"Letting Fast Food Workers Decide What We Eat for 24 Hours". Does that mean they ate fast food for all three meals? Makes my stomach hurt just to think about it...

Yeah that's what they were supposed to do. But I noticed when I watched the video, they only did one meal. And they got way to much food, so they said they were going to stop by a friends and give them their leftovers for dinner.lmmomSD wrote:"Letting Fast Food Workers Decide What We Eat for 24 Hours". Re: The Weiss Life
How many gifts does a two years old need on her birthday? Gemma was throwing away most of the stuff she got as there was A LOT and couldn't focus properly on what was going on. I also wonder why they keep on buying pretty similar toys for each kid on their birthday, that junk has to be put somwhere in the house, I'm surprised that with 5 kids it's not all over the floor.

Why does Gabrielle just stare at the camera smiling like that?

Re: The Weiss Life
The way the parents just yammer on as if _anyone_ is watching to see them, with the girls just sitting there silent with that vapid smile, is just disturbing AF.melihey wrote:Ikr! Creeps me outmissparzival wrote:Why does Gabrielle just stare at the camera smiling like that?

They are totally selling their girls out. I'm positive there are lots of creepers watching their videos, and the worst part is that the girls have no say and don't even seem to get a chance to express themselves.
The whole Easter egg dying fiasco was really telling for me. You don't put a bunch of kids at a table that you're going to freak out over spills on, and have them dye eggs. They could have used the kitchen counter or even the floor. Spread out some newspaper and let them have fun! But no. It had to be all controlled and perfect looking.
Ugh. Those poor girls.

Re: The Weiss Life
Also as for the "selling their girls out"... I'm just here thinking about all their "first period kit" videos and wonder how much the girls want to do this. I know it might be helpful to some kids to watch their videos, but when I was 12 the last thing I wanted to do is film my first time shopping for sanitary napkins with my mom lol. They're so doing it for the views and money.

Re: The Weiss Life
And the bra shopping! I would have been mortified to do either for public consumption.melihey wrote:Also as for the "selling their girls out"... I didn't even watch that video. I saw it on their channel but I just find these kind of videos so cringy. When I was 13, I was also so embarrassed to tell my teacher that I couldn't do PE because of my period. Don't other kids from school watch their channel?

Re: The Weiss Life
And that's just a haul for stuff to be sent to fans They're gonna do a back to school SUPPLIES shopping for the girls, then another video showing what they actually got for each girl. Then another one about back to school CLOTHES shopping. And Melissa is gonna film on her channel one about back to school GROCERY shopping. They might also do one about back to school HAIRCUTS. And for sure there's gonna be one about back to school teen PERIOD KIT shopping. I'm probably forgetting a few other videos. You know, just gotta be prepared for schoollmmomSD wrote:How long are they going to drag out this "back to school shopping"?

Re: The Weiss Life
Don't forget back to school LOCKER decorations!
That cracks me up. When I was in high school and middle school, nobody went crazy decorating their lockers. We put our books in, went to class, and didn't spend much time at our lockers. I just don't get it.

i’m pretty sure i didn’t even use my locker half the time. it’s there for storage how can you use it if it’s filled with unnecessary decorations?? i don’t see the point of decorating a locker

Thank you. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's ridiculous.Emmakins wrote:lmmomSD wrote:Don't forget back to school LOCKER decorations!

Re: The Weiss Life
I just came across this family... and I just wonder, why do all these families always have to put their kids in front of the camera and have them talk about all their bodily changes, and going out and making period packs... I don't care if a kid came to me and told me they were perfectly fine with it, I wouldn't believe them. It's one thing for a child actor/actress to be portraying a character, I am sure they's still be embarrassed... but, it's another to be talking about yourself, and the changes your personal body is going through. I can't imagine any girl or boy going through puberty, just being okay with that being filmed... Or maybe I am just crazy. *shrugs*

Re: The Weiss Life
I actually think it's good content talking about it. My criticism of them like most YouTubers too much of their content is shopping especially at Target. Don't get me wrong i LOVE Target....but the shopping they show seems excessive.ThisIsMeCeej wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 6:12 am I just came across this family... and I just wonder, why do all these families always have to put their kids in front of the camera and have them talk about all their bodily changes, and going out and making period packs... Re: The Weiss Life
I'm torn about it. On the one hand, I have seen comments from girls saying that their parents are uncomfortable talking about the changes they're going through. And it's good to decrease the stigma around periods.blessedunrest wrote:I actually think it's good content talking about it. But these kids can't consent. And their _parents_ are making a living off of exploiting them. It's one thing if a girl takes it upon herself to make a video about it, but these people are definitely exploiting their kids. And there are so many videos of them yammering on while their daughters stand behind them and smile vacantly at the camera.

Re: The Weiss Life
I don't get this as well. The Binghams made a similar video too. This is actually a thing in real life and not just on TV? The most maybe friends/family pictures and a small mirror that's it.lmmomSD wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 9:41 am Don't forget back to school LOCKER decorations!

Most students in my middle and high school never used a locker (very late 90s/early to mid 00s). My school district always had a textbook set in each class.(I was in a big school district too - my hs class about 450-500 students) We would get textbooks the first day of school keep them at home throughout the school year then return them the last day of school.
