Definitely found it. There's a lot of photos. Interesting considering Ruby was saying about wanting to renovate the laundry room. She did have a fairly recent post or story about finding the house too small for growing kids, but then said she loved it... So very strange to then list the place.

Shouldn't Chad legally be entitled to a lot of the money this channel makes? The videos which star him (in thumbnail or title) obviously draw in 4x as many viewers than any of Ruby's other videos. I'm sure he would have some claim to a lot of the profits if he had means. Either way, Ruby should have SOME kind of moral compass telling her her kids deserve a lot more than she does out of all of this...does she think she'd have anywhere near as many views if her kids dropped out of the vlogs for, say, a week? She'd probably drop more than half her subscribers if she announced the kids would no longer be in the videos.

I sometimes wonder if the whole 'kids aren't allowed smart phones/access to the internet' rule is more to keep the kids out of the 'business' than it is to keep them off 'other sites'.

I hope with all these new youtube regulations comes some kind of guarantee of wage for the kids who 'star' in these vlogs. Chad is a very stark example of the issue, but it's a lot of family vloggers as well, seem to give absolutely nothing to their kids when they deserve at least half the profits.

They should at least set up bank accounts and have profits from each video go directly to that account, where the parents can't access it, and the kids get access at 18...how is youtube any different from child stars on reality shows? (the kids on Dance Moms, for example)

tl;dr: it's ridiculous Chad has 'no money' when he is a HUGE part of why Ruby has ANY money. Despite it being morally disgusting, she should have no legal right to keep things like clothes and a backpack from him when his face in a thumbnail has earned the cost of those items probably 100x over.

It’s different because on shows like Dance Moms are cast are employed by the network. There was contracts and legal obligations, which is how they can make story look however they want.

Youtubers just milk their kids for money.

Might be the wrong family but didn’t they have fans come to their house and drop things off? Maybe that’s a reason why they are moving. Or Shari has a fit and begged them to move so she could have her own room. I can see that happening

I very rarely post on here, but lurk every so often, so apologies if this is already been covered, but I noticed their house has been listed for sale within the past 24 hours (i'm ill and bored, so was googling various things). I thought the plan was for them to stay where they are? Has Ruby mentioned this in the vlog yet?

If the house was just listed yesterday, this won't be mentioned until the new year lol. I think the videos we're seeing right now are from the first week of November. It would have made more sense to move 2-3 years ago, when they were at peak popularity and the kids were not in high school yet, but they wanted to stay put. They put so much work into renovating the house and backyard to their preferences. Chad might be pulled out of the school he just started going to. What is it with these YouTubers and randomly deciding to move?

The kitchen they'll see a return in their investment and the backyard somewhat, but all the rest of the renovations they could have skipped.
I could see them moving for privacy especially since it seems they are on a busy road. I'm assuming they've saved for this move since their YouTube business will not be as profitable in January. This is the latest information on COPPA I just found. In spite of Jeremy's efforts on J House Vlog/Law in DC, they are up against advocacy groups and four senators. Bottom line for creators = money loss.

From the video What the FTC Commissioners Told my Attorney About COPPA Jermey states:
"Come January first what what is YouTube going to be what is that going to look like what effects does this have on them as an actual business well I mean I think creators they will likely also be losing significant revenue right because ad revenue in personalized ads was a major system for them of making money and here's the thing they now have to compete in the kids space with contextualized ads and that's a space where TV has been dominating for years."

If their house really is for sale, I’m glad it’s happening. All the kids need their own rooms. 14 year old Chad shouldn’t have to share with Russell and Julie shouldn’t have to share with her littlest sibling Eve.

I’m guessing the move is because Chad and Russel sharing a room isn’t working out since Chad has been home. It was mentioned Russel kicked him out and Chad sleeps on the couch.

The latest (at least last time I looked) IG post from Ruby... Julie looks absolutely beautiful in it. Chad was right to say she looks like a model, when he came home. And she is almost a head taller than Shari... that has to make Shari mad as heck.

Bonnie and Ellie bought some land, but they aren't building on it. It was an impulse buy (supposedly) and it doesn't have water or electricity or anything like that, and they haven't actually been building on it. As a matter of fact, they haven't even mentioned it in forever.
And Ruby's kitchen reno didn't cost much because home owners insurance paid for most of it. So that will help, since the newly renovated kitchen will help it sell.

the reason for moving could be anything, could be the ward is too judgmental, they want to move closer to the school, they need more space etc.
