it out of the vlogs, but please get him evaluated. You'll thank yourselves for doing so when he's older!
