The fact that homeschooling is even on their radar makes my blood run cold.

Educationally having taught that age I cannot understand why Mrs Frost hasn’t brought more resources to bear. Whether it be speech, PT, OT, sight, hearing or pediatric related if I had a shadow of a doubt I’d refer for assessment. I’d much rather do that and the referred specialist/therapist wonder what the heck I was concerned about than not refer and miss that incredibly valuable window of early intervention. Any educator of young children knows that early intervention utilises the timeframe in which the brain plasticity of a child can create new pathways. I can think of only three reasons why early intervention is not taking place.

1. Mrs Frost needs some serious professional development.
2. There are extra resources involved that are being kept private. However if this is the case those resources also need retraining because I can’t see any progress that could be linked to early intervention taking place.
3. The Greedners are refusing the involvement of other resources.

I’d bet my last dollar it’s the third option. I think they know that as they move into more formal education in a broader school setting than what the current one seems to be that there will be more pressure placed upon them and some harsh realities for them to face up to. And more expectations upon the girls that they’re likely to struggle with.

But what makes me even more concerned is that I feel it’s just as much, if not more, of a control issue. Isolating not just the girls but the family unit as a whole. That scares the crap out of me.

Just tested this, as I have a business page, a personal page, and a page where I share info on the chronic illnesses I have. I blocked one and it did drop my follower count by 1.

Hod help those girls if they are homeschooled. I agree 100% that homeschool them would be all about control, and an attempt to avoid more professionals seeing their delays and insisting on getting them evaluated and actually getting the help they need.
